Yes that is a company that makes KNITTING BAGS that not only promised to stop making handbags with the name of "Namaste" because the word has nothing to do with knitting (???), but they literally apologized to people (as they said specially BIPOC and people in the South Asian community) for daring to use that word to begin with.
It never ends. Nothing is safe. This is why you never give in to the outrage mob because it just emboldens them and with everyone caving left and right lately the outrage mob is going after everyone, even a company that makes knitting bags of all things isn't safe from their terror.
Keep on thinking renaming things solves anything, morons.
The "Namaste" thing isn't new. Yoga in general in the US has been under pressure for several years over the Americanization/appropriation aspect. I belong to several Yoga groups on FB and shit can get pretty divisive among those that do Yoga for fitness, as a hobby, to stretch and die hard Yoga folks who surprisingly are hate filled to those who don't do Yoga the way they do Yoga and are thus the appropriators.
