Of course I didn't read the bill, just like you didn't read the bill. That's why we elect people to represent our values.
The current political climate suggests to me that I should take the word of the "fist bumping" Republicans over anything that a Democrat would say or the media.
This is what happens when a political party focuses the majority of their attention on skin color and genitalia while the vast majority of the people are worried about paying their bills.
You lost, get over it.
Uh huh, Republicans are pissing all over themselves as the Foreign Legion, VFW and most of the large Veteran advocate groups are trashing them for halting a bill to finally allow active military and veterans to get treatment for the cancers and other horrible afflictions gained from military burn pits. Toomey had the best reaction of all, claiming a comma in the wrong place could hypothetically allow Democrats to maybe, spend money on other things they haven't imagined yet. Maybe.
Republicans were trying to punish Democrats for /possibly/ advancing a corporate tax rate and clean energy bill, that believe it or not, has incentives the oil industry has come and said they support. America's won't stand for veteran health being held hostage. You lost, get over it.
I bet Seran bought a lot of parsley from his weed dealer back in the day. And then said he got super baked off of it.

"Andy Cohen delivers message to gay men about monkeypox: 'We need to take this seriously'"
Appreciate his message - but as said a couple weeks ago... they're going to try and make the monkeypox virus, in addition to covid, the most dangerous thing in the world over the next 2 months before the elections.
Been through this all before... btw, if you've been vaccinated against smallpox (which a lot have) you're probably 99% ok.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7129998/
From 2003... btw, it doesn't kill you, but they'll try to scare you like it does.

"Newsom declares California state of emergency over monkeypox outbreak"
LOL... found this right after I saw the Cohen thing... right on que.
State of emergency - for a virus mostly transmitted through "intimate contact" - that doesn't kill you - that passes after 2-4 weeks - versions of smallpox vaccine works, in addition to the other vaccines already out there....
BUT - people are stupid, and now he can reinstate all those fun "state of emergency" measures on the populous for whatever bullshit reasons they have coming up... oh yea, like the elections.
Amazing how stupid people are.

