Yea, to me, the short white skirt seems out-of-place. Then again, you may be just wearing a sweater over your original outfit to keep warm? (kinda hard for me to tell).

You think that skirt is short?!
The skirt is cream, not white, though it's hard to tell in that poorly-lit picture. At any rate, I got a bunch of compliments on it and I liked it! Also, no, that's the sweater I was wearing with the skirt... cobalt sweater, cream skirt, brown tights (I find black tights with a cream skirt too harsh), and then the brown boots.
Now I am going to post ALL of my outfits for critique. I like that it's the dudes with the sartorial opinions!

Truthfully I don't have any pokemon games either. I just got it last month so I could play Fire Emblem, but this streetpass functionality is kind of creepy. I must be nearby to some little kids on the subway and then their miis jump onto my 3DS the next time I open it and their "last game played" is always pokemon and then weird notes of theirs populate in my drawing/notes app. I just want some fire emblem teams to jump on there you know?

My hair is more of a medium brown and it gets kinda reddish undertones or whatever in the summertime. That's my natural color. In my old PC profile pic I had dyed hair. It was like a reddish orange from when it had faded out from purple.

I have a couple of pinstripe suits; blue, not black. Not much call to wear a suit anymore though since I mostly work with farmers and food co-op folks these days. The custom pinstripe probably doesn't fit me anymore anyway, which is sad.

haha...I deny any alcohol bein in that drink. And I never wear black suits (reminds me I've been to too many funerals where I had to wear one)...I think I've every color for work but black.
Black Pinstripes are for wall-street and mobsters imo. The one guy in our office who wears a black suit with white pinstripes is a prat (always wears a red tie and has the red pocket kerchief to boot).
I go with a large variety of greys, brown/tans, and olive and a few blues...you can get more subtle texture in the suit depending on the stitching material which I think comes off better. I never even used to give a damn before this job.

This is why I don't go to Brooklyn. I have a friend out there who I've known since I was 5, he went to NYU undergrad and grad school, and does all sorts of this hipster douchiness all the time, but more the homeless activist type. He once invited me to a "spontaneous pillow fight" where supposed you were supposed to be in BK at 8 with a pillow, a mass text would go out, and a bunch of hipster douchebags would go take over a street corner and hit each other with pillows.
I would almost rather Brooklyn be the Brooklyn of Jay Z's childhood. They don't even call Myrtle Avenue "Murder Ave" any more.

Everything is fucking pink. The walls are pink. The shelves have pink. The floor is black with pink speckles. The towels are pink. My clothes for work are either all black or black with pink trim. The chandeliers are crystal so no pink there but plenty of froofiness. I try to focus on the dogs and forget that I've been dipped in Pepto Bismol. You could pump Bret Hart's theme music! Or just generally put people in the Sharpshooter, they'll figure it out.

Both vests are suede, shirts are silk. yeah, I suck at dressing.. but at least it's an improvement over what I used to dress like...

Yes.. I made the shirt myself.. with that stuff you could draw on clothes with. My wardrobe may still suck, but I think it's an improvement.
Sorry.. no cell phone pics, as there are no big mirrors at home or work, and I try not to take pics of myself. So these were from recent parties.. except the last.

And no I don't have the glasses from when I was a kid. The others I have someone, but I got new ones just recently.
As for the book.. I am usually anti-social at parties, I don't drink and such. That night I was the designated driver as well, and took everyone home, except the girl, her I took to my place.
Also,I take a book, sometimes two, everywhere I go. Which comes in handy, since onetime my friends car broke down on the way back from Cedar Point and we had to wait 6 hours.

Me too. The book and the anti-social part, anyway. I drink heavily. Not often, but heavily. But yeah, I take a book and/or my laptop, which has many books on it, everywhere I go. You never know when you'll have a couple of minutes free to read instead of interact with other human beings. I mean that sincerely.

I don't like the control that parent companies have over the contents of their ebook readers. Also, my laptop is actually a netbook with a large HD. Whoa whoa whoa. I'm an introvert but I never said I was smarter than them. Or that I'm above social interaction. It just stresses me out or, at the very least, is mentally and physically draining. Some people get energized by personal interaction and some people don't. I don't.
Plus, it's not necessarily when I'm with friends but any circumstance in which I'm presented with the choice of reading or talking with strangers or people I'm not absolutely elated to be around. For instance, I know lots of people want to get chatty with cab drivers or hairdressers or gynecologists (Stef) but if I can whip out a book instead and let them go on about their business in silence, I find it much easier. Taking a half hour car trip across town and someone else is driving? Prime opportunity to read a couple of chapters. Lunch break? I can read while I eat a lot more easily than I can talk and eat at the same time.
Doing something other than talking also decreases the likelihood of me offending someone unintentionally. I have been told that if I were a dwarf from Snow White, I would be Inappropriate Dwarf. I can rein it in when I need to, of course, because I'm an adult and a professional of some sort but you never know when I'll have a brain-mouth disconnect.

depends on the type of party, but unless everyone knows ya I think it's just about the perception others have at someone who comes to a party and breaks out the ol' book lol. Course if you explain with a friendly smile it's because you're the designated driver, then maybe they'll get it, but I'd imagine most would just stick to their assumptions and not even ask. That was directed at TheE, who basically said that he reads because the conversation he encounters at parties is apparently too unsophisticated for his tastes.
Or that I'm above social interaction. It just stresses me out or, at the very least, is mentally and physically draining. Some people get energized by personal interaction and some people don't. I don't.
I don't, either. But if we were hanging out and you whipped out a book, I would be a little miffed/confused. It just seems like a way to deliberately keep yourself apart from the group (and above it, IMO, though I doubt that would be your intent).
Taking a half hour car trip across town and someone else is driving? Prime opportunity to read a couple of chapters. Lunch break? I can read while I eat a lot more easily than I can talk and eat at the same time.
The former, I would find pretty rude; the latter, I do myself.

Ok, as an aside, I used to walk home from work, at 2am - 4am, depending how long I got stuck there, while reading a book, in a 3 piece suit. And this was through gang neighborhoods. Generally, I don't give two shits what people think when I whip out a book and read. Frankly, I get nervous and anxious when I am around people, and reading helps me deal. I really didn't get much read that night at the party, as we were at a bowling alley, and I was kicking everyone's ass. I read when bowling cause it takes my mind off the game. I notice my average generally goes up 10-15 points when I read. Which considering where it starts at, is damn good.

Well, in a way, yes. Me reading a book prevents me from saying something stupid. Then again, the parties I generally get invited to don't have people standing around discussing the virtues of a progressive tax system, or deficit spending. They usually tend to be more along the lines of the kind where at some point, someone is taking off their shirt and dancing on a table.

No. Not even close. There is two reasons I get invited to these parties...
I don't drink. And I have a massive booze collection.
Long story short, I don't drink booze, I buy it and put it on the bar so I can look at it and say, "I don't need to drink you". Results of loosing a grandpa to booze when I was 5.

You have a very strange sense of logic. You lost your grandfather to alcohol so in return you hang out with people, who apparently are drinkers, and you like to provide them with liquor. I don't see how any of that makes sense.
