Talisman: An unfurling scroll is skillfully carved into the surface of a small disk of fine-grained modwir and painted gold, its form curling around the edge of the disk to form a border. At the center, five rings link together, each painted a different color: red, green, blue, black and white. On the reverse, a hawk is captured in flight, its beak turned to the heavens in a silent scream. Engraved into the rim of the disk in flowing script are the words, "Only with wisdom to sing to the stars."

Overrobe: Delicately shimmering silk strands have been woven loosely into the fine, nearly transparent gauze which comprises this light and airy garment. The fluidity of the fabric allows the robe to mold the wearer's silhouette, and when the material is in motion, it creates an illusion akin to the appearance of softly falling rain.

Slippers: Mimicking the hue of windblown leaves on water, the fine silk of these slippers is faintly iridescent in nature. A silvery sheen blends with the leaf-green hue to give it a soft quality, further enhanced by the thin argent threads used to create a gently swirling pattern across the fabric.

Strung on a delicate silver chain, and enclosed within a spherical cage of cleverly contorted filigree, is a fragile luna moth wrought from the finest faenor. Natural veins of darker green and grey sweep across the verdant wings of this beautifully crafted insect, the metal beaten so thin as to be almost translucent. The slightest movement causes the moth to tumble within its silvery cell as if fluttering in protest of its incarceration; the metals chiming softly against each other to raise the alarm.

Adjustable cross-lacing runs through silver eyelets down to the small of the back with no other buckles or lacing visible to the eye, relying on clean lines for aesthetics. At first glance the wide band of silver seems to be an innocuous piece of jewelry. Lining the interior are rows of tiny vicious inward barbs, each configured so as to leave the impression on the skin of having worn a thorny vine.
The cuff bears a small circular slot which looks like it would fit a gold ring.

They are good, what I would say is, wearing so many obscure termed items that everyday people are not going to know, is in fact probably going to make them skip over you. I would suggest one or two uniquely phrased items per outfit, that's what I do...because then said item stands out.

You look closely at Aihan, examining a variegated grey chainsil tunic. Tailored in a loose thigh-length cut, this chainsil tunic follows a traditional sylvisterai style with a keyhole neck and wide, flaring sleeves. Cinereous threads make up the warp, while smoky blue threads form the weft, woven into variegated hues of grey that become darker as they reach the crisp folds pleated around the hemline. An embellishment of exquisitely embroidered feathers falls from the left shoulder in a sporadic pattern, as if they were stirred by the wind and held firm with ebon threads.

You look closely at Aihan, examining some pleated grey chainsil pants. Dark as stormclouds at the waist, the grey cloth of these chainsil pants fades to the lighter grey of fog and mist at the hemline. Twisting verdant threads climb the folds of the fabric in delicately embroidered blades of grass, symbolically joining the elements of sky and earth.

You look closely at Aihan, examining some thin soled doeskin moccasins. Side-laced with sturdy hide cords, the thin soles of these sylvan moccasins are made to allow the wearer to feel subtle variations in the ground, allowing for better footing.

As the original comment about the obscurity of correct terms, I wanted to say that I wasn't trying to pick apart your alters. Although that IS something you should expect on these boards if you didn't already.

Mostly it was just a comment on an issue that all fashionistas have had to deal with at one point or another. Do we choose what is correct or what is understandable by the greater percentage of the population? Even then, what is understandable isn't always wrong.

Really, it comes down to whether or not one made the alteration to be seen. If they're court clothes, I would guess that's a yes. When you want to be seen with a certain item, in certain clothes, with a certain look, you need to be sure that those who look will understand. Otherwise, it will give the point a complete miss.

For myself, when I was playing, I picked a middle ground. I picked words that I knew the other fashionistas (who pretty much all post on here) would understand even if the rest of the population with their boots on their hands wouldn't.

The words you chose aren't readily understandable to even most of the people who make it their business to dress correctly and well. Even I had to look up botews and siglatoun. Most won't put forth that effort and it's something all of those who care just have to accept, eventually.

She is wearing a pair of wire-framed spectacles, a fur-lined sanguine silk pelisse, an inlaid obsidian skull symbol, a trailing obsidian silk kirtle swept with sanguine hues on the long layered sleeves, a dainty raven faille reticule, an onyx-beaded urnon chainlink handflower, a hip-slung thin vaalin belt of bloodjewel discs, a pair of sheer thigh-high silk stockings with a lace border, and some delicately pointed black leather poulaines.


