Tiny teardrops of the iridescent gems are nestled so close on the medium-length silver chain that the smooth surfaced stones completely conceal the links from which they hang. Indigo mottles the depths of the jewels adding a touch of vibrant color against the splashes of watery blue and green that surround the edges.

I won them at the EG Auction back in 2009 and I love them! They cast Major EWave (1x), Ice Patch (5x) and randomly shed feathers that cast Ice Patch too. The only downside is they take up the cloak worn slot. Not sure who owns the fire and dark sets now, they've changed hands a few times.

Edited to add: Since this isn’t the officials, I’ve decided to elaborate a little as posting my thoughts there would have only resulted in the GMs circling the wagons again.

Had this been an Itzel-run event I probably would have made the effort to stay up all night, dress Rohese and attend the wedding if only to see the other fabulous outfits on display. As it is, Ta’Illistim is sadly not the same town it was; there is no longer any court intrigue or sense of culture and community. Where are the seasonal fashion dictats (who killed Chalat anyone?), the art and music events, and the regular Argentate gatherings with their undercurrents of elven racism and political tension. Valyrka’s attempts at a storyline are sporadic at best and mostly done through IC posts on the boards. They lack continuity and depth and I’m tired of sitting around waiting for months for the next update. I appreciate it’s hard to live up to Kenstrom’s level of awesomeness and I know Itzel wasn’t loved by all/many but she did manage to bring a touch of class to Ta’Illistim: I miss her.

Winding golden thread creates a scattered pattern of wavecrests stitched along the edges and hem, complementing the deeper colors of the garment. Set in the curls and curves of the delicate embroidery are tiny pieces of lapis lazuli, sparkling with minute golden inclusions that perfectly match the hue of the decorative needlework.

earcuff: These earcuffs have been fashioned from copper wires of varying thickness in a pattern of long, curling tendrils. Together they create a stylized, ethereal swirl of air designed to fit snugly along the outer contour of the ear from the lobe to the tip.

Corset: Dyed a rich chocolate brown and buffed to a matte sheen, the underbust corset has no outside boning and instead relies on the hardened leather for its structure. Carved into each panel are numerous cogs and widgets hand-painted in myriad tones of gold, copper and bronze layered over one another to create an intricate clockwork appearance. The decorative front panel mimics the same design in a more concentrated and slightly raised pattern.

The rigid structure of the gorget forces an unwavering posture, elevating the chin and elongating the silhouette of the neck. It appears that a firm pull would unseat the ruby.

Corset is VLA:Oiled mocha leather, skillfully worked into an hourglass overbust corset, retains a slightly mottled sheen. Though five tiny industrial cogs fetter the corset down its front, it is the subtle steel boning and darting which gives the garment its sultry shape. A single leather shoulder strap is joined by a second, which crosses from left to right across the bustline.

Belts are amulet holders, boots are steampunk themed, hairstick is one of those amazing prizes from the Troubled Waters May/June loot.

The interior of this oculoth-shaped pouch is divided into tiny velvet-lined compartments, each approximately the size of a small gem. The pouch is shaped like an inverted oculoth with assorted jewels standing in for the demon's characteristic eyeball-covered body. The opening at the top resembles the horrifying mouth of the demon, complete with jagged teeth and a long black tongue lolled out for use in tying this monstrosity closed. The pouch is currently open and brilliant sparkles of reflected moonlight dance across its contents.

Crafted from pure silver, the band is shaped to look like a tiny, slender tree trunk, down to surprisingly realistic burls and bark grooves. Instead of a traditional setting at the top, the silver has been formed into a multitude of delicate branches. Tiny sephwir leaves carved from verdant glimaerstone adorn the boughs, wth minute seed pearls scattered in between.

Also I know the ring is technically wrong because a Sephwir is a needled tree. I'll get it fixed, I promise!

Appearing at first glance to be no more than a small carved wooden egg, the ovoid carving has been shined till the grain of the wood has taken on a warm sheen. Small imperfections add to the overall effect, highlighting the smoothly flowing lines of the grain. On the top of the egg is a small bezel that appears like it could hold a gem, while a small leather strap holds it in place. Seated inside the egg's bezel setting is a sovyn-incised diamond, which radiates an iridescent glow.

