I'm so glad I don't really interact with anyone in the game outside of helping when dead or asking for healing from time to time. I don't have to get rolled up into this cry baby shit. As for all the posts I just read through, I have no idea what happened, why it happened or when it all happened. I don't even know the GMs, players or groups named in the posts - I recognize a few names from seeing them in game, but that's about it. I also avoid discord for the most part. I frequent 3 topics on there and that's it.....I can't even find useful information on it when I search for keywords because discord blows. I miss the old official forums, but I'm one of the few that does.

I honestly stopped RPing years ago due to a stupid fucking mechanic change that made my RPing so much harder to do without jumping through hoops that didn't even guarantee good results for my needs. I said fuck it. Took a break for a while, came back and just enjoy the game for what I get out of it now and not what everyone else wants.

I like to build these odd mutant builds, see how far I can get and have fun with it......

Right now I'm still trying to figure out the best training path forward for another build now that he's right at that level 20 point of finalizing stats/skills.

I miss the old official forums, but I'm one of the few that does.

I don't necessarily miss the old forums, they were a mess after all, I just miss forums in general. Like if they just updated the old forums it would have been great.

The problem with Discord is that people are chatting in real time, so often times every little thing that comes to someone's head they will just go ahead and post, then 2+ people get into a side conversation and what was once a conversation about useful and relevant information is now just a long drawn out semi-on-topic conversation filled with nothing but emojis or people typing 'lol' so it becomes difficult to find useful information. And I'm not shitting on people for having a real time conversation in chat room type place such as Discord, that is what it is for after all, just explaining why I miss forums sometimes.

Probably unrelated but possibly not because I only skimmed through Dendrum's posts, but all I know is a handful of people got super butthurt with some rage quitting altogether a week or 2 ago because they weren't being allowed to call people Nazis and bigots in the GS Discord Off-Topic channel.

And by super butthurt, I mean like going full Karen and demanding to speak to the manager. And by manager I mean the manager of Discord itself.

Which is just all kinds of hilarious. These are the same people that left the PC because there wasn't any moderation, fled to the Discord because they wanted moderation, literally demanded moderation, and now they are surprised because they are being moderated.

Surprisingly inaccurate! The butthurt party consisted of a GM going full Karen, then lying that Discord's actual Admins were requiring them to moderate specific things, then banning people who called the GM out for lying. I won't name any names, but it rhymes with "Itzel is a crusty, power tripping taint."
