On heroic Trial of the Crusader, yes. You get 50 attempts for the raid lockout period. You get better loot for doing it in fewer attempts, an achievment for doing it in less than 25, and a mount for doing it in 1 attempt.

It's hard, man. I don't anticipate anyone doing it in 1 attempt for at least a few lockout periods.

BA won't do it ever. I get more and more frustrated with our raids on normal mode....

We downed Anub one-shot on 10 man.

Started the heroic 10 man, but the Northrend beasts come out on a timer (2 1/2 minutes). We'd burn the first guy down in time, but we'd be behind on the remaining snobolds, and then people wouldn't spread out and multiple ppl would get hit with a toxin/fire breath. The fire breath hits for a SHIT TON on heroic mode. It's not good.

Then a few people had to leave, so we didn't even manage the first boss. Heroic seems hard. Got 41 attempts left.

We started heroic 25 last night. The dps requirements are going to stop most guilds dead in their tracks. The time between the beasts coming out is nearly impossible, I think its 11million hps in 2 minutes 15 seconds to get the first guy down before the two worms come out without blood lust because you need blood lust for the worms transition. We started to get the hang of it but then the instance server we were on started getting 30 second lag spikes....sucked. Its pretty neat though and Im starting to realize the attempt counter is pretty meaningless 44 more attempts and 3 hours of raiding left this week....

Yes it did do that once but several times we spawned the worms and did not lose attempts...it seemed almost random. Once we lost an attempt because a jack ass re-zoned the instant they started to despawn and died in a fire...lol

What kind of numbers are you seeing out of your top 5 or so DPS on average? The reason I ask is our DPS seems to be very high, it's just our fuck as healers and our GM won't boot/remove them because they've been in the guild for years.

On one good meter I remember congratulating our blood dk on breaking 7k last night but it was a 3 minute fight and he used hysteria...Our rogues do 6-7k, our enhancement shammy does about 6k feral druid about 6k. Everyone else tends to fall between 5-6k or gets a talking to.

We werent using bloodlust last night because we wiped before we got to phase 3 every time btw.

For an HPS comparison on beasts of northrend heroic hard mode our average HPS is 5k and our tanks have 50k hp.

I don't know.. we were doing 2/2 practice runs last night.. we had this warlock/warrior team where the warrior disco'd at the beginning.. and the warlock gave us a real difficult time. From what I could tell, he was wearing top end pve stuff and practically had no resilience on at all.

Trick to resto shamans is to constantly be bumping their totems and just completely ignore them until they have 1k mana. If you leave a resto shamans water shield alone entirely they will oom in about 2 minutes. If you like...keep a disease on him or accidently aoe him now and then he will never oom. CC the hell out of their partner and keep hp pressure on him...you likely wont kill them with the shaman up but hell burn through shit loads of mana.

I would recommend getting a masters instead but one tip I can offer is not to worry about the brilliant shards you will get about 10 a trip at least into dunemaul and you will have to spend a lot of time there to get all the crap. To put into perspective, the person I know who has been working on "The insane" for months did "Conqueror" in a week and a half.

Actually, there is a method called "I'm too dumb to go left or right". You run straight ahead, directly through Icehowl. Even works on hardmode (when you don't get the speed buff).

Then we went and put our first real night of effort into 25man ToC and got up to the twin Valks, we had over half the raid that had never seen the fight, we should get it next time we go in but it was 12:30 so I went to bed. I told Spirit we need to just put a healing priest in seperate groups so they can basically spam PoH and top off the tanks.

I was invited to a 10 man Ony pug. 2 people asked "Where is the FP to Onyxa?" and once I got there, the other 9 people wanted a summons. I explained how the summoning stone worked and after someone finally flew there, we summoned everyone. I ran into the instance and as I was in the loading screen, I got a quick phone call and had to step away. Upon my return, I saw a timer asking me if I wanted to be saved to the instance. I instinctively hit "Yes".

Turns out the idiot leader who put the group togeher had already done Onyxia the previous day and "forgot".. so I saved myself to an already cleared out instance.