"‘House of the Dragon’ Writer Speaks Out: ‘We Don’t Depict Sexual Violence,’ Only ‘One Instance Off-Screen’"
When people don't realize... it's fiction...
"“[We] don’t shy away from it,” Sapochnik said. “If anything, we’re going to shine a light on that aspect. You can’t ignore the violence that was perpetrated on women by men in that time. It shouldn’t be downplayed and it shouldn’t be glorified.”
People are so fucking stupid. This show is going to flop hard.
I can't wait for the woke pile of garbage to flop. Just like the new star wars series Endor, let's toss in a load of woke garbage to kill the show and further damage the brand. They didn't learn anything from Rebels, Clone Wars, The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett. Now, GOT gets the woke suicide pill.
I thought Clone Wars was good until Disney acquired it, I couldn't watch the last season they produced that wrapped up the series.
I thought Boba Fett was crap.
I thought the first season of The Mandalorian was pretty good, but it failed to keep my interest the second season.
I never watched Rebels.
I thought Obi-Wan was pretty bland.
I thought Rogue One was halfway decent.
Han Solo story wasn't very good.
As for the Star Wars movies VII, VIII and IX, they were dreadful and almost unwatchable. I'm kind of leaning to the thought that Phantom Menace might just be slightly better than the last three Star Wars entries and I fucking hate that movie because of Jar Jar.
Disney has pretty much trashed the Star Wars franchise for me. I know others seem to like it, so keep on liking it, but I'm done with that crap.
Also, the Marvel movies (and shows) as of lately have been on the downward slide, too. I don't know if I'm just getting tired of them (which certainly could be case) or if I'm tired of the stupid SJW/woke shit Disney has been doing or if I just don't like the artistic direction some of the the movies have been going since Thor: Ragnarok. If I had to guess it's probably a good mixture of all the above.
I'm just hoping that Disney doesn't fuck up Daredevil when they start it back up and if they bring The Punisher back they better not fuck that up either.
But with how things are trending lately, they'll probably reboot The Punisher and cast it with some girl and she'll be Asian and her back story will be that her Hispanic, lesbian, transgender-man-that'-had-a-full-sex-change-wife and adopted kids (of different ethnic backgrounds) were killed accidently in an automobile accident as they were on their way to attend a LGBTQ+ parade and she's wanting to avenge their deaths and bring the killers to justice by finding "clever" ways to get them arrested and put them behind bars without any kind of moral or physical altercations.
Yeah....a lot of video entertainment has become crap, but I can see The Punisher getting rebooted as outlined above because it checks off all the boxes and that's what the people want!
Mandalorian was amazing. Boba Fett was okay. Rebels and Clone Wars were both pretty damn good. Rogue One was one of the best Star Wars movies ever made. Han Solo isn't bad at all either.
I think they've improved it. Lucas was just letting everything stagnate.
I do agree, the new 3 SW trilogy movies did suck though. VIII was the worst shit produced out of anything, including the Star Wars Christmas Special.
I agree with what you said about Rogue One. That opinion isn’t shared by all the fans or critics though. Rogue One showed the gritty desperation and some moral ambiguity with the Rebels which felt unique. It also deepened / enhanced the story of A New Hope.
I thought Solo sucked and was also disappointed with Obi-Wan. To me it lacked emotional connection and the telling of a good story. It was obvious Disney just hired lazy writers to milk the franchise for money.
If you want to watch a truly great relaunch/spin of a classic film trilogy, check out Cobra Kai. That’s now the gold standard of how you both satisfy existing fans and bring in new ones.
Why would the Democrats care about the issue? It's a Republican talking point that has absolutely no impact on current day events. Yes, the Right would absolutely love for this to be a free for all before the midterms, but they're the only ones who are shaking the tree. Come 2024, we'll see.
A quick google search reveals that Democrat voters (not Republicans) are dissatisfied with Biden in virtually every single poll conducted. It’s not a Republican talking point. Democrat leadership can of course can continue to ignore reality & remain out of touch with their own voting base. As you said we’ll see the impact of that in both the mid-terms & 2024 elections. Prepare yourself for the red wave.
Like I said, he is a goddamn space wizard, no he doesn't.
Apparently there was some book that came out that takes place when Obi-Wan was still a kid in training, and it involved a gay dude, a non-binary whatever, a pansexual, and whatever the fuck other dumb shit these retards make up, or something like that...

It's not like they were enforcing it anyways, but now? it will only get more worse than it already was.
Past 2 years, something like 3m+ illegals have entered (something like 200k+ a month easily)... well expect that to go up.
3 million people entering a country illegally... is an invasion. There is no other way to put it. If 3 million Americans got on the Border and walked south, I'm sure the story would be a lot different.
This country is fucked, because at a reasonable estimate - the next 2 years while these dipshits are in charge - easily another 5m+ illegals will cross, they'll figure out a way to pass even more billion dollar "relief packages" pushing inflation even further...
They're pouring gas onto every sector they can try to destroy before the midterms and 2024 elections.
The Republicans better go scorched fucking earth on the Dems if they get control of the House. Ignore whatever legacy media says about them (they already hate them anyways) and raid, subpoena, and convict (because there is actual evidence - not made up Russia Russia Russia bullshit) as many of them as they can.

"CBO Confirms to Graham: Dems’ “Inflation Reduction Act” Won’t Reduce Inflation"
https://nypost.com/2022/08/15/inflat...class-20b-cbo/
"Inflation Reduction Act will cost middle class $20B in new taxes: CBO"
"An analysis by the CBO estimates those earning less than $400,000 — the group on which Biden promised not to raise taxes — will pay an estimated $20 billion more in taxes over the next decade as a result of the Democrat-pushed $740 billion package, which also sets aside $80 billion to hire 87,000 IRS agents."
Now the real telling part... who's for the middle class again?
"...the agency scored the impact of the IRS expansion on middle-class taxpayers on Aug. 12 after a provision from Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) sought to exempt those making under $400,000 from increased IRS scrutiny.
Crapo’s proposed amendment would have kept those taxpayers from being targeted by the new IRS hires, but his provision was shot down 51-50 in the bill passed by the Senate last week."
So the D's shot down an amendment that would ensure the 80k+ new IRS agents WOULD NOT target low wage earners? Huh... interesting.

