Just asked him, and he said that the Army does it that way, enlistment and basic first, then immediate entrance to OCS, and that they teach different things. The contract includes a voluntary separation clause if they change their minds about admitting him to OCS.

I guess it makes sense if he has 0 ROTC training. I know I asked about enlisting a couple years ago and they said with my prior service I wouldn't have to go through Army BTC but I guess they changed that recently and it is required for all prior services unless you had some spec ops type job.

I've seen her circling, hunting several times but this is the closest I've gotten. I have about 15 minutes of video watching her feed and then she hops up on my fence and cleans her beak, shot from about 10 feet away. I kept wishing the whole time that I had a decent camera.
