About a week ago the Danish government made the meticulous simulacrum available to users. You can download sections of the Denmark map here. The simulation involved the use of “trillions” of Minecraft bricks, and although there have been similar real-life Minecraft simulations before, from all appearances this is one of the most ambitious and detailed areas of this sort yet achieved.

The Danish Geodata Agency, the creators of the simulation, intelligently disabled the use of dynamite so that users could enjoy the pixelated Scandinavian land unmolested. But the innate human need to fuck shit up prevailed. You see, the Danish Geodata Agency had neglected to disable the “minecart with dynamite” item. Oops. Users figured this out, blew up parts of a number of Danish towns, and put American flags over the main train station of Copenhagen (pictured above)

The last thing the woman from Northeast Portland probably expected when she got up Tuesday morning was that she would be attacked by a sword-wielding elf.

But that's what happened around 7 a.m. as she drove her red BMW by the intersection of Southeast 7th and Morrison.

A man dressed in chain-mail with a helmet, shield and carrying a sword and staff ran into traffic and started attacking her car.

She called 911, reporting that "a pirate" was attacking her car.

When police got there, they detained Konrad Bass of Glendale, Oregon.

Bass told officers that he wasn't a pirate but a "high-elf engaged in battle with the evil Morgoth."

Morgoth is a character created by JRR Tolkien in a prequel to the Lord of the Rings stories. In the stories, he is the character from which all evil grew.

Bass, who was cited for criminal mischief and transported to Providence Hospital, also told officers he had taken LSD.

The woman's car had several puncture marks.

Fps games typically. I played the fuck out of BF4. I've been a huge gamer since the early 80's though, so pretty much any kind of game genre (except sports.) Lately though very few games seem interesting enough to warrant playing. The only ones I'm really looking forward to are CD Projekct's Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. I am interested in the potential of oculus rift, too, for games like Elite. I would love to play an adventure fps like Metroid Prime with the rift, especially if it used the CryEngine or something similar.

Did you try Wolfenstein or Titanfall? Sort of two entirely different takes on FPS gaming. One old school and one attempting to be innovative. I'm looking forward to the new Doom, as it is supposed to be a lot like the older type of FPS gaming of throwing massive waves of monsters at you. Less inventory management, more killing.

At the same time, COD: Advanced Warfare looks awesome too. Spacey is badass in the trailer and it looks like the multiplayer will be fun. I typically play against bots, but I may venture online to give it a try if it is good enough.

Titanfall was actually badass. I was against getting it, originally, but my best friend *someone who plays Gemstone with us* won 3 grand at gambling, and bought it for me because I was stubborn. Best. Decision. Ever.

It's REALLY fun.

Played Bunco for the first time last night. Kind of a crazy, chaotic game but fun, especially after a few drinks. The game room of the home we were in has a bathroom next to it and when I had to go, I stood up and made some kind of (perhaps slightly drunken) comment about hoping they couldn't hear me pee. I went in, did my business, washed my hands, then opened the bathroom door. They were all gathered around the doorway in listening poses, one even had a glass to his ear. It was pretty funny. I have no first hand experience with sharks and tigers, so I can swim in an ocean or lake without fear. Yes, I've met people who have wound themselves up so much about sharks, they won't go in a lake. Snakes are awesome, I'll catch them when I see them, then let them go. I'll admit, when a spider gets to a certain size, I'll immediately freeze up and then kill it dead if it's in my house. I leave the little ones to catch mosquitoes and such. I hike all the time through spiderwebs on the trails, it's no big deal.