Shaps has found our the truth. A mere reduction of $305 billion in their deficit, thousands of dollars per year in expenses for seniors and potentially even high Medicare expenses over the coming decades by allowing prescription reimbursement to be negotiated doesn't reduce inflation tomorrow. It'll only save the country and the taxpayers hundreds of billions, potentially trillions in national debt interest. The gal of this President to save our country's fiscal stability!

This is just an example...
Said months back... watch who buys what in places that are/were devalued during the riots, "pandemic", etc... follow the money/connections far enough... you might finally realize what's going on.
Hooooboy, look at all that salt and anger. What makes you more angry, that Biden passed landmark registration that'll help seniors and reduce our deficit, or the fact you've just realized Democrats are the only one's accomplishing any thing and have overcame Republican obstruction.
Look, American foreign policy costs money, roads cost money, seniors and children cost money. While Democrats are trying to balance the budget, the only thing Republicans accomplished while they were in charge was pass MASSIVE tax cuts that put our budget so out of balance that Democrats will be fixing it for decades.
And don't think Democrats won't fix it. Republicans don't believe in balanced budgets, never have. They like massive deficits to power the dollar valuation to make it easier for corporation donors to sell to overseas markets.
There has never been a case of government price controls helping the poor and middle class. Ever.
You bitch about tax cuts yet when done, they increase revenue. We don't need more taxes, we need less spending and that spending needs to be cut from entitlement programs since they are 3/5ths of the budget.
Democrats haven't ever fixed anything other than elections, trials and prosecutions.
And yet, the only cuts your party has enacted has been tax cuts, mostly for the ultra wealth and businesses, without subsequent cost cutting. Now one might argue they cut taxes in order to /force/ Democrats to cut spending, but we both know that while Republicans are clearly irresponsible enough to create their deficit without splashing spending, they'd never actually cut spending. So that brings us back to Republicans being the problem.
Yes, Democrats likely to spend. Boy howdy do they like to spend. Entitlements, research, societal improvements, infrastructure. They better our country left and right and utilize taxes to do it. Republicans don't want spending, but they do, just only on farmers, military and business grants. But they're unwilling to tax to pay for it. So when Democrats are in office, they fund everything and attempt to balance the budget with reversing Republican tax cuts. Only.. They haven't been able to until now.
Wow, your delusion is deep. Entitlements don't improve anything other than Democrat voter rolls which is why Democrats do them. And yet, you claim you are for infrastructure but Democrats voted against a large infrastructure bill in building the wall. So keep lying.

"Minneapolis Teachers Outraged after Union Contract Suggests Race-Based Layoff Agreement"
"In an effort to revise how the district hires and retains teachers of color, the new contract states that teachers will be subject to layoffs or job changes in “order of seniority,” unless the teacher is part of an “underrepresented group.”
Now I'm all for increased teacher pay, tougher oversight and easier hiring/firing practices for bad teachers, and smaller classroom size (increasing the teacher workforce)...
But firing based upon race? I'm pretty sure that idea is completely antithetical to the concept and direction we were headed as a Nation. This is what tribalism and leftist ideology results in.
Don't take my word for it...
https://www.eeoc.gov/statutes/laws-enforced-eeoc
"This law makes it illegal to discriminate against someone on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex."
All I see is "on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex".... I don't see a carveout in that law for "under represented groups"...
The only way to support and reach the goal of full inclusivity, is to be FULLY inclusive... but... they like separating us based on our immutable aspects - have to keep the sheep in line.
Pretty surprising they would employ that language, it openly invites lawsuits. Their reasoning of having a more inclusive subsect of teachers representing a 62% African American students and rectifying past discrimination pretty openly discriminates itself. I don't know many people outside of the far left, or sociologist professors who don't cringe every time someone says skin color is a qualification to understand people of the same pigmentation.

