Each week new legislation is introduced in an attempt to expand medical and recreational marijuana. Vermont will likely be the first state to legalize recreational MJ through their own congress, perhaps followed by Michigan. Those that can't manage to pass in that manner will have their chance come 2016, which should see another slew of legalizations.

With so much bullshit being flung at legal weed, the worry over edible marijuana is one of the very few things which stick. Lets address the most rational of these concerns by moving potent edibles behind the counter, covering them with warnings, and requiring signatures and a lecture on risks from your local cashier. It might actually save 1 or 2 lives out of the millions who will consume the product. That's not all that terrible, is it?
Aren't they already behind counters? I know many of the edibles are now sold in child proof containers.
