They change colors based on body temps and demeanor. Lighter colors usually mean they're at the temperature they want to be at and that they're relaxed. When he gets angsty his beard turns black. Hard to see with the crappy camera but he's a real light tan color with a few light brown splotches.

If you overlay the two images and then drop the opacity of the top layer you can see that the position of the lamp is constant as defined by the position of phone and size of the lamp's shadow. The only thing that has changed is her position in relation to the background.

Keep in mind about an hour after that pic he tanked that quad into the back of my grandma's car so it's gonna cost me about 1500 to get that fixed...and I promptly ordered full face shield helmets after that since he tried to snack on the tail light. He was down for a good 2 or 3 minutes while we got his bloody nose under control then boom right back on it and out doing big things. The boys figured out how to power slide and do 180s so jumps can't be far off.