A marvelous display of miniature wood working, the carved spoon has a smooth pale ko'nag bowl with visible grain flowing in a delightful pattern from left to right, while the handle of the spoon has alternating leaf and feather patterns carved so that the space between them is cutout. The ko'nag spoon appears as if it could be used as an excellent eating utensil.

Crafted from pale, creamy white rowan, this case is formed into a perfect cylinder. Inlaid into the wood at both ends are rounds of delicate copper filigree, wrought to mimic the natural curves of leaves and thorns. Blackberry-hued cotton lines the interior, separated into compartments of varying sizes. A simple copper corkscrew clasp cleverly worked into the lining serves to keep the case closed.

You look closely at Aihan, examining a sylvan recurve bow. Whirls of mithril trace fanciful patterns along and around the length of the finely crafted bow. Linden heartwood and horn are layered together to give the weapon durability and a powerful draw. As beautiful as it is useful, the bow has been polished until it gleams softly and a light stain has been applied to bring out the grain of the wood. [H4H bow]

You look closely at Aihan, examining some suede vine-twined handwraps. Supple strips of brushed suede are plaited together and affixed to these pliant half gloves. The suede strips can be unwound and rewound easily and are held in place by winding dirge-vaon vines that start from the wrist and twine over the hardened knuckle pads. Intricate tooling at the cuffs depicts a stylized goshawk caught in mid-flight.

You look closely at Aihan, examining some bark-like auric green scalemail. Thin sheets of hammered imflass have been laboriously worked to mimic a tree's bark and leaves. Every leaf has individual characteristics, from furled edges to detailed veins, as they overlap to cascade densely over the shoulders and hips. A protective overlay of bark-like plates and scattered leaves cover the torso and limbs, riveted to a sturdy leather base. Most of the metal has been left to its natural green-gold hue with only hints of brown to highlight its exquisite craftsmanship.

You look closely at Aihan, examining a feather-lined stag hide vest. Smoke-treated stag hide has been cured and carefully sewn into a slim-fitting, lightweight vest. Burled faewood slipped through woven leather toggles keeps the garment fastened, and a light draping of mottled grey and white goshawk feathers adorn the seams at the chest and shoulders.

You look closely at Aihan, examining some supple cured stag hide pants. Fashioned from the skin of a mighty stag, the supple pants are sturdy in construction. Braided suede cording laces the outside of each leg and cinches the waist snugly.

Pale ivory damask has been stretched tightly across the high vamp of these slender backless chopines to provide the perfect canvas for an abstract owl design. The subtle blend of colors typically displayed by the stately raptor has been captured in onyx and chalcedony beading accented with gold-threaded couching and silver seed beads.

Rohese has the rich scent of fine milk chocolate wafting about her, encasing the milky sweetness of cream flavored with lavender. Base notes of almond and vanilla course throughout, giving the fragrance a decadent nose.

The tapering dark rowan handle has been worn smooth by age, the intricate rings and grooves carved into the wood to provide grip nearly indistinguishable by color variance alone. A slender, dark steel chain extends from a silver-inlaid cap wrought in the shape of a coiled sephwir branch. Attached to the end of the chain is a massive black steel ball, its surface covered in a dense pattern of long and faintly curved spikes, each implement sharpened to a needle point. You notice a small enchanter's glyph and Bluesmith's crafting mark.

a rootlet-caged blue amber pendant: A network of spindly maoral roots creates a labyrinthine enclosure around a uniquely shaped amber nodule that rivals a cloudless spring sky in color. The pendant itself hangs upon a necklace of knotted cattail cordage, simplistic in its testament to nature's austere beauty. [Enhancive]

an ebonwood blackbird talisman: Threads of silvery mithril shimmer against a background of stark black ebonwood, outlining the bas-relief form of a blackbird centered on a small heartwood disk. Scarlet-tinted kakore leaves accent a band of ochre amber along the bird's shoulders, before tapering off into realistically carved feathers layered across outstretched wings. Two dull black feathers hang from a small moonstone bead, which attaches the talisman to a fibrous cord necklace. Secured along the back of the talisman is a slender, hand blown crystal vial bearing a delicate stopper. [Ritual talisman doubles as a perfume holder.]