I joined LFG last night. Got an immediate invite and summon to the instance. Run up to Ony since they cleared the trash. Turns out it was cleared because they'd been failing. Ready check goes up, I flask up. One hunter (who was last on the damage meter) is afk, he doesn't come back after a couple minutes so people start leaving. So I got summoned, flasked and used my hearth and never killed a thing. :(

I was invited to a 10 man Ony pug. 2 people asked "Where is the FP to Onyxa?" and once I got there, the other 9 people wanted a summons. I explained how the summoning stone worked and after someone finally flew there, we summoned everyone. I ran into the instance and as I was in the loading screen, I got a quick phone call and had to step away. Upon my return, I saw a timer asking me if I wanted to be saved to the instance. I instinctively hit "Yes".

Turns out the idiot leader who put the group togeher had already done Onyxia the previous day and "forgot".. so I saved myself to an already cleared out instance.

I got a sweet 251 item level pvp leg last night from VOA25. I wish you could do raids more than once a week, I'm usually done with 10 mans by Thursday and 25 mans by Monday.

On a side note, did anyone buy as many of the brew fest maces they could to resell later? Price got down to 700-800 gold for each one so I bought 5 of them. Figure I can resell them for at least double in a few months.

Saw both mounts in one run, lost both. Guy who got the ram already had the kodo. A freshly dinged 80 on their first run midway through the festival got the kodo mount. Good luck for them and all, but I was pissed. First run, lowest DPS etc etc... I made all kinds of excuses to be stupid mad. :P

I did finally get a mace/mug on my second to last run. Now I just have to figure out when to sell it to make the most of it. I know some sold for 3-4k in the first three days, before the market got flooded and they went to 1500-2000. By the time I got mine people were offering 750g maybe. Hopefully the price will go back up later on when less are available.

I haven't paid much attention to that weapon type, but I am assuming it is the #1 BOE item for its type at the moment? Maybe even #1 one handed BOE weapon? Assuming you aren't a caster.



AND, so as I don't disappoint you all. I have to bring up the gold issue beyond the mace. I just dropped mining for enchanting like I was debating for a while. Having spent so much to level it again, I am now under 10kg again, and was wondering how best to recoup.

So I know some of the tricks on what to make with JC (my other prof) and disenchant to sell mats. But you can't flood the market with tons and tons of dust and essence.

So I heard about a epic item you can buy from Wyrmrest temple rep gal, and DE for abyss crystals. I tried something similar with an epic item from another vendor and it didn't work. Has anyone else found something similar? Or would any of you rep capped enchanters be willing to goto the Wyrmrest temple and buy the item to test it out if you haven't already? Can't recall which item it was, but should be about 25g, maybe leather belt or something.

Just go farm Ramparts/Blood Furnace and make anywhere from 200-500g an hour.

You can easily pull 200g an hour just from vendor trash and cloth. Plus green BoE items with useful stats (bandit, sorcerer, etc.) will usually go anywhere from 10-50g on the AH, due to their usual level requirement of 57-58, as people will pay that much for them to get their toon Outland level gear so they don't have to start Outland sporting eagle and monkey gear or trash Sunken Temple blues, etc. So if you have some luck with those dropping (which isn't uncommon), you'll pull way more than 200g an hour.

Went over this before though, just a reminder that the gold will pour in farming here.

I don't keep up with the crafting market anymore so can't really give any advice there. I just go pwning when I need gold.

Pulling the insta-respawn trash in tempest keep over and over again for 72 hours at about 12g every 3 minutes. Not counting vendor shit. Thing is the trash has about 150k hps each and can definately kill you...so its far from easy.

At least thats how I read it...once again I think this is like the most painful way to make gold possible. I think I must have burned through running too many heroics, because I have enough emblems to buy just about anything I want for any class in terms of BOA. My shaman that I'm leveling at the moment has 5 items, and about 3 other alts have the chest/shoulders.

In a related story, Mr. T (Laurence Tureaud) actually stayed at the Hilton I was managing. He comes across as extremely down to earth and freakishly polite. He took the time to sign autographs and even holding the door open for some people just walking up to the hotel.
