Yay, are those lights in the last picture from the trees in front of the Swamp?

I spent my 21st birthday on the patio there, drinking at 11 a.m. and making fun of all the suckers going to class.

Man, Gainesville was fun when I was there, but it must have been nuts this past year. I miss college :(

The last picture was downtown at Lillians. The middle picture was right behind Swamp where my apartment is. We're in the streets with a burning couch in the middle of the road. I think this was the 2nd basketball one (they all blend in, we almost felt obligated to rush the streets in celebration, but by then we were pros at it.)

I know, I just can't do it. I realize that I just can't go to casino's because this happens every single time that I don't get drug out of the place. Maybe if I didn't drink it'd be different but haven't tried that yet.

Well at least he didn't dig in past 200 bucks.

Rule of thumb on the riverboats. I'll take 500, the wife gets 250. She plays the slots, roulette, and all that crap. I stick with cards. Generally starting off with a blackjack table in view of the poker tables. Just so I can pick out a table that isn't decked with grinders.

If I'm up a ton, I call it a night.

Competition is a little more serious around here.

If you want to find value you have to hit the 7 card tables.. even there it's become serious business now that they've upped the limits.

It all depends on the time of day and day of the week. There are two boats in Peoria that have the poker tables in, well I guess you would call a pit against a wall. The blackjack tables are next to those, though the floor is about 3ft higher. You can generally get on one of three tables and have a clear view of the poker pit. From there it's just a matter of trying to pay attention to your hand and the floor at the same time. It's not hard to pick out the tables loaded with vultures grinding away at saps like me.

Once or twice a month the wife and I will make a day trip to Peoria and maybe once out of three trips I'll make it on to a poker table.

Skeeter
12-17-2007, 02:17 PM
I usually go on Friday or Saturday nights. Poker tables are like an atm here. I've yet to lose money, though the night I had a horrible run I only made $60 and left really annoyed.

sit back and fold till you have premium hands and then cash in. It's boring but it's business.

From experience I'll say it is VERY hard to be ejected from a baseball game for heckling. It's part of baseball.... unless you don't keep it clean.

I've literally have had at least 10 players attempt to climb fences to get to me and once had a "posse" of minor league twats follow me to my truck at which point I reminded them their bus was warmed up. hahah memories.

Agreed. When I was in D.C. helping my buddy move there we went to check out the Cards-Nats game. There aren't even any bars around the baseball stadium! Maybe its only because our stadium is named after the largest brewing company in the world, but going to a baseball game and drinking are inextricably linked in my mind.

When we asked the locals, they said that it'll be more fun next year at the new stadium. Thanks a lot, but I'm in town this year dudes.

somebody's about to get a new stalker.
Yeah you're screwed... search around for "an evening with backlash" if you're curious what you're in for.

She doesn't look fat to me, although she COULD be a pear.
Yeah how on earth did you (not you diethx), think she was fat? If anything I'd be more inclined to think she was underweight from that picture.

It's a fitted ball cap backwards. I have know idea why he wears it so high up like that. I've told him it looks retarded. I'm a firm believer in letting them look however they feel comfortable though, within reason.

Oh wow. Okayy let me at least define the whole "emo" deal. Emo is a state of mind - how you act, cutting the wrist, being depressed, not a style. Now Scene is the style of emo I guess. You can be scene without being emo, mmkay?

Thanks for defining emo for us. We had no idea what it meant.

you're not going to go cut your wrists for people calling you emo when you're scene right?

Also... I really get the urge to kick dudes in the face who wear girl jeans and spend 3 hours getting their hair just right.
