Tucker better be careful... he's going against the wishes of the political ruling class and will end up getting JFK'd.

Another embarrassing day for House Republicans.

House GOP fails to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas

Impeachment effort fails: The GOP-led House failed to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, a stunning defeat and embarrassment for Republican leadership. The vote was 214-216, with several Republicans joining Democrats in voting against the resolution.

How we got here: The House Homeland Security Committee voted to advance impeachment articles last week claiming Mayorkas has committed high crimes and misdemeanors for his handling of the southern border, even though constitutional experts have said the evidence does not reach that high bar. Republicans could only afford to lose a handful of votes tonight on the House floor and they were unable to garner enough support after eleventh-hour absences and defections.

Border bill expected to fail: Meanwhile, a $118 billion bipartisan border deal and foreign aid package is now on track to fail as GOP infighting threatens to steamroll any congressional response to the border. President Joe Biden blamed former President Donald Trump, saying he had derailed a painstakingly negotiated bill.

Wow! I look really smart today for having posted this earlier..

Meanwhile, there's a stirring in the Capitol of actual governing. It's a fragile critter in a very strange place.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley faced an embarrassing result in Nevada's GOP primary on Tuesday, with Silver State voters technically selecting none of the candidates on the ballot to win the Republican race.
Here's what that means: Nevada allowed voters to back a specific candidate or effectively pick none of the White House hopefuls. That option received more support than Haley in the Republican primary. Former President Donald Trump was not on the ballot, as he's participating in the state's GOP-run caucus on Thursday.

In before Nikki takes a victory lap, says she is gaining momentum, and tweets more fake support letters.