"Bill Gates Personally Lobbied Manchin to Support Democrats’ Spending Bill: Report"
I swear...
I fucking hate our politicians... on both sides.
It makes sense for Minneapolis. The fucktards on the city council that worked on defunding the police and then came around later to complain that crime has gone up....yep, these stupid fucking people run the city. And they wonder why people are leaving the city and not coming back.....let folks riot and burn businesses down, defund the police and now want to fire people based on the color of their skin. I'm so glad I don't live in Mpls, but I'm disgusted that I live nearby and have to deal with it.
Take the story of the LA Unified School District this morning whose facing a lawsuit over their African American child having been required to participate or watch in a reenactment of life as a slave by making student participate in picking cotton from a garden in front of their school. Anyone who'd think the child would obtain an important life lesson from that needs their head reexamined.
Meanwhile I'm the the school will settle a low to mid six figure payout to the traumatized child's mother. A perfect use of taxpayer money: don't pay for education, pay for teachers and administrators mistakes!
Fucking absurd. Sad to hear that happened to a child.
This is what I don't get... because I think both are not the place for young children.
If you disagree with forcing a child through such an event, why are you for teaching young children about sex? I'm not talking teenagers - as part of HS curriculum... I'm talking about the push for teachers to explain sex to 5-12 year olds.
The example you described disgusts me, and the one I just explained does also.
Now in HS... I could see if part of drama club, theater class, etc... a student enacting a scene or such is perfectly acceptable IMO. Sex education, from a medical standpoint is also perfectly acceptable IMO.
I just don't get having young children re-enact slavery, or teach them about sex. Let them be kids.
Because reenacting life a hundred and fifty years ago is q million times less relevant than telling kids about unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, making them less terrified of the changes happening to them and for encouraging them to come forward about crimes and abuse. Parents have a right to not involve their kids in sex education. A political party doesn't have the right to ill define sex education. Left or Right.
Are you an idiot? I said I'm fine with sex education from a medical perspective starting in HS... not untrained 1st grade teachers telling 6 year olds how they got railed over the weekend by a strap on wearing french poodle while licking ice cream out of a clowns ass.
The fact you are even trying to justify it... really does make me think you like little kids way, way to much... and that is fucking disturbing.
It's not my imagination... just one example.
https://nypost.com/2021/10/12/gender...u-in-the-dark/
"Gender Spectrum is perhaps the most prominent organization providing resources on gender in schools. Not only does Gender Spectrum train schools to teach elementary-aged kids that gender is non-binary, it encourages them to keep skeptical parents in the dark about their Gender Support Plan and coaches school personnel to testify in custody disputes in favor of “affirmation,” i.e., pushing kids toward drastic treatments to alter their bodies to match their subjective sense of gender."
"Thus, parents might have to be kept in the dark. “If the student doesn’t have an open relationship with the family,” then revealing the school’s plan “can be unsafe for them.” To remedy this, Baum recommends deceptive strategies, such as using one name for the students at school and another in parent communications."
I'm pretty sure it's not the schools responsibility to lie and omit information regarding a child in their class, from the PARENTS.
Look man.. I get it.. you're one those sick fucks that think 8 year olds should be taught about cross dressing and blowjobs. You let it slip awhile back.. but the fact you've now doubled down on it, in two different threads, is outright disturbing.
I wonder if Shaps is the definition of what's ill in American far right politics. All those lies that sex education is teaching kids and teens to be promiscuous. When in reality, sex education is about keeping children safe. The deep red side of the political spectrum can't be the party of family values, all the while looking away when your Catholic priests and boy scout troop leaders are abusing children by the thousands. You can't claim to be the purity party when you make a hero of Senator Jim Jordan after what his beastie did to those college athletes. You're not the party of law and order when you're screaming for the federal DOJ to be overthrown because it's investigating your orange messiah for criminal acts they have overwhelming evidence he committed.

