Just a historical side note from my time here: Most of those who sign up for events, especially limited, higher cost events are not occasional subscribers. Most are premium/platinum and the basic subscribers that do get in tend to be the more dedicated players. The fact that any got tickets probably means that everyone in the P/P category that wanted one got one. Or they couldn't make the one solitary single signup time.

It's something I'll have to think about for future events. Taking into consideration the feedback we got from previous events is what I did for this event. This is the first pay event I'm overseeing. Everything I've done so far I've talked over with PM Solomon and APM Sirina.

That doesn't even say that Solomon and Sirina AGREE with him, he just talked it over with them.

Unless of course you now know the will and minds of Solomon and Sirina.

Travelling from Teras to somewhere else just to hunt a couple camps with your friend is pretty annoying. Again, it is a PERK that premium has. Well, the thing is, since Android won't answer a question that of course would make him look like an idiot (apparently it's real easy to do so), here is the answer.

Basic subscribers can ALWAYS try to go to a festival. Premium perk or not.

It's called hope there are tickets left over, or become premium.

Since Android can't seem to answer questions, and you can. Mind telling me exactly what is wrong with this?

The tickets cost 75$. Premium discount makes that 67.50, saves 7.50. Generally a premium upgrade would cost 20$. So for 12.50 more then what they pay for the ticket, they get to be premium for 2 weeks, and enjoy those perks, AND get a chance at a ticket.

So are we saying, that a person that KNOWS a festival is desired, and will sell out, should NOT have to pay the same thing as everyone else to get a shot at it? That's one rub that some can't get over. I am PAYING for early access to the tickets. Not some tickets, all tickets. Basic are not paying anything. I am PAYING to compete with other premium people for limited events, I am NOT paying to compete with basic accounts for the same thing. Basic surely isn't paying anything to compete with premium for ANY tickets. They get what's left over, as it should be.

I just don't get it. It's a LIMITED EDITION. If you pay to be a member of a band's fan club, and they always reserve the first 5 rows for members of the fan club to buy first. Would you think it's perfectly fine for them to suddenly say, you know what, it isn't "fair" to those people that are not willing to pay extra. Lets give them the same chance at half of these tickets.

Couple of reasons.

Creates more demand and makes sure it (and future events) sell out.

Gives staff a reasonable amount of items and services to create. If it was unlimited, the complaints about not enough Major/Minor services going out would be skyhigh.

They're like your work supervisor, they only care if you show up to work, they don't care if you actually do any work while there or if you do a good job, just show up. So they don't actually have to do any work themselves.

The vouchers will be good for any run. You must present the voucher to the merchant. They are good for MAJOR services. The free ticket is only good for the run it states (but if it can't work for you, please email me ASAP, we're talking the day of you opening it).

Oh, I might have not been clear. Anyone can open them. I just meant if you don't want to go to this event at all. Like you have no interest. Then it would be wise to pass them off. I will be monitoring the account that find them and comparing them to the accounts signed up. So if I need to add more, I will.

We won't be doing this, because then the ticket will be passed off or sold. There is a lot more to be gained from this ticket when the runs are sold out. Plus, we want you to be surprised.

The vouchers aren't something you open. Just the envelope. Every envelope will look the same, no matter the tier (flier, voucher, or free ticket). It's once you open that up, will you know what you found. Please note, the absolute majority (talking 99.99%) will be the fliers.

So, due to popular request, we will try to offer an RtCF Lite. It will likely be the 3rd week of each month (June - Sept). It will just be the shops, grounds, and quest. There will be absolutely no merchants at this portion of the event. Shopping isn't going to be on the level of say, Ebon Gate, but there are over twenty planned for release. And to give a little teaser, the fusion shaman will be making a visit to Coraesine Field (but I don't believe any fusion equipment will be available).

Price is being worked out still, but it will be considerably cheaper than most pay events. This will have limited ticket sales as well. How many tickets is still being determined. I will post more information when I have it.

We are not preventing any Premium subscriber from gaining a ticket, as the block of tickets on the second day is not exclusive to Basic subscribers. We are simply honoring some feedback from previous events to open the playing field on attendance. Premium subscribers still have a higher likelihood at obtaining a ticket for this event, and we are still within our bounds of honoring Premium subscribers first shot at the tickets.

I understand this decision will not satisfy many of you who have voiced your opinion, as well as people who haven't had the chance or desire to discuss that decision here on the official forums. I will be addressing this new feedback in the planning of any future limited ticket event and weigh our options carefully at that time. But please note, anything I've gone over here has been discussed, approved, and released with the acknowledgment of my superiors. Under no circumstances do I make any of these decisions without their permission.

