More Obamacare fuckups

Some people have used the VA as an example of bad government run health care as a reason to avoid a single payer system. I am pointing out how the government paying for something and the government running it aren't mutually exclusive.

The problem with Government single payer is that it really is socialism. Since they would be the biggest buyer of medical services, and they will have to be "within budget", they will dictate to dr's and hospitals what they will pay. Then they will use their power as the government to force those dr's and hospitals to take the insurance, or not be allowed to practice.

Imagine you are a Dr. And the Government tells you that you have to take 30$ for a patient visit, even if it costs YOU 45$ for that time. Then they say that if you don't accept the 30$, you can't practice.

While some may think that's a great idea, and a way to reduce costs... that's now how a free society works.