a grey-green combed wool cloak: Edged with dull black feathers along its deeply recessed hood, the circle of finely-combed wool carries a neutral grey-green hue with a thin, quilted lining of matching chainsil. Light honey amber beads tip suede cords, which have been braided into five-plait ties and then drawn through barely exposed slits beneath the hood's many folds. Repeating stylized geometric shapes edge the ankle-length hem, embroidered in a subtle viridian shade.

a narrow leaf-patterned chainsil bodice with braided copper and bronze laces: The finely woven chainsil that makes up this bodice has been left untreated by tints or dyes, leaving the linen to retain its natural hue. Wedge-shaped birch leaves follow in a sweeping pattern around the asymmetrical hemline, brought to life with an outlining of hair-fine copper and bronze threads. Birchwood grommets are cleverly concealed along the bodice's back, tucked nearly out of sight in a sculpted fold.

Grasping the cords, you attempt to pull your bodice tighter than ever before. All of a sudden, your vision starts to turn gray and you come very close to losing consciousness due to the lack of air! Quickly, the ground rushes towards you as you fall gasping to the ground. [Teehee! I love the bodice, even if the verbs don't fit Fehala's serious nature.]

some ochred tawny elkhide hunts: Tawny elkhide, burnished unevenly with ochre, presents a mottled appearance to the base material of this suit, which has been tailored to fit like a second skin under clothing. A high collar, secured by a serrated amber leaf hung from a mithril buttonhook, closely guards the neck. Adjustable sinew cross-lacing runs through mithril eyelets down the small of the back, the side of each thigh, and the inside of each forearm, while no other buckles or lacing are visible to the eye. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph. [Designed for Fehala by someone else a number of years back.]

a moss-toned ridged fireleaf runestaff: Long and slender, the runestaff is a study in shades of muted grey and green. The fireleaf shaft is coarse and gnarled, little more than a branch stripped of its leaves. At its apex, three elliptical leaves curl inward to form a gently curved pyramidal tip. The three leaves burn brightly in an orange and red hue. [610/616 Druid runestaff. Not my design.]

a faewood-set doe vertebra: A polished disk of faewood holds a flattened piece of doe vertebra, positioned sideways and held in a knotwork of root-like prongs. Hair fine strands of copper, hammered into layers, chase around the vertebra's hollowed center to become a rather crude bezel setting perfectly sized to hold a single gem. Most of the charm is left to nature's simplistic beauty, except for a solitary evening primrose carved into the wooden backing and highlighted with a faint bronze filling. Seated inside the doe vertebra's bezel setting is an uncut emerald, which radiates an iridescent glow. [Chrism holder. Don't leave home without one.]

Beautifully handcrafted in honey-toned gold, the front of the pendant showcases a bas-relief of white chalcedony water lilies mounted on glossy blue-green enamel while the back features an intricate engraving of a pair of curvilinear fish depicted as swimming in opposing circles.

A simple, sturdy, and weather-resistant bag preferred by soldiers of any stripe for its durability, this wretched thing has nevertheless seen better days. Mismatched patches have been haphazardly slapped over a half-dozen rips and tears, but more troubling are the ominous dark splotches marring what was once a uniform brown. It seems to bear some sort of crest or insignia, but time and abuse have faded the design beyond recognition.

So, when Gweniveer left the lands we were working out a project for a sort of.. pseudo-dryad look. Not so much an outfit, but more of a feature change with some outfit aspects. The idea was the change in appearance could coincide with a personality change. Even though she left in January, at the last few festivals I felt the need to continue working on the outfit. Then built on it some. With the tree-themed premium festival it got pretty easy to get some wood-themed items done and a few off-the-shelf items to go with it. So I present Gwen before and after.

The mask is one of those from the lumnea fest. The diadem is an altered veola with a hair change side.. if I ever get the chance to get more hair styles on a veola I want to do a flower side instead of leaves. The amber in the diadem is actually altered, also.. it's a rough heart of green amber or something along those lines. The corset and blouse are wrappable items, I just really like white birch.

