I don't want a dead/rotten oppossum in my window well.

Kill and move it then! Now it will probably grow up and reproduce.

I have to agree with Tisket here. Well...if opossums are really that bad, I dunno.

Voles used to get trapped in my window wells and at first I was nice and I would put pieces of wood down there as a ramp so they could find their way out and they repaid my kindness by having about 100 babies and now they are over running my yard.

I'm in the process of killing the little sons of bitches. Death to all voles!

I hate possums, I agree with Tisket they are evil. I saw a rabid one in the days before everyone had a camera at all times and I swear it looked like a Rodent of Unusual size from that movie...you know...the movie with rodents of unusual size

http://adventuresoflittlemiss.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/possumhorror.jpg

and they stink, god they stink, my dog killed one in the back yard and that smell..I should have bought stock in febreeze because I am certain I contributed to the profit margin of that (Proctor and Gamble, NYSE:PG) company. God Awful creatures from the pits of hell.

If I'm correct with my Navy lingo..which I am not likely. I believe what your asking is his job? He'll be an Avionics Technician, though the AE or the AT part of it won't be determined until during his training. He will take his technical training (that's what us Air Force people call it) in Pensacola FL.

Went to watch the USA play at Wolff's Biergarten in Albany. Sooo many people. 20 dollars to get in and you got a stein and two drink tokens (two tokens fills the stein once :/), it was a fun time though. I got plastic beads from a dude with a black eye, and the girl he was with told me to flash her to get her beads. I was like Jeeze, he just gave me his--you drive a hard bargain. She said she earned her beads, and I said she better show him how she earned them so he knows for next time. They were licking throats by the end of it and I was just like a'yeah.

Sweet! The firefighters at Langley always had good jokes when I was shooting video of them. During one particular phase 2 exercise I was getting some video on them and they led me into this mock building saying I'd get great video there.. then they pumped the place full of smoke without telling me.. good times!

I don't! That's why I'm working on quitting. I cut back from about a pack (~17/day :X) when I was still in school, to ~10/day about a month ago, and I'm hovering between 4-7 right now. Depending mostly on how much I'm driving/if I'm drinking/if Nathan is around. He was hoping I would quit before we moved into the house (not that I smoke inside, but y'know fresh start stuff) but not quite. Getting there...

The day after that photo I felt sooo gross, my lungs hurt a lot. It was probably a good reinforcement that it is awful.

Have you tried using electronic cigarettes? I smoked for over 18 years, 13 of them between a pack and two packs a day, and quit 26 days ago. I shut myself in the house for almost a week until I got over the actual nicotine part (for myself, and public safety) and started using one with nicotine free liquid just to help with the mental/habitual aspect. It's worked wonderfully for me.

The initial investment was only $70 too, which where I live is less than the cost of 10 packs. Only counting the cost of one pack a day I've already saved $120!

Smoking is gross!

I think that is what you meant to say.

E-cigs and vaporizers are not quite the same experience for me, unfortunately. I am happy to use my MMJ vape pen when I am at events and or certain public settings, but I can't imagine it being a complete substitute for life. Nothing hits like a good bong.

http://i46.tinypic.com/24w4kxw.jpg

Regarding tobacco, I am completely sick of all forms of it frankly, and have been tapering off considerably. Even a really bad day for me is less than 1/2 a pack and my general is 1/4 a day. The smell disgusts me, too, and I pretty much never smoke around others unless it's on the patio at a bar. I keep saying I am going to pull a Willie Nelson and just keep 20 rolled joints in my cigarette case instead. That'll totally do me! Just waiting for the rest of the world to catch up on that one. ;)

Speaking of which, HAY, I heard this news yesterday: WA state's Liquor Control Board will distribute licenses to the first 20 or so recreational cannabis outlets, allowing them to open their doors on July 8th. Maybe I don't need to renew my card after all, although I'll bet there is a hefty price difference. At least it is finally getting off the ground.

Only because everyone feels they have to be all politically correct these days and not only not offend anyone, but accept them all as well.

I'll be the dickhead... I do think homosexuality is gross. The thought of a dude fucking another dude in the ass is nasty. Woman on woman action isn't disgusting to me, call me biased. Doesn't really do much for me, but it's not a revolting notion. That said, if you're gay, fine. Be gay. Wanna smoke cigarettes? Fine, fire'em up. Just don't do it in public where it affects me.

Gnome Rage
06-27-2014, 08:35 AM
To be fair, as a smoker--its pretty gross. If I'm smoking in public, I usually ask those around me if it would bother them. Most of the time people say no. At the US game, I asked a girl and she said yes it would, and I just walked somewhere else. If it is on a street or something, I try to adjust myself to the wind and I put that shit behind my back if babies or dogs go past.

