Countries who emulate American exceptionalism successfully, especially when building upon foreign investments, can be both flattering and terrifying, forcing us to look in the collective corporate mirror. Right now Im thinking of Chinas steel market and the current Chinese hydrotechnology projects in Nepal. Both examples could be described as reclusive corporate entitlement. The projects in Nepal bring to mind Monsanto with the rainforests. This example especially, speaks to the deeper point of corruption which some people in this thread are referencing.
