They don't want STD testing or medications preventing HIV and so want the law changed so others can't get them either, because it's against their Christian faith. Because forcing people to PERSONALLY pay for things they don't want to amounts to slavery and should have never been legally possible. Nothing prevents insurance companies from proving the coverage, nothing prevents employers from providing the coverage, the issue is the mandate.

Now, before you go off on the deep end of bullshit about how companies won't provide it without being forced too, I work for an insurance company and in under an hour, employers and my company had worked out benefits and made the announcement that many plans would offer travel benefits for people needing to travel to get an abortion that includes a care giver as well. Yeah, there is really not much coding necessary in the implementation and yes, it was pretty damn quick. It's not like there needed to be any CPT codes created or anything like that. Just guidance issued, a small update on code routing and claims processors made aware. OH, and likely a signed agreement from the employers to accept addendum to the contracts.

Since employers and governments choose what plans to offer, this would have the far greater reaching effect of preventing critical care from reaching those who need and want it. All because of a handful of religious snowflakes

Opting out is simply not using the coverage, no one is putting a gun to their head in order to use services they don't want. Snowflakes are demanding special "Christian friendly" plans.
