You really should take the time to listen to the Dan Carlin video I posted about the history of Afghanistan. It would help you understand the societal politics of the region and how puppet leaders end up with their heads being displayed in the public square.

It's rather fascinating how similar this withdraw is to the first time the UK was kicked out of Afghanistan 180 years ago. The Brits literally were made to abandon their weapons, told to leave and then massacred with their own weapons.

I would go as far as to argue that displaying the rainbow flag was a really stupid move.

Yes, I’m well aware of how it’s like over there. Still, if the Afghan government was still in control right now, the situation wouldn’t be like it is now in Kabul.