"The FDA’s decision to move forward without data from human trials is a gamble, experts say, threatening to further lower public trust in the vaccines should the new boosters not work as intended."
Because you know... science.
Also you dipshit... the polio and measles vaccines... actually stop people from getting those diseases. Does the covid vaccine stop people from getting covid? And you want to compare them?
Just because they decided to change the definition of vaccine this year, doesn't mean it's actually a vaccine... because it's not even on par with previous "vaccines".
Stop being such an ignorant jackass.
Follow the science until it's time to deny the science so you can continue to justify human genocide.
Sounds reasonable, just make sure you get your covid "vaccine" that works for 4 months.
You should stick to pin-up posters like the backwoods skeeve that you are. Science is way beyond your comprehension.
It's amazing how these antivaxxers use their hatred of science to try and mislead people away from protective medicines that have saved and will go on to save hundreds of thousands of lives. Nearly two years of testing, patient follow ups, and we've seen conclusively the Covid-19 vaccinations are just as safe as any other vaccine offered. Give it a rest guys, you're wrong.
When you don’t apply critical thinking to the scientific community and treat them as an infallible god, we have already recently seen those consequences. How many lives do you estimate were saved by Covid-19 lockdowns? What cost did we pay to our economy, to school children being left behind educationally, in mental health issues related to prolonged isolation, and preventable deaths from other diseases/illness as a result of not reviewing treatment?
But you know who did benefit greatly? Scientists, big pharma, and power hungry political tyrants did.
They definitely had a hand in pushing it's rollout. A pity Trump also did even more encouraging people to resist masks, vaccines and other common sense approaches to infection control. Probably would have won re-election if he hadn't put so much energy into sabotaging the work of his own appointees.
Nobody is saying they are anti-vax, they are saying let the misguided tools buy the Beta version and wait it out for the VCR version.
There's only people like you that hate science so they can murder children and convince children that they are not little boys and girls.
We could save 10's of millions of lives if people like you didn't hate science so much.
Yeah that is pretty much what I am saying in respect to the Covid lockdowns, except I included government politicians in the beneficiaries and it’s not a conspiracy. It’s a fact of the many negative consequences of lockdowns and it provided very little benefit to people aged under 60. It’s a fact that Covid gave local, state, and federal politicians & bureaucrats more power & it regressed our civil liberties.
Cuomo didn't follow the science. We knew from the very beginning that THE most vulnerable were the elderly.. and he put covid positive people in nursing homes, causing many of those residents to catch covid and die.
To this day, I do not understand the reasoning behind that decision. The only one that makes any sense was that Cuomo knew the elderly would die and he was fine by that.

Knew that fucker Fauci was an anti-vaxxer. POS.
It also doesn't help that NY city is filthy AF.
let's also not forget the misuse of the Naval ships that were dispatched at the onset of the covid "epidemic". Both NY and CA failed to properly make use of the medical ships while local hospitals were "overflowing" with patients.
There's a pretty big difference between polio/measles vaccines and covid vaccines, with the main thing being that you don't take a polio or measles vaccine and still get polio or measles anyway.
But yes, you and Seran should definitely line up and take every covid shot there is. Get 3 of each actually.

Why they started using the term "equity" instead of "equality" anymore... just keep stoking the race division.
Speaking of how dumb religious people can be. They don't want STD testing or medications preventing HIV and so want the law changed so others can't get them either, because it's against their Christian faith. Imagine being so short-sighted and dumb that you're trying to make others suffer because of your faith.
Quote:
Texas Christians sue over federal insurance mandate for HIV prevention drugs PrEP
A group of Christians from Texas is suing to knock down many of the Affordable Care Act’s preventive care mandates, specifically targeting HIV drugs.
The federal government last year began requiring most insurance companies to fully cover HIV prevention medication known as PrEP, sold under the brand names Descovy and Truvada. But in a federal lawsuit filed in North Texas, a group who say they oppose homosexuality on religious grounds are suing to change these rules.
Their lawsuit says the federal system for determining which preventive care insurance companies must cover is unconstitutional and argues the plaintiffs, as people of faith, should be able to opt out of coverage for specific medicines like PrEP and contraception.
That year, an expert panel tasked with recommending preventive care best practices to the federal government gave PrEP its top rating. Under rules set out by the Affordable Care Act, the decision meant most insurers would be required to cover the drugs as well as associated doctor’s visits and lab tests with absolutely no out-of-pocket cost to the patient.
The lawsuit says they also do not want coverage for free STD testing because they are in monogamous relationships. Kelley believes he should be allowed to opt out of this coverage for himself, and the staff he employs at Kelley Orthodontics.
The plaintiffs want the court to rule that insurance companies should have to offer plans that do not cover these preventive services — a carve-out for religious objectors.
“Each of these plaintiffs is a Christian, and they are unwilling to purchase health insurance that subsidizes abortifacient contraception or PrEP drugs that encourage and facilitate homosexual behavior,” the lawsuit stated.
https://www.bozemandailychronicle.co...a2830b039.html
Because forcing people to PERSONALLY pay for things they don't want to amounts to slavery and should have never been legally possible. Nothing prevents insurance companies from proving the coverage, nothing prevents employers from providing the coverage, the issue is the mandate.
Now, before you go off on the deep end of bullshit about how companies won't provide it without being forced too, I work for an insurance company and in under an hour, employers and my company had worked out benefits and made the announcement that many plans would offer travel benefits for people needing to travel to get an abortion that includes a care giver as well. So keep at it Leftist crybabies, you are running down the slope of totalitarian oligarchy at break neck speed.