I can smell it on me now, I couldn't before, but now it is sometimes overwhelming even for me after I go have a cigarette to keep tasting it or smelling it. I can see how it would be absolutely repulsive to someone who wasn't a smoker or around smokers frequently.

Teaching the boys some woodworking. Finally got around to finishing that laptop table they "helped" me build (check for square? heck no we're 8).

They got to learn what wood grain was, how to tell the direction of the grain, why it's important to sand and finish with the grain, etc.

Did it turn a simple project into an all day affair? Yes.
Would I have it any other way? Not a chance.

We got three coats of poly on it with a light sanding (320 grit) between each coat, showing them how to feel for imperfections and explaining slow is smooth and smooth is fast. It needs at least one more coat before I'm happy but all and all for a simple project for them to cut their teeth on it went well.

Depending on the size of the window a window seat is actually pretty inexpensive and easy to do. I did some benches for my brother's dining room (we cut the wall out to open it and the benches separate the space and allow for great reading spots) out of stud lumber, sheet goods, and some drywall. Then I bought some foam and cloth and upholstered them, they're pretty pimpin.

Yeah, I'm just worried a window seat would actually fuck up the heating for that room. Baseboard heat right under the window (pretty much the length of the wall there). :( I don't want tons of cold coming in my window.

It would fuck up the heating for the whole room. You could go with a hot water toekick heater with electric fan. At which point you'll very likely need a plumbing professional to do the installation. Will also need a nearby source of electricity.

I'd buy a rocking chair and comfy pillow and throw, and stuff it by the window instead.

She pulled her shoes off while the civil-marriage-priest-guy-thing was talking, and the groom said waffly. It was pretty much amazing.

The only photos that were taken of me and Nathan, or me and ANYONE for that matter -- were after we helped to put together a 10ft x 20ft tent in 90 degree heat. ---- THE PHOTO was from the photo booth (which got REAL HOT in the sun) and we look like sweaty beasts. Hey, I did that, too! Mine was perhaps more on the adventurous side than relaxing, braving the Puget Sound off the coast of Langley, WA on Whidbey Island. Whidbey is known for heavy currents and of course, you have to hang on when the hot shot boaters go racing by and send some heavy wake. Lots of fun, though! Later we saw a heron and a sea lion, just chilling together on the docks. Beautiful weekend of sunshine in the PNW.

I actually was/am growing out facial hair for literally the first time in my life to benefit a charity in par with Turtle Rock Studios.

This is the longest I've ever had my facial hair grow in my entire life, not sure how I feel about it still....

Your beard is weak bro. I ser your clefted chin through it.

Yeah, it's like, I wanna say 15 days old now.

I'm worried about keeping it growing out, since I work at a Bar. Not sure how customers would feel about it and I wanna stay true to the pledge.

I pledged to grow it until February with only trimming and regular upkeep on it. But for anyone who does know me, they know I typically never have facial hair on me past like 2 days of not shaving hah...So this is a rather large change.

Luckily, it hides my cleft chin and 2nd, 3rd and 4th chin too. If only I had all this body hair to cover my fat rolls too :(

But nah, that's just how it oddly grew in...It like, separates still in that spot since it's not heavily grown there apparently.

You live up in the NE don't you? Beards common there? Most have them down here.

Yeah, I'm near Philadelphia still.

I guess beards are common, but you know how it can be. Army since 17, you (At least I) have been in the habit of shaving my face almost daily. Plus I was never a huge fan of facial hair...That may have just been a personal preference, or nightmares back from when I was a kid and my father used to always kiss me with his and bother the hell out of me..

It definitely makes me look somewhat older though, compared to when I do shave and look like I'm 25

Yeah, that's why I mentioned how you knew how it could be.

I just never got out of the habit and this is my 1st attempt.

It's similar to how I have been shaving my head with the same setting since 6th grade and not grown my hair out since.

Just ignore it. It'll eventually bug you when you eat and drink (your stache) then trim it all a bit. It is a cycle.

I splurged when I built this new PC. NHL 15 turned out to be a flop so I still only purchased one game for it, and that was Madden. I give up on consoles, hell even my 360 I still have and only played NHL on it mostly.

I had an Xbox One and sold it. EA Pass is great, I agree with that. It also all depends on what they end up putting in the Vault.

But as of now, I need to focus solely on my PC for many reasons

PC is still usually better though. Except for sports games.

Yeah, bought it back in June with the hopes of NHL15 being better. It ended up being a flop and was being published with certain game modes I mostly play it for. Madden was fun but still like NHL better

Always been ginger. But alot of people mistake it or think it's more of a blonde than ginger. The freckles and red hair I had younger made me believe otherwise.

I like the beard myself, and think I actually look good with it...I'm just, still adjusting and learning about it as I go along lol
