Guild master was not there to start the raid, came in late for like the last 3 attempts of like 15 for the night.

But between the Co-Gm, and another guild leader, we had already decided to do similar loot rules like we did in TOC25, if you have the emblems to buy a tier piece, you can roll on the drop, ie crusader orb, or the tier tokens from saurfang.

So at the end, GM changes it, and says only if you already bought one, and are wearing it etc... So like 4 fucking people get to roll, compared to like over half the run which could have bought a tier piece.

So fucking wrong. And yes I am complaining because I am one of the ones with like 120 fucking emblems but had not bought one yet, because it would have broke my set. Was waiting for 155, so I could get shoulders and chest at the same time.

Heh, can't pug them on my server. Even with pure guild run it took us awhile to get used to the fights like anything else that's new. We can usually 1 shot the first 4 now though. The 4th boss brutalized us until we figured it out though.

Now we are on Rotsomething, I think we've got it figured out but folks are still slow in getting away from the sprays and adds so they take huge damage. It's just timing and learning the fights though, I think we'll drop him this week (tonight in fact).

Moma not tanking is our fault.. not his. He stated a number of times he has only seen the fight a couple times and it was when it first came out on his paladin. They did it differently on his server (something about kiting him in a circle).

We can't just go into a raid and expect people, especially pugs, to know what they are doing. We need to explain the fights to everyone and make sure we are all on the same page.

Once we don't have to rely on pugs to fill our dps, we'll be better off.

I'm moving to a morning raid guild. I work 3rd shift, so I'm sick of not being able to raid each week. It should go fairly well, a couple of the guys that work for me are in the guild. They're planning on pushing hardmodes once they're unlocked (25 man). So far they've cleared all of icc25 that's out.

I'll bring my druid over to HOR tho, for when I'm playing at night.

"Looking at the stats most of the dps is peaked about 7k dps up to 11k for a majority of the fight but its those small lulls in rotation or in the case of Drowned being burst damage that screws the average... so it makes you look lower."

I look at the graphs, I see an average of around 6k, with a few crits during bloodlusts that brought it to 10k for a couple people for a few seconds.

That's why you look at the average you dope. You need 6k sustained dps, not a couple points where a couple people get higher. Fuck. Every class has a ramp up time, has lucky and unlucky streaks. That's why you look at the average! I had a shield of righteousness crit for 11k. I R DOING 11k DPS!!!11 /facepalm

This was part of his comeback to me for saying we needed the 5 dps'ers to average 6.3k dps to kill Festergut. 9.5 million health/300 seconds/5 people 6,333 dps. Yes, the number goes lower when you include tanks and bloodlusts but it wasn't my point.

I did, along with two others. They finally said I could go ahead and go buy a piece and then roll - after they already gave it to someone else. Like I am gonna be a bitch and try and take it from someone who already won it. Whether it was fair in my mind or not.

Anyhow, my whole point was the loot rules should be known up front. Hitching everyone with a surprise like that change in the way loot is awarded is just wrong.

And I doubt they went anywhere else to complain. Too many people are just used to doing whatever the fuck they are told, just to have a chance to raid and get loot.

We are "active" as in we are on nightly. Most of us left our guilds because they either fell apart, stopped raiding, or had asshats in charge. We're back in the hounds and will probably start focusing on 10man shit once we get a few more good bodies.

It's actually a nice change of pace and it feels good to be back with people I enjoy raiding with.

I might give Dunemaul another shot if HoR reforms and plans on staying like that. Eredar has always been a boring server. Only problem is I have a bunch of 80s on Eredar and would probably never actually be able to decide which one to transfer.

Pretty close. Shield, bracers, and boots were in one instance. Mace was the chain quest which was why were doing the instances, shoulders were badge purchase, and gloves were from the other instance.

Morning raiding is strange. The guild I just joined has downed all of ICC in two different 10's and apparently had a 2% wipe on their last attempt last week. Should be interesting.

