2.1 came out this week, and brought alot of changes.

One of the larger changes with 2.1 is the introduction of Leader boards now, and Seasons. Seasons last for X amount of time, and have "Season Only" legendaries etc in them. Granetd once each season ends, those legendaries that came from that season now enter the normal item pool...Basically any player who chooses to do seasons gets first crack at them and other stuff.

Seasons however basically mean an entirely fresh game. You start at level 1, with no shared gold or item stash and no shared crafting. You have to level everything up all over again and such.

For me it's fun, considering I am also a Hardcore player. Seasons allow me to start fresh and try out new builds or classes while still trying to rank high in leader boards or shit if I want.

Oh also, new Legendary Gems and Greater Rifts. And an item that adds a socket to your weapon without changing anything else on it

Yeah I stopped playing once the announcement came pretty much, knowing it wouldn't be too much longer before it's release. Otherwise I felt playing at that point was just wasting my time

Gob portals are nice, especially till today. The community buff is bumping up the gold but even so, once it's over they should give a solid amount.

I managed to find 3 over the weekend and made like 60 mil total, since 2 were on like hard difficulty.

what are gob portals and how do you get to them?

Goblins ... they are around the world holding a sack of goods. You need to DPS them down pretty quite to get into their portal of goodness.

They only randomly leave the portal open when they die. You enter portal, break vases and kill mobs and collect all the gold. There is a boss at the end called Greed. She has goblins on her back and when she runs into walls, will drop one off. Once you kill her, she drops a treasure chest with fat loot.

There is no more RMAH. So gold basically does nothing but feed your habit for re-rolling items/enchanting and crafting expensive damn gems :(

I already have like 150mil gold, in Hardcore Seasons. It's nuts, and I haven't even tried gold farming

I think the game was designed with the expectation of, if not primarily for a console version from the get-go. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but it was a... strange PC release.

Been thinking of trying out a crusader lately. All I've played is a wizard and it's pretty sick especially with Wand of Woh, but I hear crusader is pretty insane too.

I've been mucking around on Crusader for a few hours and they are pretty sick at crowd control and damage reduction. They get a skill that basically turns their shield into a holy shotgun pretty early. Though I'm not sure if it'll stay that way in the later game.

The right stick controls the direction you can roll, which makes combat a bit less hectic for ranged characters.

There is a delay before you can do it again but yeah, basically. You've pretty much got a button for potions and each button is mapped to a skill that can be swapped out. If you pick up a better piece of gear there's a little pop-up window on the left side that lets you know and you can switch it out on the spot or junk it.

It just runs really smooth and feels really good.

I never played it on PC and I'm loving it on Xbone. Although mage feels way OP. It's basically ice ray everything and collect mad loot.

Wait until you're rocking explosive blast with a Wand of Woh.

Which is another thing that has me hesitant to start over on console...Wand of Woh was a giant pain the ass to get ahold of with it's super shitty drop rate.

I picked this back up.... I REALLY love the advanced rift mechanics. It's just a lot more fun, it's nice to see such a high drop rate upon completion, and the option of either sticking with you riftstone or working on your Gem is nice.

Gemstone group is still up and running too, and now there's an option to actually enable a chat to it!

Although I wish there was still some form of item trading either in clan or what not, I have to say that right now Diablo is probably at it's best since it was released.

So many new mechanics, updates, buffs and such to various classes, the game finally came to be fun again for all it seems.

I'd say right now, Demon Hunters and Monks are the Professions to be, Witch Doctors are still great too but out of those 3 I'd say in order of highest Greater Rift completed I think it's DH, Monk, and then WD. Monk's are pretty sick now with Sunwoko and a Flying Dragon daibo

Wizards are still meh, and I think they even are still trying to fix Firebird set working properly, I haven't bothered to check that though.

Having fun face melting as a sader now, and with the new legendary gems it's awesome

DH are still at the top however, thanks to the recent changes to Dexterity and such. DH's will always be squishy, but right now I think DH still have the lead in highest GR's right along with Monks and WD's too.

by "Power", top DH is at 42k, on par with wizards, behind crusaders. They have the highest Burst DPS at 6m, but Crusaders aren't far behind at 5.7m

Under what category? DHs are naturally good selections for rifts due to rift mechanics, and the ability for them to Smoke Screen through/around Trash...

That doesn't mean they're top damage, or top survivability.

Solo. They are the top profession in regards to highest GR solo cleared.

Just got this (for PC). Seemed like a good time with the seasonal update, since I missed the boat before. This is easily the best diablo game I've ever played. I hated 2 and loved 1, but this one is just oozing flavor. Also, Dominic Keating as Kormac is awesome.

Anyway, I'm still learning wtf I'm doing. I just hit 70 and I'm starting the grind for stuff... not even sure what stuff yet, just stuff. My monk can survive in T3 against elites and shit, but it takes forever to kill anything, so I just stick to master or T1 for now. When treasure goblins were getting away because my DPS was too low, I decided I wasn't ready.

I went back a few pages and sniffed out some people's Bnet IDs and added them. Mine's Kain#1153. I'm playing non-hardcore.

Blew off my crusader at around 52 or so and started a barbarian. Holy shit this class is fun.

Crafted some level 70 stuff on my wizard with dropped level requirements to blast through 50s and 60s with, then threw a Furnace on him my wizard found a while back (it's rolled with INT and won't let me enchant over to STR but whatever). Kind of ruined it when I was trying to enchant it to a reduced level requirement when I should have just rolled a +damage on it and waited until 70 to use it, but whatever it still melts things.

Don't even need a fury generator skill on left click between being able to spam Furious Charge and Leap combined with the +50 fury from Warcry.

Probably gonna run a Leapquake build once I pick up the set. Raekur's set looks pretty fun too with FC having every rune, but Leapquake just looks phenominal especially with the freeze rune.
