The current law clearly states that sexual orientation "DOES NOT" include pedophilia... so why would they/them/her/she/he/it be trying to get that specific bit of language removed, and pass a whole bill about it?
Because they do it piece by piece... in 3 years or so you would see some other thing changed or put in... then 3 years later something else tossed in... and before you know it, it's perfectly fine that a 30 year old teacher is banging their 10 year old student... because it's their "sexual orientation"...
