Notes from last night's raid:

The DK was more difficult to keep up than Maz.

I saw Maz actually use a cooldown when his lifebar was very low.

The shaman died more times than anyone we've ever brought. 3 times to Deathwhisper alone.

When using the rocket pack on the Ship, DO NOT use it to gain higher ground on the spike between the cannons after the boat starts moving and right after Dora says "I don't think Dachcow is in a good mood right now"

Me and Wayne did some hard modes over the weekend in a pug on Anticor and Pjaay. I think you need to know the pugs and know they are good though. I say it all the time but really gear score means jack shit this late in the game. Some of the worst players I have seen have gear scores between 5700-6000 from badge gear and pvp shit.

We did it because Dachcow is going on vacation for 2 weeks and he really wanted it. I said it was going to be a complete failure.. and unfortunately, was I right.

And geared druid tanks are easier to keep up than warriors who don't use their "oh shit" cooldowns and some DKs.

So I finally gquit. Was with them 5 Weeks was still an initiate, no promotion, and recieved only OS gear and Gear no one else wanted. Was top dps on 8/12 of the fights, and died rarely.

Cleared 10/12 HM's With them.

The last straw was last night when I had a 264 (Murdin Spyglass from 10 Man Heroic not with guild) and a 213 Illusion Dragon thingymabob.
Heroic DFO Drops and they give it to a guy who has reg DFO and Sindy Trinket.

I was in HoP and it was nice because I knew I was one of the best in there. My brother is also in there who would have left with me last night if they weren't giving him Shadowmourn. We raided 2 nights a week and progressed 10/12 HM 25 ICC which says a lot for this server.

Yah we only had 1 Druid healer who is an officer so is geared out the yazoo so I got anything he didn't want because we only have 2 druids. Tank loots went to me because our 3 tanks are super geared and it went to rolls which I own at.

Just sucks cause they never asked me to do anything besides boomkin. I'm kinda glad I can server transfer or something now. Maybe go back to dunemaul and kick it.

They have the numbers, as in dps, geared tanks good healers but alot of their members just dont have much experience.....I think it would be a step backward for you but Im sure if you whispered an officer theyd make you fill out the application and then ginvite you immediately. For instance, they easily get through phases on death whisper but the second the ghosts spawn its like 10 people die in seconds...not even joking. Within a minute its a wipe. Just really bad raid awareness people in really good gear getting carried by about 10 hardcore raiders with both is how I would sum it up. They get better at fights through attempts but its one of those guilds where people are not punished for doing dumb shit.

Its also a weekend night raiding guild. Which is pretty important to know when actually considering joining btw.

a) AH at 20? what...? perhaps you can find the thread

b) Again, it was basically the same thing as BOA gear, something I could pass along to all my low levels and not waste time with greens etc. Those enchanted beginner items, would carry a character to level 40 or so easily. Saving time, saving gold AND making gold all at the same time. I still cannot fathom how you can see this as stupid.

