Christmas Party outfit.

Too bad I didn't think to pull the skirt of the dress down to get rid of those bulges on the side of the dress at my waist!

Oh, dig the lovely mosquito bite scar on my shin? Least the rest of me turned out okay.

...probably helps if my dumbass posts the picture.

Does anyone else ever notice that Ponz has to negatively critique everything I post on this website?

And to answer your question, you can thank the lovely crop job to my fiance, who hasn't the faintest idea what he's doing and he's lucky all he has to do is "press the button".

Yeah, I generally DO crop 80% of my photographs on here, because in all honesty, who the hell WANTS to see the background of my insanely dirty house? Complete with outdated furniture and dustbunnies larger than my two dogs?

The Ponzzz
12-05-2005, 12:55 PM
uh, that makes no sense.

Like anyone honestly would give a rats ass if yer house is dirty, dusty, gross, looked like a bomb was dropped on it and has old furniture. Shit half these people are under 23 and either live at home or in a dorm.

So yer fiance crops pics of you and googles a clean house and places you in it?

I don't think he meant that... He doesn't know what cropped means. He's talking about how it is shrunk so it looks a little choppy.

Genius hasn't figured out that you just have to click the picture.

Oh, and to why it is shrunken down, it's because she uploads the attachment instead of hosting it somewhere else and using image tags. The website shrinks them so larger pictures don't stretch out the forum layout for people with smaller resolutions.

Nope, i clicked it, nice try though. There are no shadows where shadows belong, skin outline is choppy, etc...

LOL, I did graphic design for my newspaper along with my marketing, so, yea I know what cropped is, and I even went the distance to put it in my paint program to show that the layers are there and it's not a solid pic from a camera. YOU WIN AT TEH INTERNET

Actually, looking at the picture, you're right.

I didn't assume anyone would take the time to crop out their entire body and place it into a different background.

Then again I didn't look at the picture that hard to begin with.

PS. Calm down, internet tough guy.

12-05-2005, 02:25 PM

Shalla
12-05-2005, 02:26 PM
I didn't notice it was cropped at first glance either. I thought what he mean't by cropped was that her feet were cut off. So I was like, big deal. It's a really nice picture! I guess for someone not as technical with photoshop, you wouldn't know at first glance. I didn't anyway.

The Ponzzz
12-05-2005, 02:28 PM
any person who can double click photoshop and go into that pic and show the layers that are there... A pic right off say a digital camera, does not have that... It's a good crop job, but not professional...

Shalla
12-05-2005, 02:36 PM
I don't see what's wrong with cropping it though. The background compliments the picture better than dust bunnies.

The Ponzzz
12-05-2005, 02:39 PM
Generally, cropping a pic means something is not real... Now, it just makes no sense why someone would make a new background pic of themself. Shit, I've lived on my own for ever, been married and divorced and now live back at my dad's and posted a pic with a yellow fucking toy register in the background with all sorts of shit. And I'm a clean and organized person!

I was just asking why, and a few people called me on it, so hence me going where I did. Other than the P Diddy pic and me. Cuz that was just funny...

1) Shari, that picture of you on the previous page is beautiful.

2) You can tell that whatever was behind her right side was cropped out. BFD. She didn't put herself somewhere else, just took out the unnecessary garbage.

3) In Shari's defense, people here can be real dicks about things if they want to nitpick. So rather than dealing with comments of "OMG clean your room! Your house is gross! Pick up your stuff!", she cropped it out. Hell, one of the reasons I don't post any pictures is because my home is a wreck too. It's just not something I would want displayed for the world to see. She gave people what they wanted.. a pic of her. That was plenty. Leave her alone about it.

Hey, I have this photograph that came off my digital camera clear back in 2002 (or maybe it was 2003) that people always claim I photoshopped. Can you run your chemical tests (heh) on my picture and prove I did not alter it in anyway?!

Heh, but there really WERE some problems associated with the names! For instance, when it was changed to 'Time's Scar', we noted that you can't have an apostrophe. I couldn't post, I couldn't U2U people, I couldn't do anything (probably better off this way, I imagine some of you are thinking)! I was forced to change it again.

Damnit, HarmNone. You and I need to talk. :P

Now could the conversation return to pictures please, not Tabor's fickleness about a message board name? Names mean nothing when the content is the same anyway.

I changed it because I would rather be known as my real name. Jesae was the character that I played in GS. And since I've already removed her from my acct and will likely never be seen again, I would rather be known as something more substantial than a character name.

You're probably right. I donated 13" a few months ago and read all their rules first. You're allowed to straighten curly hair to meet the length requirement, but once they receive the donated hair, they go through it strand by strand. If its at least 10", they donate it. If its not, its sold to cover their production costs. Might be worth sending in anyway if you've nothing better to do with it. Maybe they can sell it to help cover their costs.

I thought about that but I'm not sure if the 10" min. on hair length applies to dred's since it's not a continuous strand of hair that they can redistribute as they please. Anyway, I planned to call them tomorrow.

You're probably right. I donated 13" a few months ago and read all their rules first. It's kind of blurry, since I have no fucking idea of what I'm doing. Also, it's early in the morning, and taken in Africa.

I would agree but hell I eat cows and pigs and its much easier to dispense with them quickly and cleanly so I can give him TOO much shit.

Except that we don’t need to kill our own food anymore and yeah hunting down a timid doe with a shotgun doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment for even a below aaverage human being.

