They're calm and professional and laid back yet also competitive, which is good enough for me.

I've called him out numerous times, we've had numerous officer meetings about how huge a douche he is, and he just doesn't listen. He asked me the other day if I would find the term "sand nigger" offensive, and whether or not he could use it around me.

Nothing I can do or say can make an immature kid mature, and believe me, they're not gonna kick him from the raid group, so I'd rather just disappear.

As for this other group, this was a friend of mine from school who I didn't find out played WoW til well after we graduated (seeing as that was 2003), and I do want to raid with him. Grats on the Rag kill. It says a lot that you raided with them once and got your title, after wiping for how long with GiG?

We were only on H-Rag for 3 weeks, and to be fair, this guild put in 230 wipes before they killed it for the first time, about 3 weeks ago. But like all good guilds (and this applies for TGiG too), once you kill it once, it becomes easily reproducable. I just sort of plugged in to their raid to replace their departing hunter, and rolled my face across the keyboard. Anyways, TGiG, if they don't fall to pieces, will be server first for H-Rag. But I heard they fell to pieces today, so who knows.

Oh, and I did 29k DPS on H-Baleroc and was last on DPS. These guys bring the pain. The GM is a frost DK who consistently does like 33k.

Being carried is when you are able to achieve beyond your skill level because others with greater skill are playing with you. It's like a 1400 rated arena player that doesn't even use focus macros getting 2200 by 3v3ing with two gladiators.

It sounds, from all accounts, like TheE walked into the fight and did his job. Had he killed Rag with the guild, but died 10 seconds into the fight or done 12k DPS, etc, then he would be carried.

It might be more appropriate, given TheE's immediate success and lack of errors, that he was carrying his prior guild that couldn't get H-Rag down.

Did LFR last night for the first time, that's painful. Queued as both dps and tank, got dps roll, the tank had 170k buffed hp. We had some very solid dps (27k+), some complete turds (4k dps warrior....) and not really anything in between. Same with the healers....one disc priest was at 34k hps and the others were sub 15k. Still managed first 4 bosses.

Please, never said anything about pro. But I am obviously topping charts, I even topped 4 other holy paladins in one run. And have topped better geared shamans/hpriest/druids.

I initially commented on it, to talk about the holy radiance change, but yeah lately, I top most every meter. Only recent one I lost was on ultraxion when a holy priest topped me. I lost the mad dash to the red buff cause of my horrid lag, and he kicked my ass using that buff.

And when I dps, and get beat, I look at the other guys gear, and they are almost always rocking 391 gear from last tier, or the new four piece and several 397, or the 390/397 weapons. My weapons are still 359, excepting the mage that got a 390, and the DK who has two 378 one handers, one of which is the tanking mace... But they still beat the 359 mace from magmaw. Having parry on a weapon is better than sacrificing strength for AGI. And I can reforge the parry.

My spriest is the only dps I have with over like 370 itm lvl. And that is a basically new toon, which I have almost no experience on, still get decent numbers.

Only thing I am even doing wrong atm is not killing adds on madness. With my lag, by the time I know the shits there, its dead. Its literally like under 8 seconds for the others to down it.

Was looking at the recount, mage was 40m dmg 51k dps, 2nd place was another DK with 38.6m dmg ,48.9k dps, then me with 37.6m dmg, 49k dps.

The other DK got over 5 million more dmg done via Spellweave. If I had been able to take advantage of that spellweave and just AOE in general I would have topped the mage easily.

And yes, before you come in with lol@50k, I realize it isn't normally awesome dps for that fight, but its not horrible, especially for my gear, and for that particular fight, I was the 3rd place. So obviously other people can suck more than me. :)

OK, so I know you don't give a shit, but how about posting up some logs of each fight, with you at number one on every meter? Unless the experience would mortify you or something.

The logs I have access to are our guild logs, where I'm last because our other dps include a legendary-wielding mage, a legendary-wielding spriest, a legendary-wielding warlock, a frost DK who has two 410 weapons already, and a combat rogue with his first stage 397 legendary weapons.

24th as marks hunter not bad, only 120 other hunters beat you, along with who knows how many of the other classes/specs. :)

Also, did you just try and insult being the 24th ranked person in your spec on a fight in the world by saying other specs/classes beat me? Really? Do you not understand that comparing even a survival hunter to a MM hunter is pointless, let alone comparing a fire mage and a MM hunter? Here's a hint, the world first H-Ultraxion kill involved 2 hunters, neither of which were MM.

If you knew anything, you'd know hunters are doing the worst DPS of the "pure dps" classes (hunter/lock/mage/rogue), and most hybrid specs are beating them now too. All three specs in the pure classes are beating MM (the theoretical best hunter spec, though survival is parsing higher with 2pc bonus+) with the exception of frost mages, even subtlety. Only warriors are consistently worse, and our only warrior is prot. Ret parses higher, boomkin/spriest parses higher, enhance parses higher, ele is about even, and feral + all the warrior dps specs are the only ones lower - but our feral was on his honeymoon and our only warrior is prot. Worse yet, the theoretically best MM hunter dps spec involves standing completely still, and hardcasting aimed shots, an unrealistic expectation found in very few of the theoretical best parses.

I was planning on joining in a timeframe of "in less than a few months," when people can give me 1337 gear and protect me from gankers while I level.

G1 dropped Heroic Zon'ozz last night.

G2 dropped gunship and spine. First week in as far back as I can recall that we had everyone in G2 there for Tues and Thurs. Next week my goal is to drop 7 bosses on Tues and leave Thurs for a Madness kill.


In true HoR fashion our spine kill was after I said "Alright guys last attempt for the night then I'm going to bed". It only took us about 4 attempts, 2 of which involved not realizing you kill more than one corruption at a time because we don't bother with shit like watching videos :)

I was reading something about that on MMO. The rogue also has that trinket that's doing disgusting amounts of burst. General consensus is that the trinket is what killed the guy in 2 seconds, not the daggers.

We've had 3 drop in however long DS has been out. It definitely has a higher drop rate than the firebird off Rag, probably because there's a different mount that drops off H-Madness and normal Madness is the only possible way to get this mount.

Obviously I can't speak for individual guilds or anything like that, but my general experience after an expansion has been announced is that a LOT of people stop caring/showing up for raids. This pretty much causes months of constant recruiting and sometimes bringing in alts, people in your guild you'd normally not bring to raids, or even pulling people from outside the guild to fill spots. When the expansion is released, everything is basically reset anyway, so I'd suggest just playing what you have fun with.

Cap is 85 currently. The bright side to that is leveling is pretty damn fast these days.

I do like SW better than Org, though. Both the Exodar and Silvermoon City hurt my eyes and I hate them.

And Wayne, I don't think the axe drops in LFR - only the thrown weapon, and weapons off Madness drop. Never seen Lightning Rod off Hagara, the 2 hander off Blackhorn, the one hander off Morchok or the healing wep, the xbow off Zon or the polearm off Yorsh. Pretty sure they don't drop. Unless you're talking about the agi axe off Madness, in which case you're the worst DK ever.

PvP would be a lot more fun if there were actual explosion animation when you "blow someone up". Just an expanding red cloud where the other guy used to be, with an occasional limb flying out of it. Oh well.
