If the democrats lose control of the Senate, expect more than the Bill to be overturned. The only reason impeachment proceedings haven't been started against Obama before now is because it would be political suicide against a Senate majority.

Nixon resigned his office for ONE lie. Obama surpasses that on a slow day before eating breakfast and would have been impeached just 20 short years ago. Thats how far we've fallen as a country in such a short period of time and its almost entirely due to so-called "progressives" on both sides of the fence with liberals leading the charge.

How do you feel about your doctor asking you if you have guns in your home as part of a routine physical?

Even after I saw the name difference, my brain still insists that it's Ravenstorm.

While I remain largely anti gun control I believe that HIPAA ought to be waived to deny insane people guns. That would cleanly solve that final question.

I don't think so, due to potential political fallout/immediate declarations of "Wolverines!" I do think that it isn't crazy to not want crazy people to have guns. We already do it to felons.

You guys should discuss where this question comes from and why it's coming up now. Asking parents of young children about guns in the home is the same as asking them about chemicals kept under the kitchen sink or pharmaceuticals on the counter. Sometimes kids eat mommies pills, spill the bleach and shoot their sister.

Guns are such a fucking heated issue in this country that even the Dr. can't ask simple questions which just might save the lives of some kids.

Conservative patient walks into liberal anti-gun doctor office.

Doctor asks patient if they own guns.

Patient asks what that has to do with his health care.

Doctor determines that patient is a conservative, or at least pro-gun.

Doctor says, "Based on what you told me, it appears that you are mentally unstable and I will have to report this to the gun control authorities, who will be along shortly to take your guns before you go shoot up a building. You also owe me $800 for your visit, because your Obamacare coverage won't pay for anything until you've spent $5,000 out of pocket first."

But I'm sure something like that happening would be completely impossible, especially with determining what constitutes being "crazy" being for the most part a subjective thing.

Why guns? Do doctors ask about chemicals under the sink?

It's a heated issue in this country because of so much ignorance about guns in this country.