Hairpins : Spun silver pins are topped with deep sanguine bloodjewels, each perfectly carved into the shape of a skull. At the tips of each pin are small obsidian caps to prevent harm when worn, and delicate thorn designs trace down the posts in a sinuous pattern.

Symbol (4winds transporter) : Wrought from a piece of brushed silver, the symbol is plain in its design of a cracked skull. Inlaid into the forehead is a single piece of carefully carved obsidian, running from the top rim to between the eye sockets. On the reverse side silver is swirled over the image of winged dark elven woman. Elegant script is engraved along the outer rim of the backside, in a circle around the depiction.
In the Common language, it reads:
For Him I serve.

Pelisse : Crafted of dark sanguine silk swirled with veins of twilight hues, the pelisse falls in such a way as to rest below the hips of the wearer. Lining the interior of the hood and down the front is deep black fox fur, accented with flourishing silver embroidered thorned vines along the hem and hood. Small obsidian buttons fasten the garment down the left side, each etched with the image of the crest of House Faendryl.

It's all been seen before relatively recently, but I :heart: the hairjewels and choker especially.


Hairjewels: Several dark, deep purple prismatic spears radiate outward from a central point in each hairjewel to form this crown-like collection of amethyst crystals. Each spear shows the deepest color in its interior, fading gradually to clear crystal on the outer edges. A setting of silver encases the jewels, with delicate braided strands of silver connecting each one to create a web-like appearance over the hair when worn.

Choker: The choker is nothing more than a thumb-wide piece of black velvet designed to be worn snugly around the neck. A single silver hook and eye closure adorns the back, the muted silver nearly disappearing in the embrace of the plush fabric.

Sash: You see a raven black silk sash made of fine silk and decorated with masterful skill. Wound securely within lengths of the sash and positioned to be worn on the left hip, you see two fine scabbards set together. The first, a richly engraved dark lacquered scabbard, is set slightly forward and lower than the second, a gold-inlaid dark lacquered scabbard. Both are angled for a quick draw in combat.

I like it, but I think maybe you should incorporate more gold into the outfit (other than the scabbard) to give it more color.

Thanks! I'm not extremely thrilled about "billowy" either, but not many of my other pants fit that kind of look (and I'm content with it for now). But I also didn't think many people would take notice of the gold, since it's in a show, so I stayed kind of one dimensional with the shades of red (from the scarlet and cherry blossoms).

Dented in numerous places, this rusty bucket is in such poor shape that it is doubtful it could even be used to carry water, sod, or seed. It appears that someone has gone to great pains to instead make it function as a helm. The front has been cut away to accomodate a hinged visor, which appears to be crafted from old gardening spades, with two slotted openings to allow the wearer to see. The bucket's rope handle has been cut at its midpoint and fastened with a rusty iron buckle. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

With mud plastered wholesale across these diminutive coveralls, they are certainly in an advanced state of disarray. Some unintelligible words can barely be discerned through the muck, stenciled across the bib and apparently reading, "Y-ps Snap-y" along with the letters "H.D.S.". A patch -- shaped like a shovel -- has been sewn onto the breast pocket.

This shovel appears to have seen better days. The scoop has a large fissure running down its length and looks as if it could break off at any moment. The slender maoral handle is severely cracked and splintered, further attesting to its misuse and poor care. A leather strap is attached to each end of the handle, allowing it to be slung over one's shoulder.

Signs of neglect and abuse are evident on this small watering can. The bottom of the container is coated with gooey brown sludge, while flakes of rust peel from the body and spout. Slopped crudely on the side of the can, in thick black paint are the words, "Yaps Snappy."

Cloak: Fashioned from deep blue matte silk, the fabric of this cloak falls in graceful folds to a three-quarters' length. A trio of slender silver chains clasps the high collar, fastened together with a rose-cut sapphire brooch.

Cuff: The heavy cuff is sectioned into four jeweled scenes. The first is a spider formed of garnet shards, nestled within a web of silvery veniom. The next features slivers of tigerfang crystal resembling a clenched fist, edged with sanguine eahnor. Strips of near-translucent onyx create the hazy image of a figure in shadow against the backdrop of silver for the third scene, and the final segment holds tiles of green jade inset into a lifelike raven, its head tilted as if gazing into the distance.