I had some hand-wraps to go with the outfit, which would change your features to make you dirty, when you used them, but they wouldn't show up in the features due to the staggering amount of feature stuff already. Originally the veola was paired with a locked Gweedetta wig. I spent a few weeks buying various types of head worn items to see what would work together and what wouldn't I've got an altered gweedetta wig sitting around that is similar to the hair style now. When Gwen was around and I was working on this the two worked together, but there must have been an update at some point because you can no longer wear a veola and a gweedetta at the same time. But it turned out nicely.. less complicated this way.

The five heart-shaped petals of each blossom surround a cluster of coppery stamens, drawing the eye into their very depths where tiny crystals seem to glisten like droplets of dew. Scattered throughout the floriated choker are a blend of varied green, orange, and red jade-carved leaves, adding hints of autumnal color to the piece.

Using a deep black the color of a bottomless abyss, a series of numbers has been inked in a uniform line across the back of his neck. The number series has three zeros, followed by a one. The slant of the numbers and the slight nuances to their shape allude to a dwarven origin. Printed in tiny lettering under the numbers are the words, "Teras Asylum."

Sable sigils and symbols flow seamlessly between each other forming tight, interlocking corners and passages. Winding alongside them in a tightly coupled course, complementary characters are contrived in chrome. The black and silver patterns meld hypnotically towards two central foci in jagged funnels resembling an infinity loop.

A circular network of finely detailed runic patterns in gold is inked to look like a mystic compass or perhaps a timepiece on the wrist. Six silver sigils are set at each sixty degrees. From afar the details of a blood-red pentagram are slightly obscured by faint caesious ink. On closer inspection, the star appears to be anchored to a deep layer of the dermis, while having its otherwise sharp and angular lines marred with scarlet droplets.

Tattooed around the index finger, a series of magical tools spirals in dark jeweltones from azure and violet at the base of the finger to a deep ebon at its tip. Wands, tomes, and a very small cauldron make up the collection, while in between each item is a very tiny rune inked in a shimmering argent pigment.

Tattoo:
Mythical monsters great and small engage in gaily colored bloodsport in the gaudy and elaborate sleeve-like tattoo. The ink ranges from a ki-lin rearing up to kick the snarling kraken upon her forearm, to the roaring gryphon that wraps about her elbow to battle a great winged drake above, and all the little sprites and kobolds in between. A tattered yellow ribbon spirals down the length of her arm, reading, "I PUNCH DRAGONS," in a florid and entirely overwrought script.

Axe:
An enormous and savage double-bit steel axe is surely intended for a titan. Ragged thrak hide is wound down the middle third of the haft, reinforcing the grip, and the naked wood is nocked with some ghastly tally.

Cloak:
Once a goliath among its kind, this fearsome seafarer has been reduced to little more than the spoils of war. Thick, bristly hide envelops the wearer from top to toe, lined with a supple suede whose hood has been crudely stitched into what remains of beast's fractured skull. When drawn, the bleached, jawless maw crowns the wearer in macabre splendor.

Pack:
A simple, sturdy, and weather-resistant bag preferred by soldiers of any stripe for its durability, this wretched thing has nevertheless seen better days. Mismatched patches have been haphazardly slapped over a half-dozen rips and tears, but more troubling are the ominous dark splotches marring what was once a uniform brown. It seems to bear some sort of crest or insignia, but time and abuse have faded the design beyond recognition.

The bisected and flayed serpentine skins left connected to the heads are stretched and stitched together over the kelyn framework that shapes the corset. At the back, small claw-shaped hooks hold open tears in the reptilian flesh, through which pine-hued silk laces secure the rigid garment.

Nauriel has the heady, intoxicating scent of night-blooming jasmine and rose petals clinging to her in a seductive haze of fragrance. Heart notes of violet mingle with the hard metallic smell of copper and iron, all cut through by an undercurrent of ozone.

The piece has an irregular wavy shape with tiny faceted briolette crystals hanging freely from the bottom, while branches of brushed silver incised with night blue feystone shards climb upward around the wearer's throat and curl outward to embrace the jawline. The rigid structure of the piece would force an unwavering posture, elevating the chin and elongating the silhouette of the neck. It appears that a firm pull would unseat the feystone.

Two pieces of brushed platinum are interwoven together with a piece of finely polished veniom to create the base of the band, while small gaps between each section give the illusion of an almost web-like look. Scattered haphazardly along the outside are miniscule diamonds that are set into the metal. Engraved on the inside of the band is a line of elegant common script.