AND

haha, you know nothing of hunting.

But your opinion is noted. (and next time get the gun right...say it with me ----> R I F L E)

And about the bow thing that Anticor said, it's become around here, much easier to shoot a deer with a bow. Why? Because the city is allowing people that have 1 acre or more of land to hunt in their own backyard with bows. These are the same people that tend to bait the deer to their property.

Rifles you actually have to enter the woods to hunt.

can't argue that I don't know much about hunting.

I understand there are things called tree stands though, where you sit all day waiting to ambush any deer that happens to walk in your line of sight.

Damn Bratt you're right. sitting on your ass all day does take tons of skill.

Hulkein
12-12-2005, 10:44 PM
Skeeter, have you ever shot a rifle?

And what's the big deal if it doesn't take a ton of skill? What the fuck are your hobbies? Gemstone sure takes a ton of skill; just take a look at some of the players!

I cant stand to sit on my ass in the woods. I have to do some tracking or I get fidgety. And yes it takes a little more than pointing the shot and pulling the trigger to bring down a deer, kthnx.

But....pointless ego-boosting redneck hobby? I have no valid arguement to put forth against this. :D

Heh ... I've been on more of my fair share of hunts and I'm sorry to report ... tracking a wounded animal or spotting trails and discerning how fresh said trail is would be the extent of modern hunting skills.

Skills with a fire arm and patients are all that's really required in today's world.

I'm not knocking Alfster's successful hunt rather than knocking the claims of "alot more skill than you think." It doesn't take more skill than most people think.

Bow hunting in the wild takes more skill if there isn't snow on the ground simply because a deer can, and will run for miles.

I'm a suck ass fisherman largely because it never made sense to catch what I was allergic to .... but if I keep casting, I'll catch something eventually.

And ya ... that was a big doe. People knock getting a doe, but a doe is 100x more flighty than a buck ... and presents a more challenging target to shoot and track. Bucks are more bold and you can chase them by sound alone most times. They tend to crash through the timber rather than dart around.

And you show your inability to comprehend what you read.

Doe are flighty. Buck tend to be on the bold side. Both are nothing but finese, but when wounded and scared ... doe retain some composure ... a buck just gets the fuck out.

Read, comprehend, and maybe "hunt" more and claim it takes skills.

Ok let me be a little more SPECIFIC...

Cars
Snow
pics of new hairdo's
g'f pic
b/f pics
pictures of your kids drawing
pictures of you flipping someone off
pictures of the town you live in
your backyard

your christmas tree

etc etc.

Is that better CT?

This is the picture thread so ALL pictures are welcome, don't like it skip the picture.

Actually only John (aka GOD or whatever he posts as now) could properly interpret the intent of this thread so how about you know with such conviction what is supposed to be in this thread and what isn't is beyond me.

But anyway, my suggestion still stands that kids deserve their own thread. I mean we wouldn't want anyone crying and quitting the boards if someone insults their kid because they accidentally saw the picture in the Picture Post - Post it up thread now would we ;)

Your right no one truely knows that Gods requirement for the thread he posted on a PUBLIC board. So it is a picture thread and I will continue to post pictures in it whether it be my kids, my christmas tree or whatever I feel I wish too just like anyone else is permitted to do.

Such an exaggerater. I feel and believe personally that there should be a separate picture thread for personal pics, one for kids, and one for everything else.

Leaving all pictures in one thread makes it stupidly fucking long and not worth going back through to look at everything else. It's TOO much of a catch-all picture thread and I'd LIKE to see it broken down some.

I'm with Sergey on this one, there need to be a lot more nekkid/half-nekkid pictures.

He might not have said that specifically, but it's damn sure what he's thinking (always) and I agree with the guy one-hundred-per-fuckin'-cent.

Carry on,

I can agree with organizing, that is why the pet thread was started. Hell make it its own forum section for all I care. But really, why all the insults over a not that big a deal thing from all sides?

She had the right to post the pics (I am just as guilty of posting tons of my daughter)

he had the right to post an opinion about making a new thread.

People need to not be so sensitive like this, personal opinions are what make the boards fun, but we don't need to be asses.

That was seriously weak. I'd say about on par with a Chaddy comeback.

But regardless you weren't the 1st person to quit over comments about their kids and I'm sure you wont be the last. But hey if you want to be a cunt about where you ultimately end up posting your kid pics and so adamantly reject the notion of a kids picture thread more power to you.

Alaska is the most beautiful place I've ever set foot. I lived in Seward, AK (South tip of the Kenai penninsula) for about 7 months during 2001. I would love to move back..

These pictures are from AKBrian.net (http://www.akbrian.net) , a local Alaskan that takes pictures all around Alaska.. great site..
This is where I lived..

I do have more but I'll have to resize them and put them online somewhere. :)

We're still in the middle of winter here in Alaska but when summer hits I'm going out with some of my wingmen to do some outdoors-y stuff like camping in Chugach (Chugach is one of the only temperate rain forests in the world) and lots of other things. I'll probably get out to Denali and get some photographs from Mt. McKinley, the largest mountain in North America.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed all the Alaska pictures that were posted.

When I first got here on July 5th of 2004 I stepped off of the plane at 10:30PM into broad daylight and the air smelled like (I shit you not) flowers. I was just looking out at mountains and I thought "Oh. Wow. Three years here. Wow."