OK, so I had not gotten a chance to do this until recently this last month or so. I cleared it once in a PUG, and didn't think too much about it. Now though, I joined a new guild on a whim thinking I would get to down 25m content on a frequent basis, as my other was still small enough to only do 10m junk, and wouldn't pug extras for 25m.
Anyways, this new guild seems to have trouble getting past Anub. I am almost positive it is our DPS as much as our lack of coordination, but everyone else said DPS was fine...
What kind of raid wide DPS are you guys doing in 25m ToC? I tried looking at some of my screenshots to see the whole DPS, but it wasn't showing. Best I can recall, we were doing approx 58k dps. That's only like 3600 DPS averaged out... Isn't that a bit low?
Do you use two tanks or three? We did three for weeks, and then tonight tried two tanks, and it worked out better somehow, but still didn't get Anub down.
None of the guides or forums really mention the DPS, more then likely cause it does not matter. Or so everyone tells me.
But you gotta beat the enrage timer right? Which means DPS means something... And I keep getting griped out along with a couple other people cause we talk about our DPS or link the recount etc... and raid leader is like, fuck that shit!@ DPS doesn't matter unless the boss is down! Wtf... I mean really.
OH, and do you guys(your raid tanks) use nature resist on helm/cloak? Tankspot I think it was recommended it for OTs especially. And when I asked if they would try it, everyone shot it down and said it doesn't make enough of a difference to count. I don't think I have seen anyone use it in a raid I was in.
Anyhow, surprise surprise, I gquit tonight cause they are all insane. WAY too much asskissing for the raid leader, they had like 2-3 people who would spam guild chat, or raid chat. Had some of the officers that would repeatedly gkick some r-tard, cause he was spamming, then reinvite him a second later, sometimes like 5 + times in a row causing more spam. Raid leader never stopped cussing people out, even if it wasn't their fault, and then would cuss you out if anyone hinted that HE had done something wrong. I mean raid leader doesn't do stuff wrong right? That is impossible. He went on for like 20-30 seconds cussing out the raid cause someone blamed him for not holding aggro... It was crazy. He obviously blamed it on the hunters for not misdirecting or something. And then blamed it on people DPSing too quick etc. Needless to say I got tired of his attitude of "I'll fucking throw your sorry ass dead bodies at Anub all night if I have to, we are taking him down1!, fuck your repair bills! Dont talk to ME about repair bills, I pay 92gajillion G for MYYY repair bills. EVERY FUCKING NIGHT, UPHILL to the repair man!!! Oh, and he would rip us a new one, when one person asked for a flask during raid or said they forgot one, or didn't have the G etc.. Then he asks another pally for symbol of kings cause he ran out. Same raid. I'm going to keep ranting because it is fun, and I am sure you guys need something to read at work. SO. Reallylongparagraph time. Tonight, while we were failing on Anub, after starting an hour late, raidleader fucks with us about our DPS being under par, he knows we can do better etc etc.. Saying we should have Anub down by now, we tried it for 3-4 weeks! What is holding us back, you stupid fucking DPS are! Ima fucking swap servers, my friend offered to pay the transfer, i dont gotta stay with you losers, but I like you guys, so I am staying! He quits the whole raid and leaves, right after I just used my second flask, like 5 minutes in. Waste... I was mad. Yesterday, or the day before I logged on for what was supposed to have been another Anub attempt, but found out it was an Ulduar 25 run which I had been asking for since I joined. Raid leader wasn't doing it cause he don't like Ulduar. But alas here we are, and I join up cause i am stupid that way. We wind up taking 3x as long as we should have to take down leviathan cause he is not leading. Just saying, he doesn't recall shit, someone else do something etc etc. We wipe the first attempt cause they tried hard mode first thing with two towers up, without really recalling wtf is going on. Then we just swap to easy mode alla sudden and take him down really quick. Then he wins a roll on a tank weapon, and then gives it to some random pug guy. When several others in guild could have used it. Myself included. yeah I was pissed. He winds up skipping the fire dude, and the dragon, we goto the walking kiddie robot, take him down, the only piece that drops that i can use/roll on, is an enchanting recipe. Blade ward. It was the last piece, and we get to it, he gives it to some girl in the guild, and moves on. I am like WTF bitch! We didn't roll. Why aren't we rolling? He says well we have a couple pugs, but I wanna make sure it goes to guild, we have been looking for it for a while now. I'm in the guild aren't I? WTF! I ask a couple more times why he didn't say something before the run notifying us about that little loot thing he was going to pull, and someone says he DID say it. Only half of us weren't there to hear it. Then I check on the girl he gave it to. She has enchanting, but she can't even learn the damn thing cause it is not maxed yet. Then he says, don't worry BRO, we get plenty more, there are tons of bosses in Uld. I'm fuming, but go along to the dragon. We wipe like 4 times. I don't recall why. But it was stupid whatever it was. The dragon is easiest thing in there besides leviathan. Then we lose 2 pugs. And so raidleader says FUCK THEM, we can 23 man it. One of the pugs was our top DPS. Then everyone is like no.. get some more. Then He says naw we can do it. Then the top DPS from the guild leaves. Then a few more leave, and then i am fixing to. And someone starts the goddamned fight.1!! So not only do I have a bunch of stupid wipes, I get one totally stupid needless wipe from some dumb fuck who thought it was be funny to waste everyones gold. So we leave Uld, two bosses down. No loot for me, but a large repair bill. THEN tonight, at TOC 25. The top DPS from Ulduar, won't come cause his girlfriend is not coming. She (also happens to be the one raid leader gave enchant to, that cant use it) is not going because one guy from guild said she wasn't pulling her weight. So raid loses two people cause of some stupid personal drama between guildies. Who bails on a whole guild raid, cause of one person, when they are counting on you? Dumb fucks, that's who. People I don't need to be playing with. Anyways I am tired and its already 2LDR, so I going to bed.
By the way, there are no refunds if you actually wasted the time it took to read all that BS. Sorry.