Basically, at some merchants, you can break down enhancive gear, and create orbs. Orbs carry a single trait (usually the highest from the enhancive gear). It then creates a non-crumbly orb.

Orbs hold the enhancive powers, and can be placed into socketed (fusion) equipment. So, take my 5x fusion composite bow (just as an example, which is for sale for 4.5m). That can hold ---Two--- fusion orbs in there. Adding the fusion orbs turns the composite bow into an enhancive composite bow, with the enhancives of your choosing. So, you can hand-pick two enhancive orbs to go in the bow (must be different). So you can add a +10 Dex orb and a +10 Ranged orb in there. You'd end up having/weilding/using/winning with a 5x composite bow with +10 Dex and +10 Ranged enhancives on it. This would pretty much make you win gemstone.

Orbs eventually lose charges, which can be recharged at the adventurer's guild. Now that Fixstats and Fixskills are worthless, the adventurer's guild points are free to use towards keeping stuff charged. After keeping the orb in there for a while, you'll also be able to swap it out. So if you decide that you're doing more spellcasting than bowing, you can always add a +10 Aura and +10 Mana recovery orb into the bow... The sky is the limit!

Furthermore, with RtCF and other merchants, it's not an exclusive quality. So previously, my 8x VHCP Doubles would have been the tits of gemstone, but now that fusion is out, You can make 8x VHCP doubles... with two fusion sockets. Mind... blown... Turning your already ridiculous armor, into ridiculous armor... which is enhancive...

So yeah... that's fusion.

(The scene: a semi-crowded Chez Simu restaurant. Some portly patrons walk in, sit at a table, and order from a speaker box.)

Patron A says, "I'll have a tall stack of pancakes smothered in maple syrup."

The other patrons all concur. This restaurant has such good pancakes they're almost addictive.

You hear the voice of the manager through the speaker saying, "Sorry, we don't serve maple syrup anymore."

The customers reply, "But we talked about this already, we LIKE maple syrup!"

The voice replies, "It's for your own good. You're all getting too fat."

The patrons grumble, but pat their stomachs and smile sheepishly. One, however, ate only the maple syrup. He says goodbye to the breakfast club, and, with a scowl at the kitchen, leaves.

(The scene: a very crowded Chez Simu restaurant. Some slightly overweight patrons arrive, squeeze into a table and order their pancakes.)

Patron A glances at his pancakes and yells into the kitchen, "Wait a minute, we used to get six pancakes and some margarine, I only see 2 pancakes here."

Chef Banthis comes out of the kitchen, "You're all still a bit too overweight. If you keep gaining weight you won't all fit in our restaurant, and besides it's unhealthy. You may die of a heart attack. We've cut down on your pancakes after Patron Edward was hauled away in a severely bloated state. It's for your own good, I assure you. Patron A looks around the room at the various tables. Some still have 5 pancakes, of course at the wrestler's table they ran out of pancakes years ago and have been sucking on their napkins and the kitchen just noticed. So, Patron A doesn't feel too horribly bad. Besides, all of the other restaurants in the area only serve cold dry granola for breakfast. Ewwww!

Patron Yuugal gets up, smashes his chair over the table, and leaves. Patrons A, B, C, D, etc, turn bright red with anger. They start all yelling into the kitchen at once, "We knew you were taking it away but we thought we'd get another topping!" The patrons start to eat the dry pancakes anyways, of course. They're addictive. But in between bites they yell "Why? Just tell us why?" into the kitchen.

Master Chef Banthis comes out of the kitchen, looking a bit harried. He states in a calm but curt manner, "I've sent off to the supplier for some ingredients to work on a strawberry topping, and some other things. I had to take away your margarine so the owner would see how upset you are with 2 pancakes and no topping."

The patrons interpret this to mean that the owners think all they need is 2 pancakes and no toppings. The crowd turns ugly as it realizes the 5 years Roast Beef was on the menu before the kitchen figured out how to make it.

Chef Ophion comes out of the kitchen, hands out the ingredients to margarine, and says, "The margarine we use is mostly water. Its taste is negligible."

"We've grown used to the taste! And besides, it helps wash down those measly 2 pancakes you left us with!" scream the patrons.

In between hurled insults and sincere pleading to the kitchen, someone asks where the waiters are. Everyone shrugs and goes back to screaming into the kitchen. Patron Wintermane hurls, "Take this pancake and shove it up your...!!"

This brings immediate response from Chef Ophion, who says with a weird look on his face (something like this: :/ ) "Fine. If you want your margarine so bad, have it. I'll just take away your pancakes."

The crowd gasps. Some point out that maybe Chef Ophion hasn't been getting enough fiber in HIS diet....

