Let’s just take Cuba for the sake of simplicity. Cuba has state-funded healthcare for all citizens, state-funded higher education for all citizens, food subsidies, and guaranteed basic income for all citizens.

Back there is just one thing that doesn’t quite make sense to me that I’m hoping you can help me with... If socialism and communism is so great, how come every year thousands of Cubans are risking their lives to seek asylum in America on little dinghy boats? I mean they got “free” healthcare, food, housing, higher education, and universal basic income over there. Do they not know how good they have it?