She is wearing a heavy jet wool greatcloak mantled with soft sepia-dappled jackal pelts, an asp-framed dark emerald pendant, a cinched hourglass black leather corset over a tunic of ivory challis side-split from thigh to hip, a damascened copper band, a carved copper asp ring, a trio of hip-slung, overlapping sepia leather belts, a pair of slim-cut black suede pants, and some tall sepia yierka hide boots fettered with bone buckles.


Age has tarnished the crevices between the intricately wrought scales of the golden asp, though the surface remains smooth and brightly polished. The snake winds its way around the edge of a large round dark green emerald, with the tip of its tail forming a loop to allow the pendant to dangle from a chain. The depths of the gloomy green gem are further shadowed by a black steel backing. Inscribed on the back of the black steel is a phrase in stylized Tehir writing.

She is wearing a long beaded strand of creamy white pearls, and a cropped pale pink sweater of open-knit paeline over a tailored cream-on-white bourde shirt, an enamel blossom-framed case, a petrified kakore hexagon bangle, a short skirt of white and ecru ruffles beneath a taupe canvas yoke, and some mismatched cream and pink kneesocks under a pair of adorable mushroom grey boots laced with cream-hued satin ribbon.


Bangle: (Amulet Holder) Narrow leather cords string together the six bevel-edged rectangles of dark petrified kakore that comprise this hexogonal bracelet. The passage of time has enhanced the wood's grain, giving it a mix of rich brown and deep red hues. Each kakore slab is inlaid with a pearly vaalin peony that contrasts starkly against the rich wood.

Case: Thin slats of yew and mahogany form the stripe-like facade of the container, each piece varnished in layers of clear lacquer to help further bind the woods. Draped at each corner are clusters of enamel cherry blossoms, the pink-colored flowers stretched upon branches of wrought copper. Tiny joined bits of bone have been fitted together and woven between the openings creating a unique snake figure. A pair of perfect emeralds are fitted into the head giving the creature eyes that glitter in any light.

Held together with a riveted frame of dark bronze, the bones of this reliquary are uneven, sawed off and made short to line up neatly against four panes of glass in a macabre display. The peaked lid of this disturbing container is fashioned from black oak and polished, giving it a soft gleam when in the light.


You have a complex, but mellow redolence clinging to your skin and hair. Top notes of smoked black tea blended with pomegranate and black currant are brought to heart by an infusion of sweet blood orange. The faintest hint of pink peppercorn lingers in the background.

choker: Layered over a wide choker of ebon silk are ornate copper whorls of varying sizes, each one intricately fitted with the next. Centered on the choker is a slender, copper-link chain suspending a large circular timepiece. Bulbous in shape, the timepiece has been inset with a number of cogs in different shapes and sizes giving a rustic appearance despite the delicate inlay of its pearly vaalin face.

corset: Shapely panels of rich, azure satin cleverly hide the stiff boning of this longline corset while small copper buckles cinch its wide shoulder straps. Twin columns of square copper rivets trail down the garment's flat front, creating a decorative focus to its hourglass shape. A series of cogs and keys in a variety of warm-toned metals have been strung on a long chain draped between the third rivet down and the outside right hip.

I oufitted him with a bunch of stuff from various characters' lockers and came up with what I think is a nice 'adventurer' look.

earrings: Pearly iridescent glass forms slender branch-like tendrils that arch and curl in upon themselves in elegant simplicity. Interspersed along the limbs of the long earrings are tiny milky celadon jade briolettes, blooming like tiny flowers along the length of the branches.

gown: Sheer illusion tulle, fitted seamlessly over this celadon silk sheath gown, descends from elegantly-tailored flutter sleeves before splaying gently into a fishtail train. Subtle, hand-stitched vinework along the bodice extends and develops into intricate floral and thistle embroidery in myriad shades of blue and green on the ethereal train. While some of the blooms have been sewn with tiny pearls, socketed centers add depth to the tiny forms.