AD On Naxx
Just tried it with my own guy for the first time, and I am sure you guys will be happy to know I personally was able to wipe the raid three times all by myself, between the two wings we did. We didn't complete the spider wing, got stuck on the last boss, where we wiped twice. Only one of those was my fault. First wipe our last man went down with the spider at like 50k health.
And quite frankly I believe I can gear up easier in 5 man ToC than I can in Naxx. Heroic 5man ToC was easier than the complicated shit Naxx involves.






Do you farm in World of Warcraft? And if so how do you do it?

You can be specific, or not so specific.
There are the obvious things like doing the dailies. Cooking, especially if done with multiple toons, can possibly bring several hundred gold a day for a half hours work, assuming you have stocked up on the meats and whatnot.
Which other dailies are some of the more profitable ones? Does anyone actually do the max 25 dailies every day?
As far as farming creatures, which ones do you prefer, and how do you go about doing it?
Obviously AOE farming is the fastest. Do you do it successfully as a mage or other caster?
ATM, I am using an 80 DK with a tank spec, basically using Blood boil to aggro mobs until I have a good sized group of 20-30, then use Hungering cold, then continue with blood boil and Howling Blast. Sometimes DnD.
What gathering skills do you tend to use more often and what kind of gains do you see from it?
I tend to go for skinning and mining since they are the easiest and quickest to level up. Herbs always got real boring, but does anyone swear by them cause they make a ton or something?
Someone told me a paladin tank build would be one of the better choices.






I was not twinking to play against others in pvp, but thanks anyways. I have not entered a BG yet.
I was 'twinking' lvl zero and other white items to reuse for all my characters as I level. I had several sets of gear ready to go, or close to it. Cloth set, leather set, mail set. With several weapons for each profession.
I got pissed and left before checking everything, but did they fuck up all the enchants too? Crusader and fiery weapon and whatnot?
I probably would have twinked in the Bgs later as well. But that is not the point. The point is they are purposely wasting tons of effort people went through to get items they liked. And beyond the fact that there are TONS of people that have tons of said items, that's their own fault for fucking it up.
I still don't like games that fuck you over with no sense of regret for doing it. No intent to refund the time/money.
And seriously how long has this game been out? I see things still getting fixed that shouldn't have had anything wrong with them in the first place.

I did but let my account lapse, like Parkbandit I was becoming very very bored. I might come back when the expansion is released but currently I have no modivation to do so.

Plus I started running into a problem with WoW and my new system, I went from 11ms to 21ms average latency on the previous system. Which did make me a bit spoiled I have to admit.

On the new system I never get under 300ms (With an average latenancy around 350ms) and spike often upwards of 4k latency. Which really makes tanking or healing damn hard. The odd thing is I don't have the same problem with Age of Conan or Lord of the Rings Online.

