You all suck.Even me? :(
Apparently this has turned into the diethx and msconstrew blog.I love, love, love outfits that consist of a plain colored skirt and b/w everywhere else. Drastically reducing the probability space gives you so much freedom, Orwell had it right.

We never saw before that diethx shirts have 3/4 sleeves! I like the way they didn't start the gradient at the same vertical position, that would probably look dumb, this way is more faux-layery and nice.

Latrinsorm

You and Wesley Morris, huh? I like black undershirts with other overshirts and black everything else because white undershirt is too black and white cookie for me; all the white goes together, all the black goes together - no! A single white item becomes a splash, a self-propelled wheel, a first motion, a sacred Yes, the whir of the string firing an arrow towards the overman.

It's still very cold here and I feel very bloated today, so it's sweater dress and leggings for me. I was watching the weather on the news last night, and they were saying that almost every day this month has been 20 degrees colder than the averages for March. This is ridiculous. It's almost April in Atlanta and it will just get into the 50s today.

Well, maybe that means that the summer won't be totally brutal. A girl can dream right?

Speaking of rings, I went to Kohl's this past weekend to get some camis and I went rifling through their sale rings, as I love the crap out of much of their jewelry. Can you believe that they don't sell any size 5 or 6s at all? At least, I couldn't find a single one.

Also! I found these today and I think I want to head to ON this weekend to find them. These would be perfect for spring, substituting the cardigans I currently wear, on particularly warm days.

Bearing in mind that I am an especially timid moth, the styling and material strike me as WOW enough already, the bright colors might be a bridge too far? And $15!! That's a steal and a half.

without msconstrew being here to post. (She needs to get home already)On that there is universal accord, except perhaps from the formerly godless Cubans. This Cuba has a new order. It has a new god(dess). (Goddesses who get blitzed and fall down stairs are still goddesses. Fact.)

I say with no judgment: do you feel like the heightened waistline of the pure black and white combo is fighting the crop cardigan? ..and not even sassiness can overcome the dissonance? Something is happening here; are we not trembling on the precipice? ..perhaps an unwaisted dress or gown? I could be wrong.

If I may also say, I fondly remember a sleek silk jacket in Gemstone, and if I had ever imagined it as an image it would have looked precisely like that (yes, as cotton, my unconscious is too bourgeois to imagine silk).

Finally, diethx, I adore deep color nail polish that is not quite black, and I would be so happy if you have pursued the same. Oh! and if the shade is purplest purple, it is surely time for high fives.

Out of morbid curiosity, what does your prescription measure at? I'm idly wondering if I have finally found someone who has a worse prescription than I did before I got laser surgery. If I remember correctly, I was -9 in one eye, -9.25 in the other.

I know worse prescriptions *exist* mind you, I have just never *run* into one, online or in person.

Um, no. This one. Don't be a complete pussy. You're still close enough to take a train up. It's like less than two hours on Amtrak. Train, hotel for one night, train. I've met quite a few people from GS and the PC and none of them have tried to kidnap me or anything else. It's usually liquor and/or a meal, Fash'lo'nae resurrections of random strangers on the sidewalk, more liquor, Asian drag queens, shitty bars that don't want to have to wash five shot glasses and probably more liquor.

One does not simply walk into canada.

Yeah, I think most drive!

Seriously though. You'd want to rent a hotel room, and have someone drive you. Least that's what my friend did.

I like to think that the lighting is accurate here and you really are that pale. (In a good way!)

It is, and I am. :)

Thanks! I realize the lighting sucks again, but I was in a rush YET AGAIN. I live with the tiniest bully on the planet, which means I do not sleep well and throughout the night anymore, so I can't get up in the morning. I've been getting to work at like 8:30 for 2 weeks now. :(

Anyway, the sweater is like a blue-green (more blue) and the boots are brown.

WHERE IS YOURS??? :(

And I am off of work today so no one needs to see my busted up hoodie and river shorts.

It is kind of a very cool pixelated, large-print houndstooth. It may be my favorite new skirt. It would be 100% awesome if it was a pencil skirt.

Is that the skirt that is white but really pink but really champagne? Whatever color it is, it looks really nice with the green and brown, very natural vibe. Oh, but it turns out the sweater is blue? I GIVE UP @ colors.

Well, my ankle brace makes it impossible for me to wear heels OR tall boots. So you get me in flats with knee-high socks. I always wanted to be a Japanese schoolgirl...

What I'm wearing:

Closeup of my necklace because I thought it pulled the outfit together. ("That rug really pulled the room together, man.")

I have heels and I would wear them, but I don't like showing my leg tattoo in the office (not because of it being a tattoo, but because I don't really like it anymore and hope to get it removed one day - it didn't turn out as nice as I was hoping it would, plus the idea was kind of dumb even if my 20 year old brain didn't think so).

I just reconnected with the friend who did all my ink- I told him I'd love to get some new work done to replace the old but that I never have any money. He said "Don't even worry about it, you can pay me whatever, whenever. Let's just get you some new ink". !!! This is my new best friend.

I have a more formal event to attend soon. Not black tie or anything but dressier than my usual jeans and t-shirt or work place casual, so I'm raiding my closet on my day off to try to prepare for it and I thought I'd take pictures while I was at it. Unfortunately it is all for naught. I cannot share my vast and underutilized collection of black and shiny or black and snake skin or shiny black snake skin high heels because my dressier outfits are, of course, mostly or completely black and you can't see a single detail. Not even the fabulous beaded lace blouse really shows its awesomeness.

Well, my ankle brace makes it impossible for me to wear heels OR tall boots. So you get me in flats with knee-high socks. I always wanted to be a Japanese schoolgirl... This is a REALLY cute look for you! Both on its own merits and it makes you seem a little less intimidating (from how smart and pretty you are). If I didn't know you I would definitely make furtive attempts at conversation while you were wearing that outfit, attempts that would be reduced to inaudible mumbling vs. boots or painfully aroused silence vs. heels.
Fairly boring today. Just a black v-neck sweater.Simple outfits are really the best. I'm trying to resist the urge to keep a spreadsheet chronicle of your outfits for "oh, I LOVE that skirt!" moments (I LOVE that skirt!), but I think now that I've said that out loud the creepiness gate has been passed anyway.
The ladies get all the fun boots! There are no gender police at Payless, and a double blind study has confirmed their hypothesis: it does feel good to pay less. Food for thought, no?
Grey polo, dirty mirror @ work, boom:Wow do you work out?
Nevermind, I found a black dress with details that show up. Still can't appreciate the glory of the shoes but oh well. Still no pictures of the blue hair until May.Yay! That's really pretty, I take it that you have a black on black parasol to pair it with? Actually, what are those Japanese umbrellas called? I tried googling it and the third recommendation was "Japanese umbrella monster", which works for me, and led me to this delightful image (http://acreativeuniverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/illustration-totoro-anime-monster-japanese.jpg) involving a primary school student wielding a sawed-off and an umbrella. I recommend against the shotgun, a wood stock would just clash horribly.
Day off.Brother, I think you have taken the crown for worst lighting. Also it kind of looks like you are wearing jeans with no belt...? I don't think I need to tell you for what duration the consequences will change.

Thank you. You guys are sweet liars. But after trying on virtually all the appropriate skirts and dresses I own, I've come to the conclusion that I just look better in pants suits so I'm going to see how I can finagle that at the event. Maybe a sequiny top. But the only one I own is pale gold. Blargh. Stupid occasions.

I own no parasols, Japanese or otherwise. That dress was just one of the few options I was trying on that had details visible in crappy lighting with a terrible years-old iPod camera.