Ring: Endowed with a twilight-lavender hue, a princess-cut shimmarglin sapphire sits in the central fitting of the eahnor band, its surface carefully etched with a fully bloomed stargazer lily. Cradling the gem in a gentle embrace, a thin inlay of shaded imflass foil is molded to resemble a bed of pale pink roses. An alternating series of tiny ivory honeysuckles and aubergine violets are engraved along the length of the band, creating a pair of twisting floral chains.
There appears to be something written on it.
In the Sylvankind language, it reads:

Boots: Faint silver tracery adorns the fine cobalt leather of the half-boots, swirling upwards in delicate whorls from the sole towards the ankle. The short rounded silver heels are slightly tapered, adding a touch of feminine grace to the footwear.

Formed from thick beige wool, the style of this coat features a high collar and waist-length bottom hem. Austere, and yet tailored to taper inwards at the waist to better suit a female form, the coat fastens down the right side with a line of smooth glimaerstone cabochon buttons. Lining the inside of the coat is layered silk dyed a dark brown.

Beautiful tiny black pearls gleam vibrantly and reflect a rich golden hue when tilted toward the light. Perfectly round and flawless, the pearls are strung together tightly with thin silk black thread. The necklace consists of four tiers, each one falling at different lengths down the collarbone. Talisman (altered giftbox item): An unfurling scroll is skillfully carved into the surface of a small disk of fine-grained modwir and painted gold, its form curling around the edge of the disk to form a border. At the center, five rings link together, each painted a different color: red, green, blue, black and white. On the reverse, a hawk is captured in flight, its beak turned to the heavens in a silent scream. Engraved into the rim of the disk in flowing script are the words, "Only with wisdom to sing to the stars."

Satchel (for holding healing props): Supple panels of a light tan doeskin form the front and sides of this wide satchel, looped and sewn with precision craftsmanship into a series of many small compartments around the edge. A glistening smoky umber swathe of fur serves as the flap, the grain of the fine hair arcing perfectly in symmetry with the design. Dangling from the corner compartment, a slender length of acantha stem pokes through the stitching.

Runestaff: Doeskin wraps several times around the staff, forming an intricate braid pattern to serve as the grip. Sinuous rivers of thin silver inlay run along the wood, slightly shimmering when light strikes it. Capping the staff is a silver disk inlaid with a ring of five stones of different color. The silver of the disk melds with the silver along the staff, as if it were the source of the rivers of silver inlay.

I made the boots myself using materials from the 2006 EG. The bracelet is an amulet holder.

If she needs to wear armor, she wears a bodysuit of subtly shaded leathers: Verdant silk laces spiraling down the back draw the leather tightly about the voluptuous curves of the feminine form, highlighted by sinuous gold and silver tracery. Numerous faint green hues slide into each other, creating a soft variegation to mimic the play of light within a forest at day.

Hairjewels: Tiny faceted rubies secured with needle-thin silver clips comprise this set of hairjewels. The rubies have been cunningly cut into rose-shapes, though each blossom appears to be in a different stage of life. An examination of all the jewels reveals everything from a tiny rosebud to a rose in full, resplendent bloom.

Slippers: Lengths of ebon silk crisscross over the top of the slippers to the sole then extend to wrap around the back of the wearer's foot. A trio of rose-cut rubies clasp each slipper at the ankle and the delicate soles give way to subtle silver heels.

He is wearing an ebony leather tricorn, a high-collared ebon leather coat, a coiled steel and bone disc, a web-coated leather harness, a rum-stained yellowed linen tunic, a dull silver skull ring, a trailing dark red silken sash with several hilts peeking out, a scaled ebon leather loot bag, a claw-like leather tube, some black linen pantaloons, and a pair of wide cuffed leather boots.

And for the shows on a few of the items:

Tricorn - The black leather hat is pliable, with softened seams and a flexible, tricornered shape. Save for the small embossed image of an angular serpent skull and crossbones stamped centrally on the hat's front, the expanse of dark leather is unadorned. The look is timeworn, but serviceable.