And no - I'm not going to link the venn diagram showing the sick relationships and appointments between the Democrat Party and the "news organizations"... it's so fucking long, it would take forever.
Here's an exercise... what in this list of defined authoritarian concepts might sound familiar?
Hindrances to free and fair elections in authoritarian systems may include:
Control of the media by the authoritarian incumbents.
Interference with opposition campaigning.
Electoral fraud.
Violence against opposition.
Large-scale spending by the state in favor of the incumbents.
Permitting of some parties, but not others.
Prohibitions on opposition parties, but not independent candidates.
Allowing competition between candidates within the incumbent party, but not those who are not in the incumbent party.
?
But hey... it's all just a conspiracy.. the Democrat Party actually cares about us.
Yeah, there is really not much coding necessary in the implementation and yes, it was pretty damn quick. It's not like there needed to be any CPT codes created or anything like that. Just guidance issued, a small update on code routing and claims processors made aware. OH, and likely a signed agreement from the employers to accept addendum to the contracts.
Incorrect, they're trying to force the court to overturn the portion of the ACA requiring those medications and services, to allow insurers to create plans that don't offer that coverage. Since employers and governments choose what plans to offer, this would have the far greater reaching effect of preventing critical care from reaching those who need and want it. All because of a handful of religious snowflakes
Except you are wrong. They are forcing employers to pay for services they don't agree with. They are literally saying you can't develop, buy and provide to your employees any coverage that does not include the coverages and expenses that they don't agree with. Your lack of understanding of this is not surprising but it has been explained to you dozens of times. so many so that a certifiable moron could have understood and remembered it. In your case, it's simply willful idiocy.
There is absolutely nothing stopping an employer from creating a cafe plan of their own which self-funds medical expenses on a cash basis. Nor does it stop the employee who wants to be a snowflake conscientious objector from declining health insurance altogether. Multiple options exist for the .01% of idiots who object to section 2713 of the ACA, further to even have standing they must show /damages/ caused by service /they don't utilize/. This is impossible.
These dumb Christians and their Republican backers who keep trying to find dumber and more ridiculous ways to try and overturn the ACA just need to go back to bed and read their Watchtowers and cry about people they hate getting medical treatment.
Yeah, actually there is fucknugget. The only plans that can not carry the mandated coverages once an employer reaches a certain size are grandfathered plans. Self funded plans still have to meet the Federal Laws, they just don't have to abide a lot of local laws. You are simply wrong, again. And as an employer, after a certain size, you don't get to opt out of providing health insurance. And, as has been highlighted over and over is that they are forced to spend their money, as employers, on plans that have benefits that they don't agree with. Gods you are stupid.
PB is right, no one even has a hope in hell of taking your retard crown away.
Or they can sue to get the law changed.
It's pretty simple.
SPOILER: I have no dog in this race.. since I'm an atheist, pro-choice and disagree with a company saying they don't want their insurance money going to HIV drugs... but "or they could just not expand their business" is one of the dumbest things posted in this thread in a very long time.
There's no chance someone that much of a Christian snowflake isn't working for Jim Bob's House of Non-Canonical Biblical Prophecy and Bait Bucket. Anyone else who actually had group health insurance, there's no way they'd hire someone who got twitchy the moment they were asked to have a seat on a leather chair. Or answered a question about a hardship on their life and proceeded to tell them about how the snakes in their bible study class only speak every other Sunday.
I have been joking. I would have thought the abstain comment would have been the giveaway.
From everything I've read Prep is a pretty good thing for everyone, it's not just for gay people. I hope that since it addresses a pretty important health risk for the public it will outweigh the court's view of their right of religious freedom.

