Nah. I had 50 community service hours but finished those along time ago. Worked at soup kitchen and that food pantry where I hurt my shoulder all the way back when.

Few friends and I went to the Rams-Colts game Sunday. We got there fairly early and ended up really close to the stadium, which was basically Colts Central, right next to where the Blue Crew had set up. Its two layers actually. I should have fused them together to make it easier to sew but I didn't. Learning as I go! Its canvas on the inside, like what paintings are usually gesso'ed over. Its super heavy duty and its sewn with ribbon on the inside to accommodate the 1/16 x 1/4 brass flatbar I used for the boning. Over that is champagne colored satin. Those black stripes are the same ribbon used on the inside (for the boning). I originally wanted black and white striped fabric but 4 days before Halloween and that shit is sold the fuck OUT. So I had to modify.

The lion costume is actually a really pretty tawny color. And its even that faux suede kinda stuff so its super, super super soft and velvety. The flash on the camera totally blows it out though, making it look white.

I was wondering whether you have buffers in between the flatbar edge and the ribbon seam on the bottom and top of the corset. If not beware: I bought a home-made satin corset once and it only survived one renaissance festival outing. I'm pretty active and move around alot in those things despite the pain of them. Eventually the extremely realistic boning broke through the seams at one end. It was a mess that involved some moleskin, neosporin and a crappy sportsbra replacement until the end of the day. Yup. Thats my bad corset story.

I went with my roommate to the mall so she could get her hair done. We went to the food court after her 2 hour session. ( my zero fade took about 6 minutes today)

Thanks. At this point, my workout consists of 3 capoeira classes and either 1 or 2 open gym sessions (where most of that footage was taken) per week. Of the 3 capoeira classes, I teach 2, and we do two hours of cardio, strength and flexibility training. Lots of stretches, kicks, handstands, cartwheels, pushups, ab and back excercises, etc. Then the open gym sessions are more like playtime. :) I stretch out and warm up for 10 minutes or so, then just start jumping around, working on whatever I want.

A good capoeira workout is pretty intense, even for people in good shape. It works a lot of muscle groups that are generally ignored by most other exercises, so you can find yourself incredibly sore in ways you never knew were possible. A common warm up we do in class, for example, is to walk 50-60 ft across the studio on your hands, fall into a full bridge and walk back across the room like that, then walk back again in a handstand facing the other direction. Then we'll do some kicks or movement exercises to complete the warm up before starting the real class. It's hard, but lots of fun.

If you haven't, look into jujitsu as a complimentary skill. In my old gym we had someone who did jujitsu with us and capoeira at another gym. He said it helped him tremendously in muscle development/training and for his balance/weight movement aspect. He was a taller guy too, which you seem to be, so it might be more beneficial than for someone of smaller or average height.

Either way, good stuff.