Coat - Matte black mithril buckles secure the coat up the front and down each sleeve, each slightly concave to lie flat against the coat's leather body. Rivulets of crimson silk curl along the cuffs and wind down the lapels, the dark hue barely visible against the darker black. Slight rips and tears in various states of repair riddle the garment, while twin dull obsidian clasps draw the high collar upright to frame the wearer's face.

Disc - Thin layers of steel curved through a hammering process form the coils that comprise the disc, creating the image of a serpent. The steel is faintly sheened with a combination of malachite and ebon hues to lend the scales etched upon the surface a realistic appearance. Two flakes of onyx create eyes upon the head of the reptile as it curls upon its slender tail, and just within the mouth a hollow is formed. Two slivers of preserved bone form fangs that appear to be designed to cradle something inside.
The disc bears a small circular slot fitted with a faded gold ring.

Tunic - What once could have been a dashing white garment, the heavily stained tunic is quite a mess. Despite having a loosely designed cut, a row of matte black mithril buckles are fitted along the sleeves as well as the front of the shirt. Slight tears and rips cover the entire garment, some having been stitched up, while others droopily hang open. Several small pockets are sewn into the lining of the cuffs and waistband, their presence betrayed only by narrow openings in the fabric.

Bag - A single red steel buckle clasps the bag, cast into the shape of a serpent's head. Its maw gapes open, fangs extended to double-puncture a thin, belted strap. The leather body of the bag is embossed with a pattern of undulating scales.

Tube - Crafted from aged and blackened leather, the claw-like tube is very small -- the leather is time-worn and rubbed shiny in many places. A banding of alternating obsidian and wyrwood rings circles its center, and discreet runes have been stamped into its body. Talons dangle from the wickedly curved ends. The leather of the cylinder appears strained, as if containing far more weight than its size would imply.

Pantaloons - The pantaloons are dyed midnight black and meant to be worn very loosely. Ragged tears line each leg from the knee to the ankle, some are patched up while other loosely hang open. Two discreet sheaths are tucked away upon each thigh, their existance not hindering the wearer at all.

Boot - Fastening the calf-high boots are numerous blackened steel buckles, dark in hue as the rest of the supple leather uppers. Soft ebon suede is cut to fashion the soles, which are stitched together with no potentially clicking tacks or metal pieces.

a one-eyed black crow charm - A little smaller than a live crow, this bird closely resembles the real thing. It is covered with sleek, soft black feathers and has a split tongue. A vertical scar mars its face where it's left eye should be, but the socket is empty. A tiny steel tag dangles from a chain on its right leg that reads, "Task the crow!"

The scabbard is made from black leathery hide and designed to hold a large weapon. A crest of Chastonia has been stamped on the outside of the sheath, but is extremely faded. At the opening, three thin strands of matte black steel encircle the scabbard, while the tip is capped with a chunk of obsidian.

An eerie green color permeates the nearly transluscent fabric of the scabbard. The seams of the piece are completely absent, and the apeture for the weapon seems to be woven into the material.

The helm is well worn from years of use and combat. Runes have been inscribed upon the helm in a form unrecognizable today. Sinister dark eyes upon the helm look through you almost as if they could peer through your clothing. The feeling is eerie.

Detailed images have been inked into the flesh, that at a first glance appear to be a real wound. A depiction of a horned viper slithering out of the wound, accompanied by several spiders has been inked around the gash.

a series of odd markings on his chest - Detailed inking spans his entire chest, starting at his collar bone and ending at his waistline. Resembling oddly shaped runes of unknown origins, the series of markings interweaves with itself in a variety of darkly hued colors interspersed with bright colors. The contrasting bright and dark colors combined with the careful interlocking of markings creates a shadowy effect across his entire chest.

an intricately inked tattoo on his back - Incredible ink work spans the entire back. Interlocking symbols of Zelia, Eorgina, Onar and Luukos are set in sort of a diamond-shaped pattern upon the flesh. Misty tendrils of black and purple surround the symbols in an irregular pattern.

Time and years of use have tarnished the eahnor buckles and rivets of these trousers. The leather is worn and scuffed on the knees, seat, and oddly enough the shin area as well. The rivets reinforce all but the outer seams of the legs, which are fastened from hip to ankle with a row of buckles to ensure a close fit.

