    Fair enough. I'm curious what http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/...nate-forecast/ will do to the act. Will it become overplayed as more people start getting actual coverage, or will Republicans glory in legislative success by striking the bill down?

    With a full Republican Congress but not a veto proof Congress, the Republicans would be in an interesting situation. They have to be wary of becoming Newt Gingrich 2.

    I don't see it going anywhere for a couple of years, it likely hinges on who becomes the next president.

    It might honestly be better for the Republicans in 2016 if they hold off on overturning it to hammer that next candidate with. There could be an interesting veto/don't veto game from Obama if they don't though. I wonder if we'll see 30+ attempts to defund it now.

    It's a good news bad news deal for them. The good news is that lots of people still hate it. Obviously, it's easier to tear something down than build something new, and they are capitalizing on this big time. That's not what's really relevant though. What is relevant is that midterms are a loser for the Prez (especially a Dem) and the GOP is in a position to win big this fall by hammering Obamacare. The bad news is that all the GOP plans are basically the same thing so they run the risk of scandal by repealing it and replacing it with essentially the same thing. More good news though is that they don't have to get to drastic. They can hammer ACA for the votes, tweak it a bit to say they did something to fix it, then take credit and carry that into 2016 elections.

    ROFLMAO you sound EXACTLY like a child trying to get his sibling or friends in trouble so you wont have to face punishment alone.

    The only difference in this scenario is I am neither of those. And with that, I rest my case.

    You definitely back that up with the all caps raging.

    You could join the adults and suggest your opinion on whether the impending midterm will lead to the bill being overturned or not and the implications on 2016 or you could paste in some more chain emails.

    Lol...raging??? Its a forum that's based on the written word. The caps were added for emphasis. I have to do that sometimes when talking to liberals else they will lose focus and miss the forest for th.....HEY LOOK A SQUIRREL!.

    Only a child would read non-existent emotions into them.

    I can confidently assure you I have zero emotions where you're concerned whatsoever.

    If the democrats lose control of the Senate, expect more than the Bill to be overturned. The only reason impeachment proceedings haven't been started against Obama before now is because it would be political suicide against a Senate majority.

    Nixon resigned his office for ONE lie. Obama surpasses that on a slow day before eating breakfast and would have been impeached just 20 short years ago. Thats how far we've fallen as a country in such a short period of time and its almost entirely due to so-called "progressives" on both sides of the fence with liberals leading the charge.

    My turn to ask a question;

    How do you feel about your doctor asking you if you have guns in your home as part of a routine physical?

    You might find this politer discourse you claim to seek if you talk to people like people.

    I suspect the Republican Party will go less far than the Democrats did if they only control Congress and not the Presidency. Both parties have also failed to achieve important policy goals when they controlled both. It is some of the same principle that makes them squish libertarians.

    While I remain largely anti gun control I believe that HIPAA ought to be waived to deny insane people guns. That would cleanly solve that final question.