Even though those games servers are east coast to my west coast location they stay pretty static at 100ms to 110ms. The WoW battlegroup that Ravenholdt is a part of is within an hour of my location, which was a part of the nice low latency. :)

Anyhow I'd read quite a few threads with people having problems with latancy spikes and Win7 in WoW, no ones had an answer including Blizzard. So tied with the boredom it wasn't hard to just shut it down for now.

So far this week trade chat pugs have gone from few and far between to basically non-existant on Dunelol you can either do a serpents kiss 10 man or nothing basically...nothing to do most of the time. Only a little bit of raiding, I just couldn't seem to find a "low" drama guild. That also plays a role in my burn out. If I wanted to baby sit or deal with all that childish drama I'd have more kids.

I've read alot of threads on players having issues with Win7 64bit and 32bit, so I'm going to bet that your guildies indeed were having issues. My gear scores for the paladin were around 5.5k to 6k, I got bored and had basically collected complete sets of pvp holy, pvp Ret, pve holy, pvp ret, and tank gear, the tank gear was the lowest since really to get good tank gear you have to raid.

Now that I've refilled my patience abit, I might start tooling around again with various issues I was running into with Win7.

I was having issues with wow after the last content patch, and when they disabled the mod that allowed things to pop up on the screen to show where bossess dropped ooze and stuff like that, it has been a while and I don't remember the name of the mod. I was having issues with my screen losing everything but the background, and wow force closing with critical error saying I had no room.

I deleted the cache folder, which was recommended by the tech forums by a blue, and that didn't help. I updated all my mods and disabled the one that they disabled the features of and I didn't have any issues after that.

I have been looking at wowpopular.com (http://www.wowpopular.com/glyphs) to get ideas on which glyphs to craft.

My level 80 glyph usage is really limited to DKs and Mages atm, so I have no idea what glyphs the others use without looking up a ton of 'good' players. Then I have to look up not only every class, but every viable spec for each class...

So if anyone feels like being helpful, just a yes/no on whether that site is somewhat accurate would be nice.

In my experience the glyph market is the hardest to get into. You pretty much need to make re-listing glyphs your full time job cause there are always like 6 people under cutting at any given time. Nachos is right though if you want the best glyph for each class in pve check elitist jerks...you can check the top 10 on arena junkies to get the best pvp glyphs.

i have only made like 3 crafting sessions, and am running out again, but so far seems 1k is average even when most dont sell - if i can craft only the ones that sell, and stop relisting shit glyphs i can cut out a lot of time and effort, and hopefully make more profit

one problem is not getting the right recipes from the daily thing and the books - there is like ONE glyph i know i want from the books, the rest... i am not sure they are even worth going after

Basically just trying to hold on till Cata. I'll probably need to server transfer or something to get away from the burned bridges on this server. Hoping to slap them in the face and get my brother to gquit right after he gets shadowmourn.

That is basically what I am doing. But my addons are screwy sometimes.

And the northrend herbs are freaking whacked on this server. One day I will go in, and see 15g stacks for sale, which is what I tend to try and go for, though it doesn't occur often. Next day everything is 40g, with some morons putting things in at 500g for a few stacks. Next day, looks like everyone is at war, someone starts at 40 gold, then you have like 15 people all undercutting in a row going down to 24.99.99 etc... I don't see how the prices fluctuate so much. Nothing else I have dealt with does that. Cept for the glyphs now too...

Gems tend to go from like 120-140 for uncut... and don't go outside it much, unless you see someone just trying to dump something real cheap. You don't see 100g gems one day, and then everyone selling them at 265g the next.

I asked about the buying and selling because there are some expensive things I think I might want for a new capped character, and I will not be able to afford it in any kind of decent time frame, with the amount of gold I have to work with atm. At least not if I want to continue my other ventures in game at the same time. The amount of gold I would require would to my mind send large bright red flags to the GMs. Hence the question of how to not get caught.

And the '972 in 3 hours' is pretty low for most of the things I am doing. That was just the glyphs I was having trouble keeping at the selling point because apparently everyone and their dog was posting their glyphs at the same time. More often I spend 30 minutes a day at most on the AH, since I am not normally having to relist so often.

