My character will not respond in whispers to someone who is much taller than her, unless they're sitting or kneeling.

How do you determine this? What if it's a 'really tall' halfling? Is that much taller than a gnome? What about a tiny human? And wouldn't a 'really tall' giantman kneeling still be taller than a tiny gnome? Do you have a chart of various race sizes you go by? Can you share this chart?

I will accept any whisper as OOC. Yes there is a game mechanic that allows you to specify that you're being OOC in a whisper, no I'm not going to be a nazi about it. I have a gnome gemcutter. It tells me your name. It tells me a lot of things...

(We have tattoos that are alive, we can bake bread with the power of our brain, we can kill with a magical thought, but it's beyond the realm of reason to know someone's name?)

Yes. It's a fourth wall-breaker. Unless, I suppose, your character has trained in massive amounts of telepathy lore. That would be a legit RP angle.

I know how tall I think Kyna is. It's a little more difficult with giants but generally

Halflings SHORT (very short) humans and other gnomes can receive whispers standing.
Humans of average height or taller need to sit or kneel
Elves of average height or taller need to sit or kneel
Giants need to sit

Kyna is TALLER than average. So. Still working on her feature alter for her height.

I mean, that's fair, but I still think that in general you don't acknowledge someone's name if you've never been introduced.

Usually when my character doesn't know someone... starts chatting me up like they know who I am and calls me by name, I think it goes by reputation. I must be pretty damn infamous for all these people to know who I am and that makes me AWESOME.

[This is somewhat of a joke.. There is a fame list and even Hearthstone goes by reputation. This used to be considered for titles so it's not a stretch of the imagination to me.]

I've had some interactions with Sarowyn and she seems very special.

Isn't Sarowyn Desse?

I've had random, unintroduced people bow and greet my character before but it's been well-handled with a, "Ah, I know of your family." or "Your work with (blah) is very prominent." or something like that. It can be done well.

I like to introduce myself to you by saying "Hey, I saw that post of yours on the Player's Corner Forum."

Better than saying, "Hey, I saw that post of your boobs on the Player's Corner Forum."

That is usually my second comment.

I agree, to an extent. I mean I've healed people day after day, who have never actually "introduced" themselves to me. Do I pretend not to know their name? How long do I have to keep that up? I see the point about the fourth wall, and I generally don't walk up to someone I've never met and say "Oh Hi there <playername> right off the bat, but at some point introduction or not I just know your name. But then I am a self-confessed shitty role-player too. :tumble:

Supposedly, I've been told, you can't do height alterations.. or am I mistaken on this?

You can.

Or used to. I loved Chica's diminutive description.

On another note, has Anarquendi always acted like a dumb kid or has he been sold recently or something.
I thought he used to be alright until this morning.
