Beauty is, thankfully, in the eye of the beholder. One man's (or woman's) definition of beauty may not be seen in the same way by another.

Not really, Ebondale. Features that are specific to given groups of people may not be considered attractive by some. That does not, necessarily, entail racism. It simply speaks to the preferences of that particular individual when it comes to what they consider beauty. It in no way denigrates the race as a whole.

I think the girl on the bottom right in Ebondale's second picture is pretty. The other ones, not very impressed, but I guess you can't be picky in Alaska.

People have different preferences. I don't generally find black girls appealing (a few notable exceptions), but at the same time I can still find them attractive.

The most attractive girls to me are Americanized Asian girls who have that exotic "flava" look. I'm half-tempted to post some pictures of some of my friends to see if Bob wouldn't change his mind.

Celebrated my kids birthdays togetrher last night, one is born in June the other in July. I decided that I would have a joint party for them at Planet Pizza then in July I will do another one at home BBQ style.

TheRoseLady
06-19-2005, 07:15 PM
Cute kids, but I don't get the "joint" birthday thing. Have a Planet whatever one year for one and a BBQ for the other and then have a BBQ the next year and a Planet thing for the other.

Neither of them gets the spotlight by themselves in this case.

Brattt8525
06-19-2005, 07:26 PM
Reasoning was that they both when asked told me they wanted Planet Pizza to be where I took them for their B-day. The bill just for the party last night was 171.00 not including cakes and gifts and extra pizzas for the adults.

Being that they are 4 and soon to be 6 no matter what I plan they both infringe on the others party for attention

The BBQ in July will consist of friends and family bringing food and letting the kids play in the inflatable bouncey house I bought them as a joint gift and the inflatable water slide while the parents watch.

Jolena
06-19-2005, 07:35 PM
Ditto on the joint party being a lot more financially sound. Having two kiddos that are born within a week of each other, I do joint parties for them a lot. They are now 4 and 6 and it's just sooo much easier financially to do this then to pay two huge bills twice within a 2 week period.

When they get to their 10's and up then i will be concerned about them having the sole spotlight at a party. Until then, you're right Bratt, they infringe on each other's spotlight no matter what

Edited to add that that is a great picture and your daughter is so gorgeous. You better watch those boys when she gets older Bratt!

Did anyone imply that they would be harmed permanently Skirm?

I got the financial part, that's why I suggested swapping year to year.

But...being a kid isn't all about "making financial sense" it's about feeling special.

We didn't share birthdays in our home, it's something I feel strongly about, but I know that Tara is a very good Mom and wouldn't be doing things that would negatively impact the kids to save a few bucks.

Jolena
06-19-2005, 07:44 PM
Well. Having three kids I can tell you it's hardly a few bucks that you save when they have birthdays that close together. Like she said it was 170 bucks for the one party alone. My kids haven't ever complained about their birthdays being shared though.

Yeah but when they are older I'll have to give them seperate ones. I have one for my oldest June 15th and then my middle child is July 15th and my youngest is July 21st. Plus my birthday is in August as well as my mother, my Aunt and my Uncle. One week right after the other lol

This is the first year I have combined their parties, I just thought since they both wanted to go why not incorporate them? Anyway Ryans B-day is actually on tuesday so he and I are spending the day together while his sister goes to my friends to have fun with her daughter.

As far as not giving kids parties after a certain age, well I will always want to plan one for them. Until they say mom lets not do the party thing anymore I will keep having them. TRL is right b-days are very important.

Some pics from my family reunion... first one is my nephew & I -- he's a little autistic and was fascinated with my glasses.

Second is with my cousin, the smallest of my half sisters 7 kids. He's 6'3" and 285 lbs, also a very cool guy.

Last is one of my other nephews, he was born premature (2 months and weighed 3 lbs) and turned 8 the day of this picture. Another awesome kid.

Curious what CT edited out...

I'm not saying you can't be anything.

Understand though, that a lot of people that can't hack socially turn to "fantasy".

Just look how many gothic/vampire/anime people have a strange obsession with Japan? I think you understand what I'm talking about. Maybe I'm wrong though...

These people filled my Japanese classes, and were not uncommon in Japan.

I can't look at you and judge your heritage.

I can, however, see that the few posts that you've made on the board have centered around you in your samurai getup with swords.

This reminds me of all the people I know who see Japan as a panacea of anime and vampire nurses.

So, if you do have a life outside of the dojo... fine.

But so far, we haven't seen it.

Your cultural heritage has nothing to do with it.

Edited for grammar

Yes, being Japanese I've dealt with fanpeople all my life.

What if I had been an obviously Asian person holding a gun and waving an American flag? You wouldn't have called him some derogatory name would you?

The fact that I don't look Japanese and am wearing bogu with a sword automatically makes me an otaku? Keep your insults to yourself. Don't say shit if you don't know all the information.

This is a picture thread, if you wanted to insult me, you could have just sent a U2U instead of trying to come off as some Japanese expert and be praised for your wit.

And with that I'm done. Flame me back all you want, doesn't change the fact that you're a haoli.

Pregame before a block party from a few months back. I don't think I drank that night, but that's a pretty bad shit eating grin. Yes, I'm the one holding my fingers over her head.

Maybe I WAS drunk...

Went in for a haircut and my normal barber wasn't there. Normally this is time to say thanks but no thanks but I was shaggy and I hate being shaggy. I didn't get a trim job I got freakin buzzed heh. Here you go:

Damn, your arms are freakin' huge. I haven't seen a guy with arms that big since my dad stopped lifting years back.

I've come to the complete and utter realization that Anticor could kick the living shit out of me at any given day and time. Luckily, my wardrobe will always make his be a bitch.

1. Eat paint.

2. I have way better pictures from that night (read: tight, light colored shirts + rain) that will never see the light of day on the internet.

Here are some weiner dog pictures.

You've got Reese who jumped up on the table and was eating what's left of the cheese potatos while the wife and I were outside saying goodbye to our guests.

Then it's Ghirardelli. She's a heavy sleeper and was passed the hell out in my car while we were driving up to Michigan.

And finally it's both dogs so you can see a size comparison. Reese is almost a year old and is about 7 pounds. Ghirardelli is almost 2 years old and she is about 13 pounds. Both are miniature dachshunds but Ghirardelli (Elli for short we only call her Ghirardelli if she's in trouble) is a monster. She's all muscle too, over powers Reese when they play and she has these huge bear claws it's awesome

Okay...I guess we get to take a stab at which one you are SP?

I'm betting on the really white guy right in the front center.

Think of all the awesome pictures you've seen on the internet. Isn't it time you give something back?

Actually, I think I do a good job of making fun of everyone. If the picture looked rediculous, I absolutely would have said something. Since when is otaku derrogatory?

Yes, being Japanese I've dealt with fanpeople all my life.

Then you understand where I'm coming from.

If it's a legitimate hobby, and you actually spend time outside of your training getup, then I don't really see why you would be upset.

I think you're taking what I said a little more personally than it needs to be taken.

Klaive. Enough said.

Where's Methais with his cartoon of that fat guy in the tight t-shirt claiming about some Japanese guy or another's brilliance...?

Why Arkans wardrobe will never win. He doesn't rate to have these:

That's right, you're my bitch now and always.

Edaarin, perhaps if you think it might be questionable content for this board, you can post it in the mod folder for clarification.

I think that will help us determine if it's acceptable.

Seconded. This is referring to the light colored shirts and rain comment by Edaarin I'm hoping if not I retract and will again vote that Wezas is a scary little man.