I wasn't bragging, I was making a statement. Over 300g an hour is in no way a 'bad' pull for making gold in the game. It isn't even the most I can make in an hour, were I to try and add all of it up. READING IS HARD, and we decided to clear everything so we could try hardmode till the last minute of raid instead of stopping at 2 o'clock clearing everything and than walking back for more attempts. Its pretty standard run of the mill raid planning.

Our guild has an organized GDKP every week. Half of us are guild and the other half is alts of the other top guilds on the server. Need to have 10k to join and we go 9/12 HM's.(Only 4 guilds on Horde side are pass that).

GDKP's are Boss on this server. In that run everyone left with 9.4k. DBW/DFO/Phylact all dropped and we do Heroic Saurfang/ BQL so we get 2 277 tokens.

Battleground weekends are great for leveling xp until you hit 70 :( Then you may as well just quest like hell.

Eh personally I think there are some dominant strats built in. Like Blacksmith, LM, farm/stables in AB is easier to hold than any other combination of nodes. 20 docks, 10, workshop, 10 defense will usually win isle of conquest. All out captain defense followed by a strong push will usually force a prolonged turtle/win in AV. In eye of the storm the entire team rushing the opponents nodes and grabbing the flag on the way will usually bash the other teams strategy away.

The problem with this is all the strategies rely on loading in with other people who arent macro hacking or in savage gear.

Its difficult, the first step is learning to read. After you have that down try reading the tooltip for divine plea. If you can get that far I think the rest is somewhat self explanatory.

FYI - Some stuff is up on the PTR, if you feel like messing around. There are no new zones/visuals/quests/races, but the stuff about your character will be there. New talents, abilities, spells, and such are available for testing.

Avenging Wrath
A 20% increase to healing but causes a 30sec blackout period with Bubble. This can be used while using Divine Plea to lessen the affects of 50% less healing, so instead you do 60% healing.

Also, just to clarify. I am not some idiot who does not know how to play the game. Some things are new to me, and I like to get various viewpoints. When I ask a question, like say about divine plea, it is to get feedback, and perhaps try out some strategy I have not seen/heard about before. It doesn't mean I don't know how to hit the fucking button, or that I use it every CD and want to know what my problem is. Me asking how you do something doesn't mean I want to imitate you or take every thing you say and make it my own. I'm just seeing what if any alternatives there are to what I am doing. And, I might, just maybe, find out I am doing something wrong.

Take one of the first questions I had here, about the best AOE spec for low level trash. You came in and said unholy, cause it is the highest AOE spec... for raids. I said that doesn't work for me, and you called me an idiot cause I wanted to use something else. You couldn't understand that the trash I was trying to kill efficiently, would have died before I could even put up two diseases and spread them. I would have wound up trying to kill everything with icy touch and sometimes get to plague strike. One thing at a time, and no AOE to it. Unholy was useless, you just couldn't understand it. Not my fault. I found my own spec/strategy, and was able to use it to actually AOE, and kill a large group of trash with one set of runes or less, and not have to rest afterwards for lack of health. It's called farming, and it doesn't really work the same way as raids... This trash doesn't have 100k health a piece. Or whatever.

As to my last question, I got my paladin to 80 3 days ago, I had my first raid last night, and all was peachy for the most part until blood queen, and I had run out of mana because I was having to spam holy light too much. None of the other fights up to that point were that mana intensive.

So I was wondering if any of you who actually play a holy paladin, use something like avenging wrath to mitigate the negative effects of divine plea, or if you don't bother using it that way. I have not done it, but saw it on EJ, and wanted to know how it worked for others if you had used it that way. I don't post on EJ, or I would have asked them. And if you use it ever, are there certain fights, or just when you deem it necessary. Obviously if we had gotten to valithra, that wouldn't be a good strat, I'd have to plea while inside the portal, and then wait for BL to stack my healing CDs.