Saurfang I like because for about 70% the fight I DPS, and the last 30 I heal. The only thing I don't like about him is if essentially one person fucks up and lets a blood beast wail on them we wipe.

So last night I had fun. I hadn't ever done 10man ICC and I hadn't seen past the 2nd boss in 25man.

Hounds went in killed first two bosses, did the gunship event, had a fun attempt on saurfang then went to onyxia and called it a night.

We had a few guys that had no business even stepping foot in ICC gear wise. Still had some greens, pvp gear, etc. But we still did very well and I had a blast.

I honestly think we could have done the last boss with maybe one more ranged dps and a touch better gear on those guys. We got the concept and it was fun to see the fight and do a run thru on it.

Might go do Ulduar 10man tonight, bang out the raid achievement weekly as well as gear up and continue to get comfortable raiding with one another (you know things like expecting Falgrin to not stand with the group and roll in fire) so we can plan accordingly.

Had a few more join the guild last night as well as BA slowly implodes so we're going to have solid raiders and who knows we might get back into 25man faster than we think, if that's something we want to pursue, we could also get two good 10mans and do work that way.

I just want to say that I hate 25 mans (I love the loot though), and I don't know we did 40 mans back in the day. People just don't listen or pay attention. The boss after Saurfang that has the gas fill up the room is much more difficult in 25 man than 10, because of how hard the boss hits, and people not paying attention. This is our 3nd week of doing 25 mans again, and got to Saurfang with only two wipes. Lag on Marrowgar (Tuesday FTL) and a wipe on Deathwhisper cause people don't watch for ghosts.

Shadowfury on Saurfang makes the fight much easier, first lock goes, then 3 seconds latter the second.

Actually Saurfang had literally 2/100 runic when E glyph mauled those beasts. Thats very very good. I think if you take that glyph off E and put that rogue in even heroics pve gear we could down it no problem with a few trys.

Unfortunately after that were stuck till we wildly improve gear on the deeps :(.

We got Festergut down with 3 healers, dps averaging between 5 and 6k. You don't have to be OMG amazing to do it, but questing gear and a couple blues isn't going to cut it. Rotface is much less of a dps race, so you can be a little lower and still take him out as long as you pay attention to what's going on.

On Saurfang, it's all about the ranged. Anything else can be dealt with, but if those beasts don't go down fast you're screwed.

Most of us are geared well. We had a rogue in full deadly with green trinkets and a titansteel shanker and a shammy who dinged 80 yesterday, aside from that everyone had business to be there imo. Its just if your gonna go into the next wing you need everyone to be in at least decent epics. We only wiped three times, once on Marrowgar because of server lag, once on deathwhisper because we were using an overly complicated strategy and once on deathbringer because we knew we would. We definately were not banging our heads against a wall. By the end of the run the warlock literally was doing 1k more dps than he was at the beginning from the gear upgrades :)

Our next jaunt into ICC should be good to go given we've already started upgrading the guys that were undergeared.

Holy shit man. Today we put together a run of ToGC10. 1 shot everything to Anub, no deaths, nothing. 50 attempts remaining, and first attempt we died at 3%. THREE FUCKING PERCENT.

I resto druid healed it for 6k, and a POS disc priest was doing 1600. 1600! 1600 :(

13 attempts later, we kicked that priest, and with the same group, + a diff priest, downed him in 4.5 minutes. Got Tribute to Skill instead of Tribute to Insanity, which makes me want to change to horde and gank him forever. Except I play on PvE server so that'd be pointless.

ICC10 plaque quarter continuation starts tomorrow. Guess what priest isn't gonna be there.

I've only played Tayvin the past year since I started playing, and exclusively heals for probably the past 3 months. I wouldn't say druids are OP regards healing, anymore than locks/hunters are at dps.