Longcoat:
Tucks at the waist pull the supple black leather longcoat inward before flaring out at the hips and ending mid-thigh. Narrow rectangular socketed segments have been set onto the sleeves at right angles that form geometric patterns that begin at either shoulder and increase in intensity and frequency toward each cuff. The leather longcoat has an empty socket that looks ready to have a gem pushed into the longcoat.

Glove:
The leather glove is encased in an armature of blackened metal caging, each brace and articulated joint connected to the next with a piece of copper wire fitting. Beneath the metal, the glove itself has only three fingers, but has a heavily padded doeskin palm. In a jangled attempt to add a bit of sparkle, tumbled honey beryls are welded in golden arcs across the triad of knuckle braces.

Longbow:
The spiraled limbs of this sleek bow are constructed from gleaming honeyed oak. Two small glittering emeralds embedded in the polished silver nocks accent the deep golden stain of the wood. Worn suede, dyed a deep emerald, is braided about the twisted wire grip and bound in place by a thin ebon-hued leather cord. A small silver fox charm secures the end of the cord.

Bag:
Thin wires of copper and bronze have been woven together into an elaborate latticework to form the fine glittering mesh covering of this leather-lined bag. Hinged strips of the same metals have been joined to form the square flap, the pieces arranged in a complex alternating pattern. A series of leather loops and scabbards, some rhimar-throated, are attached along the sides with sturdy lengths of brass. Along the side of the bronze mesh bag are a series of narrow scabbards, several which are rhimar-throated, as well as a small number of loops.

... I need to take off either the armbands or the wristcuff, I know, though I haven't been able to decide which one to keep.

Also haven't been able to figure out a good eye or skin alteration for her. The skin is from one of those skin-changing flacons from EG and I've not bothered to change it.

Long shards of oily black glaes make up this set of eight hairsticks, each tapering to a sharp point to hold even the most intricate of hairstyles in place. When worn in a spiral, the overall effect is one of a fractured, glistening black halo around the wearer's head.

Glistening like a droplet of blood, the teardrop-shaped cabochon of bloodjewel is faceted and rose cut to capture and reflect the ambient light. A polished gold backing sends fiery sparks throughout the jewel which, when worn just under the eye, casts warm sanguine motes of light over one side of the wearer's face.

A latticework of onyx ink circles the upper thigh to resemble a floral lace band but is barely discernible against her skin were it not for the silvery sheen. Darker shades of purple-black ink emphasize the curved petal edges of the partially opened mournblooms and subtly concealed thorns within the design, the vicious barbs seeming to pierce the flesh to leave glistening beads of sanguine liquid.

Also haven't been able to figure out a good eye or skin alteration for her. The skin is from one of those skin-changing flacons from EG and I've not bothered to change it.I wouldn't! She looks super cute as is! As someone who always goes for traditional beauty it's really fun to see someone pull off untraditional.

She is in good shape.
She is wearing a cloud agate intaglio choker, a double-knotted girdle belt of silvered leather, a slate blue velvet cotehardie with slightly flaring over-the-hand sleeves, a platinum wedding ring, and a pair of argent silk chopines atop low glowbark platforms.

You see your choker. Mounted in silver and suspended on a creamy velvet ribbon is an ovate cloud agate intaglio. The inherent layers of grey, white and pale blue tones beneath the waxy luster of the stone are evocative of a shimmering mist around the carved profile of a beautiful female with a serene expression revealed in its silkier exploited layers. Engraved into the polished silver back is a short inscription which reads, "The Mother of Agates."

Rohese has the crisp scents of soap and freshly laundered cloth clinging to her skin.

The light-catching glint of the platinum threads that make up the warp of this waistcoat enhances the exaggerated bleaching of the silken threads that make up the woof. The wide buttons that run along the lapels feature intricately wrought screaming angels across their slightly less bright ivory. Atypical datura leaves and flowers are depicted in the matte grey tree of life pattern across the lower pockets. Each comparatively unadorned cuff, in turn, leaves a space for a word of embroidery.

Rohese has a faint scent hovering about her, ambiguous and electric -- foremost is the scent of ozone, evocative of a lightning strike, and beneath, subtle currents of rain-cleansed air, like a summer night in the wake of a roiling storm.

There's a reason I'll eventually send the Climatewear away for the armor concealer. I agree! I had to ruck the justacorps though.