Cloak ( consolation cloak scripts ) : A layer of raw silk lines the interior of the elegant cloak from the deeply-cowled hood to the floor-length hem. Tailored for a large frame, the cloak is comprised of supple, impeccably brushed twilight silver suede with ebony stitching along the seams. Two narrow pleats adorn the middle of the seam across the back to give the garment flare and a row of silver-set obsidian buttons fasten the cloak from mid-chest to hem.

Shirt ( one of my first OG ideas ) : Tailored to fit a large frame while partially exposing the chest, the sheer silk garment is secured from mid-chest to hem with four polished moonstone buttons. Lengths of vibrant silk in varying hues of earthy brown, ruby red and jade green twine together in a slim cord, attached by a narrow bead of moonstone to the right shoulder and the bicep.

Case : Thickly belted by raw leather straps, the smooth surface of the darkened ora case appears charred at first glance with subtle hues of matte black melding with the natural light grey color of the metal in a shadowy pattern. Engraved upon the lid in elegant script is the word 'Zrenigotham'.

Several layers of clear lacquer finish the outside of this narrow wooden case, allowing the fine grain and intense wash of rust red and honey yellow to stand out as the main feature of the box. He is wearing a massive black warrior's mantle, some crossed leather bandolier, an invar mesh leather war pack, a dark mithril-veined vultite breastplate with a myklian claw tooled on the chest, a tattered leather gem pouch, a fur-covered leather loincloth, a silver-edged vruul skin thigh-sheath, and some rugged worn boots.

Massive in its size, this mantle is suitable for the broadest of shoulders. It has been lined with deep black wolf fur, making it extremely warm. Each bit of fur has been woven into the cloth beneath to form an intricate pattern of swirls. It seems the once noble mantle has been poorly maintained since much of the fur is torn and bedraggled. Within one of the swirls, "The Warrior's Guild" emblem is perfectly threaded.

The loincloth is fashioned from sturdy black leather and covered in a mangy black fur. Upon closer examination you notice small bone beads woven into the fur in an intricate design of swirls. Also a small message seems to be crudely embroidered in the leather that reads, "Don't Stare."

Had the loincloth made a long time ago, and it holds more than most leg-worn items (very necessary... if you catch my drift!).

Traces of eahnor edge the hood and the thigh-length hem, and etched into the surface of the right breast is the image of a modwir tree silhouetted against a crescent moon, the outline of which is detailed with slivers of eahnor filigree.

Mantle :
Lined with dark green silk to compliment the faenor modwir leaf clasp upon the shoulder, the mantle is comprised of brushed ebony suede that is well-oiled to protect against the elements. A deeply cowled hood provides protection for the wearer against the same, and faenor threading wends its way along the seam from the hood to the floor-length, sweeping hemline. Surprisingly light, the fabric shifts elegantly with each movement to create a billowing effect.

Boots:
Supple kidskin dyed a deep ebony hue comprises the boots, the pliable material well-oiled and shining. Designed with comfort in mind, the footwear features thick soles and a slouched ankle that drapes down in a folded cuff. Dark natural leather cording laces the boots from toe to ankle, and the end of each cord is capped with a faenor modwir leaf.

Tattoo: Faint traceries of gold infuse the slit-pupiled eye with hints of a crystalline structure to suggest faceted citrine quartz. Five rings, each in tones of cinnabar, jade, lapis, hematite and pearl, interlock in a circle beneath the honey-hued eye, enclosed within an oval of vivid turquoise. Elothrai (which I did really fast, I think I might re-do it. I tried to do it to match her cabochon.)
Deep honey, ginger and cream swirl and bleed into one another creating a whirlpool of hues in the heart of this coin-sized agate. Framed and held in place by a thin gold chain, its rich hue enhances the traces of bright gold that dance throughout the oval cabochon's smooth surface.

Cabochon
Tight knit swirls of ginger, gold, and honey create spiral vortices that dance across the surface of the cabochon and are reminiscent of a whirlpool. Etched at the heart of the stone is a nautilus shell, its tubular length accented by the curving bands. A braided cord of bronze, gold, and ginger silk is looped through a bronze circle set into the back of the piece, while a tiny missive is etched just beneath.

Slits from waist to hem and wide, fluidly draping sleeves accommodate for ease movement in this garment. The Erithi are slightly taller and thinner than humans, (about 5'6" to 6'6") with slightly pointed ears and almond-shaped eyes, usually with somewhat vertically 'slitted' rather than completely round pupils.