Former President Donald Trump baselessly accused Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman of using drugs and disparaged his clothing while speaking at a rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night.
In his speech, Trump claimed without evidence that Fetterman supports "taxpayer-funded drug dens and the complete decriminalization of illegal drugs including heroin, cocaine and crystal meth and ultra-lethal fentanyl."
"And by the way, he takes them himself," Trump added.
There is no evidence to suggest Fetterman has ever used illicit drugs. Fetterman has never expressed support for decriminalizing the drugs mentioned by Trump, although he has advocated for marajuana decriminalization.

During his speech, Trump also mocked Fetterman's signature casual attire.
"This guy is a disaster. He comes in with a sweatsuit on. I've never seen him wear a suit. A dirty, dirty, dirty sweatsuit. It's really disgusting. You know, I'm a clean freak. I'm a clean freak, Oz. I don't like those dirty sweatsuits. They're disgusting."
It appears to be part of a really smart -- they're practically Braniacs -- strategy by Trump and Oz to smear Fetterman. Just days after the crudité catastrophe, Oz struck out at Fetterman's stroke, which Dr. Oz said could have been prevented by eating at least one vegetable during Fetterman's lifetime..
Quote:
In an exclusive statement as part of Insider's investigation into Oz, the doctor's campaign jabbed back. "If John Fetterman had ever eaten a vegetable in his life, then maybe he wouldn't have had a major stroke and wouldn't be in the position of having to lie about it constantly," Rachel Tripp, Oz's senior communications advisor, said.
Fetterman later responded on Twitter, saying "I had a stroke. I survived it. I'm truly so grateful to still be here today. I know politics can be nasty, but even then, I could *never* imagine ridiculing someone for their health challenges."

Have to love when "fact checkers" skirt the "facts"...
1. "If a restriction on heating homes ever came into effect, the spokesperson said the likely scenario is that most people would follow it, just as most people complied with measures like social-distancing or working from home at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic." - Been saying for years this was the goal - training the populous like pavlovian dogs.
2. ". A proposed ordinance to introduce such a restriction is still under consultation. It would take effect only in case of a severe natural gas shortage. Fines are in theory possible but would be difficult for authorities to issue. Jail time would be highly unlikely."
Even though the "fact checkers" say it's false.... then at the very end include the line above. People are fucking morons.

DeSantis majorly gaffed in answering this question and highlighted why he's a terrible governor and why he'd be an even worse President.
When faced with the crucial decision of whether to enforce mandatory evacuations or expend critical resources during or after a disaster like a fire or hurricane, you don't hesitate to force the belligerent person to evacuate before the disaster strikes.
You risk nothing removing someone out of harms way before the storm, but to have to send critical rescue personnel in to retrieve the person frantically calling 911 when their house is submerged to the roof, you risk an entire crew. Most of the dead reported were seniors, seniors who did not evacuate or were left behind on barrier islands or lowlands where it was known days in advance that flood conditions would strike.
As governor, he could have stepped in and ordered national guard personnel to support county law in enforcement to remove those who couldn't, or wouldn't leave. If he had, there would have been fewer deaths.
Quote:
"They informed people and most people did not want to do it," DeSantis said. "That’s just the reality. So you’re in a situation, are you going to grab somebody out of their home that doesn’t want to. I don’t think that’s the appropriate use of government. I mean, I think that takes it a little too far."
https://www.foxnews.com/media/desant...acuation-order
Weren't you just rejoicing at the thought of dead Republicans in Florida last week? Suddenly, you want the government to forcefully remove someone from their home to "safeguard" them?
That shit might work in California or New York.. doesn't really work in freedom loving states like Florida. If you make the decision to stay in your home, that is completely up to you. If you die, then you have no one to blame but yourself.
Sorry.
There are people do this with literally every hurricane no matter where it is or how bad the storm is. You also can't physically force them to leave, even if they're really really stupid for not evacuating.
Stop being such a desperate retard.
^ That was rhetorical, because we all know you can't help being a retard.
Where is the gaff in that statement? Be specific.Quote:

