For them, this is not a trade war but instead using the leverage we have of our massive American market to correct course. The postwar (WW2) strategy of lopsided trade agreements is over. Trump’s strategy has been successful as evidenced by many nations dropping/reducing their tariffs on the U.S. and commuting to other terms that benefit our country. A few, like the EU, are holding out and have chosen the hard way.