Been getting a few alters in Plat, so I figured I'd share another incarnation of Nilandia.

You see Nilandia Liserna the Academic.
She appears to be a Sylvankind.
She is tall and appears to be youthful. She has softly sparkling forest green eyes and smooth, creamy white skin. She has very long, golden-highlighted sunset red hair that has a slender braid at the temple adorned with an emerald parrot feather barred with pale peridot. She has a gentle and delicate face and slightly upswept ears that taper to fine points. Her long, graceful neck accentuates her fragile, finely boned features.
She has a rose-twined ebony key tattoo on her neck.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing an amber-set carved modwir talisman, a layered faenor-hued chainsil mantle falling from a shoulder-pinned chrysoprase faewood leaf, a sheer silk gauze sylvan surcote, a pale-sashed verdant silk robe, and a pair of calf-tied soft suede sandals embossed with five-petaled blossoms.

The tattoo came from a storyline where Nilandia officiated the wedding of two spirits.

Talisman: Tinged with subtle gilt accents, a scroll carved in bas relief unfurls across the surface to edge the small disk and frame the central image. There, five rings tinted in varying colors interlock about a finely polished cabochon of rich golden amber. Two tiny plumes intertwine within the stone's honey-hued depths, a pelican's feather spiraling about a hawk's quill. A line of script follows the scroll's path, the fluid lettering almost lost within the ebb and flow of the modwir's grain.

Without Wisdom, Life is meaningless. Without Life, Wisdom is dead.

Surcote: Delicately shimmering silk strands have been woven loosely into the fine gauze comprising this light and airy garment. The fluidity of the fabric allows the robe to mold to the wearer's silhouette, and when the material is in motion, it creates an illusion akin to the appearance of softly falling rain.

Robe: Twice-bound by a sash of pale malachite-hued silk gathered by a cabochon of polished chrysoprase, the robe's fluid lines and slender silhouette resemble nothing so much as a bliaut tailored with a slightly looser fit. Delicate golden tendrils pick out the veins of painted willow leaves scattered over the flowing garment to collect at the hem and edges of the knotted bell sleeves. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

Once a fine naval-style longcoat, the blues that make of the theme are long faded from sun and salt. Made in the traditional style of the Ashrim, the sleeves have been torn off and studded along the frayed edges with black vultite. To keep the bottom hem from unravelling further, a band of segmented vultite plates have been sewn into the leather. Nicks and chips mar the once perfect aquamarine buttons, the proud Ashrim House crest on the left breast now faded and barely disernable with age.

Stitched with sturdy sinew threading and crafted from soft but faded leather, the jerkin was once a deep rich cobalt with silver embroidery. Thick black cotton sleeves are slightly bloused and laced from wrist to elbow with heavy rope cording, tarnished trident-shaped silver cufflinks glint in the light against the dark material. Fastening down the front are a series of leather and silver cinches, each etched with a wolf's head over an emerald-inlaid trident.

She's a fire mage and I'm trying to show that by keeping her in a lot of warm toned metals/reds and the cloak needs to be redone. The fucking merchant the other morning told me I needed my long descripton to be less than 12 words and that I had to change the robe base it was into a cloak.

She is wearing a crimson blazestar ferroniere on a herringbone vaalorn chain, a gold-streaked firecat skin harness, a reddish-gold firecat hide bag, a delicate teardrop ruby pendant, a luxuriant reddish-gold firecat fur mantle lined with ebony spidersilk, a jeweled sunset-hued corslet, a low-cut ebon spidersilk bodice with deep red flame-stitched sleeves, a dainty golden charm bracelet, a red and gold scroll case, a sunset-hued silk skirt with a thigh-high side split revealing a sheer ebon spidersilk underskirt, and some tall ebon silk-lined boots.

The sunset-hued mirror says, "Une, you look good."

All based around the box found mantle and most of the stuff is off the shelf from events over the years, apart from the skirt and her armor which I had altered to match. All a bit flashy really but then she is an Eorginian worshipper.

corslet ~ Cross-laced down the back with burnished gold laces, this supple leather corslet is cinched tightly to fit snugly and accentuate a narrow waist. Although originally a rich dark brown, the leather has softened over time to subtly shift in color with every movement and glows like a fiery reddish-gold sunset. Tooled over the left shoulder is a resplendent soaring dragon, its large ebony-scaled wings outstretched to expose an underbelly encrusted with tiny, radiant fire opals.