The next day, the patrons arrive to eat their two dry pancakes and yell into the kitchen some more. A few ask how long the strawberry preserves are really going to take.

Chef Banthis yells through the box, "You'll have them as soon as possible, I'm trying for the end of this weekend. I'm also trying to figure out how to make scrambled eggs but that takes a LOT longer."

The patrons cheer! They munch happily on their dry pancakes for another day, some content with the thought of the preserves, some waiting to see if these are going to be those awful diet preserves, the ones with too much saccharine. Patron Rtune decides his diet has been upset enough and says goodbye to the breakfast club. Many customers eat slowly that day, openly weeping over the loss of their breakfast buddy.

Suddenly the crowd goes quiet as Manager Fawn steps out from behind the kitchen door and begins to speak.

"If I hear one more insult against any patron or against my dear chefs, I'll take these napkins and stuff them in your mouths. These are great chefs and you know that or you wouldn't be eating their pancakes every day.

"My chefs do everything, cook, do dishes, vacuum, and clean the bathrooms. They're not here to talk to you. Please see the NorthPole.com address for our customer service department. They haven't said anything bad to you at all. Speak to them nicely. Those that did speak nicely, of course they didn't answer. They're chefs.

"As for the margarine, the original menu designer didn't WANT margarine on the menu, but the printer messed up. We finally decided to remove it, it never should have been there.

"Enjoy your meal."

A small voice in the back of the restaurant says, "But that menu was also designed before they took away the maple syrup and 4 pancakes...."

(The scene cuts to the kitchen, where 100 chefs are cooking pancakes happily, secure in the knowledge that they have the BEST pancakes in the world!)

Isn't there supposed to be a merchant there that sells potions you pour on your weapon to temporarily make undead bane weapons? I thought that I had read that amongst all the teasers.

The quest portion seems to be open as well in the lite version, so that, along with a few merchants and the orb maker could make it worthwhile for someone to go for a small price tag. He said it would be very cheap.

Oh Tisket...orbs are good for all those things that you find like some drake cudgel that has +10 to CM bonus...love the bonus but hate that weapon. You can make an orb for a fusion item and stick the orb in let's say your fusion bow..and have a bow that has +10 to CM bonus. Most fusion items come 2 slots off the shelf, with a few special ones having 3.

Yes, I believe to get a premium title it costs 6 months of premium subscription or 600 premium points. You get access to a bunch of them.

No, they were never billed as premium only. Premium just got to fulfill their desire to attend first. It's a LIMITED event. Hell, not even every premium person that wants to go is always able to. With 300, it is much more likely that all would, but not certain. It's all a matter of that evil word, "fairness". Nothing is ever fair. To make something "fair" you generally have to take something away from someone else. Which is perfectly fine for the person getting something, but usually sucks for those having something taken away.

Simu is just digital crack for most of us. I would say the majority of people who play have played sometime back in the 90s.

They know they have a product that people are mostly going to pay for until it is dead. People do leave the game but with the current population. Most people do come back in some time. Strangely the cycle of people quiting, and others who quit that have came back is sustaining the population. While not at peak lvls. It's definitly stable and has been for awhile.

Also doing limited releases make the game seem more popular then it really is. With 100 tickets selling out almost instantly it seems the demand is high, of they releases 1000 tickets and only 500 sold. It would look like there is not as much interest. Simple supply and demand.

Are they poorly run? Yes. But that doesnt mean everyone there sucks. I've had both pleasant and unpleasant experiances over my life with them. Though I have to say when I call in. I have always found the experiance top notch. Actually speaking to a real person is amazing in today's world for customer service (billing).

Yes, the unique flares that the script provides will stack just fine with normal flares. The weapons I'm selling off the shelf will have (awesome) flares, and will be eligible for this service.

I will have standard 4x Iasha weapons available for sale (tier 1) so if you win this service you can still get yourself a mace unlocked to tier 2, and boosted +5 with the unlock.


It also won't be eligible for just a +5 enchant. I do get why you're asking, but it comes down to that this is meant to be an unlocking service for these Iasha weapons, not just another enchanting service.

If I have multiple accounts (I do) and I want multiple tickets (I do), then why is it inconsiderate of me to attempt to get a second ticket? This is more efficient for me because it means I can have both characters there at once, I don't have to take multiple weekends to attend the same event twice, and I have every right to do so because I have multiple accounts. No, a 30 day trial account can't buy a fest ticket till it has a billed month of service. I am pretty sure of this. As I tried to attend a DR fest and it billed me the 15 for the free account, and the fest ticket cost.

I am however performing a well needed community service to attempt to buy tickets for others who are unavailable during the ticket windows, for this I charge a nominal fee. Everyone wins.
