Seriously what do people bitch about next? Because let's face it, it never stops. There will never be a point in time when the outrage mob is satisfied because the outrage mob only exists to be outraged.

Taking all bets! What will be the next inoffensive object/name to go!
The Cleveland "Browns" - How the hell BLM isn't protesting that one I'll never understand.

The Cincinnati "Reds" - I mean, everyone knows what that dog whistle is about.

The Portland "Fire" - Portland's not on fire! I object! Nothing to see here folks move along.

The Miami "Sol" - Cultural appropriation.

Rack Room Shoes - Implies and conjures up images of torture used to oppress people across the world by the Vatican.

The BBC - Everyone knows there is only one meaning for that, and the WWE has shown the way.

Man I could go all night. This is fun. I should work for one these organizations, they're missing so many obvious ones.

This genuinely made me laugh... and really wish Snyder had the balls to do it. Just for the laughs, because it would be hilarious.

Honestly I can see these two being up next on the chopping block.

I bet Notre Dame's "Fighting Irish" will be in their sights soon enough too. But not because it's offensive to Irish people, but rather because "Fighting Irish" isn't "inclusive" enough.

Thank you for your message! After a handful of chats from members within our community and in the South Asian communities, here's what we began to understand. The use of the word Namaste is a traditional greeting in India and is frequently misused in our western culture. (1/3)
As in our case, knitting has little to do with Indian culture and has almost no connection to the origin of the term. When it was brought to our attention that we were using the term out of context, we too felt taken aback. (2/3)
But, after some research, and moreso, listening to the voices within our own community, we understood that it wasn't our place to continue to use a word for our own benefit - especially when those around us were feeling minimized with it's use. (3/3)
Yes that is a company that makes KNITTING BAGS that not only promised to stop making handbags with the name of "Namaste" because the word has nothing to do with knitting (???), but they literally apologized to people (as they said specially BIPOC and people in the South Asian community) for daring to use that word to begin with.

It never ends. Nothing is safe. This is why you never give in to the outrage mob because it just emboldens them and with everyone caving left and right lately the outrage mob is going after everyone, even a company that makes knitting bags of all things isn't safe from their terror.

Keep on thinking renaming things solves anything, morons.

The "Namaste" thing isn't new. Yoga in general in the US has been under pressure for several years over the Americanization/appropriation aspect. I belong to several Yoga groups on FB and shit can get pretty divisive among those that do Yoga for fitness, as a hobby, to stretch and die hard Yoga folks who surprisingly are hate filled to those who don't do Yoga the way they do Yoga and are thus the appropriators.

Appropriation in a negative aspect is such a stupid concept.

Since when is it offensive to want to borrow from other cultures?

I am with you on that one. I love harem pants, tams, yoga and BJJ.

Sidenote if you ever want to meet a group of hate filled people, join an Alpaca group (literally any one) and post any one of the following and watch the flame ignite:

    1. I only have 2 alpaca's is that okay?
    2. Can alpaca's live with goats?
    3. I use alpaca's as herd guardians, cool right?

Most actual Native Americans don't give a shit about the Redskins name.

Like usual, this is just a bunch of pasty white liberals being offended on behalf of a group of people who aren't actually offended because they think it gives their meaningless lives purpose.