I *love* this hair. Of course, I was always a deviant when it came to hair alterations (I never had anything cascade or sun-kissed) but I can't help it. I love different, imaginative, wild hair.

Cloak: Fashioned from deep blue matte silk, the fabric of this cloak falls in graceful folds to a three-quarters' length. A trio of slender silver chains clasps the high collar, fastened together with a rose-cut sapphire brooch.

Half-boots: Faint silver tracery adorns the fine cobalt leather of the half-boots, swirling upwards in delicate whorls from the sole towards the ankle. The short rounded silver heels are slightly tapered, adding a touch of feminine grace to the footwear.

She is wearing a simple silver circlet set with a moonstone cabochon, a silver-pinned black silk cloak, a royal purple silk corset, a silver-webbed moonstone orb bracelet, a floral-motif eahnor ring, a black taffeta skirt with tints of rich purple in its pleats, and a pair of open-toe black velvet slippers.


Bracelet: Delicate silver strands are woven into a close-knit braided mesh to form tiny web-like cages for the small orbs of silvery moonstone that form the flexible bracelet. Soft shades of silver chase one another across the pallid surfaces of the gems as light strikes them at differing angles to perfectly mimic the natural phenomenon of moonlight shining through thin clouds. A clever hasp is hidden within one of the braids so that the piece never tapers, but is always the same uniform thickness.

I'm giddy as a schoolgirl over the alters I had done at the festival.

You tap a wine-dark oiled cotton greatcloak that you are wearing.

Several layers of sturdy cotton cloth are quilted together for toughness and warmth, and waterproofed with linseed oil. The cloth is dyed a blue-gray, echoing the appearance of an unfathomable sea. Artful use of silver thread in the quilting picks out a clenched fist across the back of the cloak. A silk lining of emerald green lends elegance to the whole, and a row of silver toggles glint in the dimmest light. A silver clasp set with a vibrant blue moonstone gathers the fabric at the throat.

You remove a fist-pommeled elven-bladed claidhmore from in your doeskin britches.

A study in contrasts, the glimmering, deceptively slender blade of an elven claidhmore has been bolted to a leather-wrapped steel hilt sized for human hands, which appears all the coarser by comparison. Delicate decorative scrollwork at the base of the blade clashes with the relentlessly practical, unornamented sweep of the crossguards. The hilt's sole concession to form over function is the pommel, a brightly polished silver fist clenched around a small and beautifully faceted emerald. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

The tangy scent of salt water lingers briefly accompanied by a distant voice, "House of Paupers' Low Fashion Show will begin shortly on Plando's house boat! This wall shield is cut in an oval shape and the surface is colored a deep matte black. Inset into the shield is a large stylized flame, wreathed in tendrils of shadow. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

Rich and regal, the armor is striking and sophisticated in both look and design, despite the wear and tear of many years of use. Thin sanguine rivulets create sinuous flames tipped with thorns as they twist down the length of the supple leather, blending into the natural ebony color surrounding it. Each contour is accented by pale buckles carved from bones, fastening the braided cords that lace up each side of the armor. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

Supple leather fades in color from rich ebony to sanguine at the hem. Surrounded by small firestone studs, an intricately-crafted symbol of Eorgina adorns the center of the bag. Clasps of firestone-flecked bone secure the container when closed.

These wings are slick to the touch and extremly long, with arched tips that end in sinuous claws which can be made to grasp in the middle, bringing the wings closed. Along the ridges are small runes, which look to be painfully cut deep into the wings that lead to the apex, where a symbol of a silver-bladed scimitar on a field of crimson has been deeply burned.

She has a delicate mouth with small, full lips.
She has an elaborate tattooed design of flourishing swirls with accented dots upon her hands.

She is wearing a sheer saffron silk face-veil, a dainty copper-link necklace, an orange agate bead-trimmed shawl, a pair of chain-linked armbands dangling carved citrine beads, a sleek-formed full leather corset, a series of copper bangles, a long saffron silk kerchief skirt, a dark scabbard suspended from a low-slung hip chain, and some flat-soled leather sandals fastened with gilded rings.