It's all about roles - yeah I can and usually do dominate the heals received, and only ones that will beat me are pali's, and ONLY if the two or three tanks are taking excessive damage. Thing is resto druids are MADE for raid heals, which is why I usually top the bar. I've occasionally healed only tanks, or massive heals like OS10 3 drakes up. I can put 8k, 9k throughput up easy in that instance, and I'd bet any other class could also (save disc priests). Everything is about how much damage your raid takes and rotations, anticipation and luck.

I laugh when people say oh but you overhealed for 50% or something. I personally believe there is no such thing as overhealing, unless you actually run out of mana. Find me a tank that says I've ever healed him too much.

Anyway, way to deep for a game, I've got a priest just dinged 80 about 2 weeks ago I'm gearing, and a shaman at 71. When/if I gear them equally to Tay, I'll let you know, but I suspect they all have their OP-ness, respective to the role they play.

I agree. And as a druid's heals are mostly about HOTs, if a priest, shaman or pally puts a direct heal over the top, that equals overheal for you.

Druids in no way should be the only healers in a group... We are there to mitigate damage so the other healers can top the raid up.. We can be main healers with nourish and what not, but it's hard on our mana and we are better raid healers. It's like in Arenas how Afflic locks make it hard for healers to keep on top of things.

1) You're killing shit for easy XP
2) You get your blood shards for your quest turn in as well as barren's buffs from the dude in the cage in Camp T
3) They drop wool. Wool is like the spice of Dune, after you get your FA past wool sell it for profits.

HAHAHAHA no, just no. Based on some of your threads, questions, and comments as they relate to WoW I can assure you that Nieninque can play absolute circles around you. But who knows maybe you can buy a toon with HWL... and before anyone says all you needed for HWL was time I'll say false because I ran with her helmet teams and they stomped mud holes into people, freaking squad teams of pain and ass whooping. She doesn't play that much anymore so I'm guessing her raid time is very little but regardless of gear I'd drop a huge chunk of gold on a bet that she'd bend you over and feed you your own penis in any form of PvE or PvP encounter or related metric.

I just havent been able to invest the time in raiding since AQ, to be honest. Starting raids at 2am just isnt worth it for me in the main as the impact on RL is too much. Wouldn't mind dipping into a raid group now and again, but don't have the time to do the regular thing.

I do miss that whole organised PvP thing though...have jumped in a few organised groups lately and they aint a patch on how things were. I miss those days and the people who ran with us.

Yeah the AVs that were picked clean because of coordination, the ABs that were 5 cap after 5 cap because we could jus divide and conquer. Literally walking the flag coast to coast in WSG because running was too easy. DPS that took care of us healers...so awesome. I see a few of the PvPers from those days now and again.

I havent played Auwyn properly in ages. I have levelled up a paladin and another druid since I last played her properly.

As HBC has alluded to/spelled out, depending on your comprehension skills...I levelled the first rank 14 troll hunter on Dunemaul. I was in the raid for the first Horde twin emps kill in AQ, cleared everything in the game up to that point. I have never played a character I didnt level up from level 1. I have made at least four capped druids, a capped rogue, hunter, shaman and paladin, which various include achievements along the way that you could only dream of reaching (and I dont mean the stupid tickbox achievements that exist now).

I have simply never been that interested in having the best gear. Gear is a means to an end for me. PvP is the game and, to be honest, Blizz killed that before you even considered buying something other than GS characters. WoW is currently a distraction. My days of hours of game-time were about four years ago.

My battlegroup recently started up cross-realm premades. They just get people on the different servers spamming in trade, then they give the vent info and when we got enough people they all queue up at the same time, make sure the same BG pops for everyone, then either drop queue and try again if one misses, or all enter and start pwning.

It's pretty nifty.

Yeah gearing up is hard. I dinged 80 on Sunday and put on t9 shoulders and got t9 gloves later that night. Did some heroics last night and I will have t9 chest tonight...man it's rough. Crafted ilvl 245 bracers, new shield I'm so pro.
