Actually pit bulls are the least likely dogs to bite someone, they are extremely aggressive towards other dogs though.

Usually, people throw up gang signs to proclaim territories or affiliations in the face of others who might have a different affiliation or be unaware that they are in enemy territory.

It's also used as a method of intimidation for rival gangs.

Lesson: Throwing signs on a GemStone message board is unlikely to intimidate other posters. Because, um, we're not from your hood, we don't care who you represent and the REAL OGs that I know (yes, I'm a white girl, but I know some of them) wouldn't have the first thing to do with this place to begin with.

Dude, i grew up on the South side of Chicago. I've been to Cabrini green several times and considering theres nothing but folks all through there i'm pretty sure not a whole lot would happen for those particular gang signs.

I also used to live in Altgeld gardens on 132nd and have family up and down Central Ave on the west side.

I still have not yet seen APC in concert. I almost got to go, but I ended up going to Simucon instead. Grr.

Simucon's a fun trip, but let me tell you, you don't need to buy a ticket. Just as much fun without it. I had a ticket and didn't go to any of the seminars or anything, as most of the people I was hanging out with did not have tickets. I'll be going this year. Hopefully to VegasCon, if not, then to SimuCon.

I just have a thing with people getting compliments on something they weren't born with, rare combinations that is. And I was born with just that ... but I said I was sorry if it sounded insulting. And really, I am. I still think its a good picture regardless of all that.

And you should be proud. That isn't the problem. The problem is you felt the need to basically call someone's beauty fake. And while that may be true (I can't tell), it still doesn't need to be said.

That's like if someone had their name legally changed from Elmo to Michael... and you knew them when you were kids... then 30 years later, you bust in on them at home and yell, "HEY ELMO! WASSAP!?" Their family doesn't know them as Elmo, and that's the way they wanted it obviously or they'd go by Elmo still.

I didn't call you a racist, I just asked is all. Don't worry, I'm not offended. It's just that I was born with rare gifts too. My IQ, the fact that my dad was mostly black and my mom was mostly white, the fact that I'm hella cute... and my natural dexterity and aim... my eyes are a weird color of brown, nearly red. Sometimes they appear crimson.

I have lots of rare and natural gifts and I'm proud of them... but I don't run around pointing out that guys with tans are actually white... or that people who train hard to master archery or marksmenship weren't born with good aim like me. I don't belittle or pick apart those who bust their asses to perfect martial arts maneuvers it takes me very little time to execute properly. Some people don't have my gifts. That isn't their fault.

Your hair and eyes are pretty, but so are hers. Yours are real and her's are supposedly fake. Why does that matter? You coulda just said...

"I was born with blue eyes and I'm a natural red-head and very proud of that rare and beautiful combination."

I love Atheana, I do, we're good friends. But I do have to admit that like... ok, it does take guts (no matter how pretty you are or think you are) to put your picture on a place like this for everyone to see and judge you. And for then someone to say "Oh well that's not real and that's not real" it kind of makes you feel bad. I don't think you said it to be mean but its not really that much of a big deal.
It's all just genes after all and rare chances that this gene was the dominant one of the bunch and you just happened to get it. If you don't like what your genes gave you, you have every right to change it and be proud of how it looks on you. I think some people, even if they're born with say brown hair, it doesn't look good on them. It's all about finding what suits you.

That's because I had a hard time when I first got here. This board has always been full of people who don't like me/don't get me.
