I think people are sick of the crap. California is the poverty capital of the nation. There's a good chance a Republican governor will be elected this year.

I think a lot of people are seeing that liberal policies bring disaster and don't work. Perhaps they may not see themselves as Republicans but they may vote that way to get something new/different.

CA is doing pretty good. It's effectively a nation on the global scale of things.

Liberal policies seem to be holding up pretty well. Kansas, Wisconsin, Mississippi are all fucked because they ran the conservative experiment, the deep red south is like the 3rd world and our national debt is growing bigly under trump.