Meanwhile Biden is shaking hands with shades and calling on dead people in the audience. Kamala wants to give hurricane relief based on skin color and Pelosi wants human smuggling to continue for picking crops.
So is this where the Seran/Democrats think they finally found their talking points? That DeSantis didn't literally order people to evacuate at gunpoint? Holy shit.
I wonder if Democrats realize that "mandatory" evacuations don't literally mean "mandatory." It just means a threat exists in the area and you should leave the area because emergency services won't be working in the area until the threat has passed.
They had another talking point.. "Why did you wait until 1 day prior to the hurricane hitting to order mandatory evacuations"
Oh, I don't know.. they were following the science and the science said it would be hitting 150 miles north of where it hit?
Fucking MSM is the absolute worst. Like bitch.. why did you stay for the past 2 days in Tampa and now all of a sudden you drove down to Ft Meyers.
Dumbass.
I was watching some videos of people who were in the areas hit and they said they evacuated TO areas that were supposed to be "safe", only to be stuck there when the hurricane changed direction the day before and it turns out they would have been safer if they had just stayed where they were originally.
A lot of people also said they were tracking the news themselves (crazy I know, not a bunch of Serans just waiting around for the government to tell them what to do) and figured they would be safe where they were, only to find out the day before that they should leave but then risking being stuck on the highway or something when the hurricane came, so they decided to stay in their home.
But I guess Democrats think DeSantis is to blame because he's not omnipotent.
Republicans are against abortion, Republicans are against assisted suicide, Republicans are against leaving Afghanistan. Except when they're for those things during election years.
Defying evacuation orders is basically killing yourself, but you're also putting people at risk when you decide to call for a rescue. As happened hundreds upon hundreds of times during Ian.
The GOP needs to do itself a favor and stop being hypocrites.
Even more ironic when you realize Hurricane Ian was forecasted to create deadly storm surge along the entire area it flooded as early as a week ago. But DeSantis still decided not to act and people still defied the late evacuation notices.
Katrina
Planned Parenthood murders more human beings in 2 hours than the amount of lives lost to Ian , in Florida, thus far.Quote:

Population of Louisiana (2005): 1.4 millionQuote:
Kathleen Marie Blanco (née Babineaux; December 15, 1942 – August 18, 2019) was an American politician who served as the 54th Governor of Louisiana from January 2004 to January 2008. A member of the Democratic Party, she was the first and, to date, only woman elected as the state's governor.
Lives lost in Katrina: 1,833
Population of Florida (2022): 22 million
Lives lost in Ian: 94 (as of 1 hour ago)
Side note: The population of Louisiana decreased by nearly 350,000 between 2005 - 2006.
I know quite a few came and stayed around Dallas. I think my idea was that it was exactly the reverse situation with Red in president, and Blue at the state level. When hurricanes come through it doesn't really matter who prepares there is gonna be some stuff messed up.
I also remember Bush catching the flack though at the time.
My personal experience with natural disasters is that it doesn't matter who your leaders are, it's the community that you live in that matters.
Back in the late 90's we had straight line winds drop a big ass tree on our house. Half the house collapsed, the neighborhood looked like a nuke went off, it wasn't FEMA or insurance companies that got us back to normal. It was the neighborhood and our employers coming together that got us all through it.
One of our strongest allies, per Kamala, North Korea, launched a ballistic missile over Japan today. I wonder what we'll do...
Do you have sources that show Republicans are for abortions and for assisted suicides during election years? Also, Republicans are against leaving Afghanistan in the fiasco mess that President Biden orchestrated, leaving American service men killed.
Actually, you are incorrect. People can call for a rescue during a hurricane (if the cell towers are even up at that point) but it is widely known that during the actual hurricane, there is no help coming to you since you decided to stay in a mandatory evacuation area.Quote:
Defying evacuation orders is basically killing yourself, but you're also putting people at risk when you decide to call for a rescue. As happened hundreds upon hundreds of times during Ian.

Speaking of hypocrite Republicans:
Apparently DeSantis has a large history of using money paid put for disaster assistance to fund pet projects. Covid-19 money to pay to fly immigrants to other states. FEMA relief funds to build seawalls for the rich and powerful leaving on the beach: all the while having said other states didn't deserve any hurricane disaster relief funds.
