Oh, cool. There are always exceptions to every breed, but It's my understanding that the German Rottweilers tend to have a dark chocolate brown color compared to the honey brown of the American Rottweiler. Is that your understanding as well?

From what I've read it is just slight size differences, the Germans usually being a tad bigger. I've kinda noticed my puppy is a bit larger than a slightly older one I saw at the pet store the other day, but theirs could also be the runt of the litter. The German version of the AKC has stricter breeding regulations than the AKC, so that may be a reason for the slight differences. The AKC also wants docked tails which.... No, I'm not going to do that.
