So you are ok with police firing at unarmed civilians in protests and riots and murdering them. Got it.




No one was behind the police other than more police. She was unarmed. No one in the crowd was armed. So, by your logic, it's ok to murder unarmed people who are protesting, pushing at barriers and so on, even when no other people are in danger. Got it.

And before either of you come back with some bullshit about how you aren't saying that, make no mistake, that is EXACTLY what you are saying, without reservation.

I’m saying it was a chaotic situation, the police likely had no idea whether she was armed or not, and her behavior was violent. A reasonable person may assume that the threat of serious bodily injury was imminent. When it comes to these grey areas where you and I can Monday morning quarterback all the details but law enforcement has to make a split second decision in the moment, I tend to give the benefit of the doubt to the police especially when they gave her every opportunity to avoid this outcome with repeated lawful orders to stop.

Make no mistake…I don’t celebrate this woman’s death either. It’s a tragic unfortunate outcome. I’m not saying the cop that shot her was a hero, but given the totality of circumstances in that situation I believe he was justified in using deadly force. Call me a boot licker or siding with the left or whatever you want. My morals and call to reason doesn’t change just because of what side of the political spectrum this woman is associated with.
