Methais, your dogs are adorable. Tisket, I love cross-eyed cats. Turbo is half siamese, so her eyes are only crossed half the time, and never that much.

All adorable animals! Gizmo 2. And Donkey is a cute name for a cat.

Yes she had her hernia surgery and after another month of stall rest she is finally able to go outside and run and actually be a horse. Her first show is June 9-11th in Athens Texas then next stop is the Palomino World Show in Tulsa.

Yeah i've got a few scars on my hands and forearms from my pooses, as they've both had health issues and neither like taking medicine and one ESPECIALLY FUCKING HATES when we take the carrier out cuz she's terrified of the vet. Luckily nothing like that at once, though. Usually it's just one or a couple of scratches that drew some very minor amount of blood.

Then again they have front and back claws.... so yeah, stop trying to anally probe that poor poose.

My boyfriend foolishly taught her to box as a form of playing when she was a puppy. Now she'll rear up on her hind legs and balance there as she takes a swing or five at you, then she tires of that and just flings her whole body at you like a rearing horse. And she's over seventy pounds! Gawd.

Lol, to get to my job I have to park then walk up a huge hill and past a few buildings. Today a huge Bernese came tearing out of one of the buildings and ran full throttle into me, knocking me over and then licking my face. Then as I was standing up it grabbed an end of my scarf and started tugging as if to help me stand, and proceeded to follow me all the way to the kitchen entrance and tried to get inside, giving me huge puppy dog eyes when I blocked him xD I'm now trying to convince my boyfriend that we need to get one.

I'm reminded of this one cat I had who would very slowly and carefully climb into my lap when I was eating. Like I wouldn't notice him if he did it in slow motion. Once he got close enough to whatever it was I was eating he would ever so slowly extend a paw with claws out to try to draw it to him. I'm convinced he really thought I wasn't noticing him. It was so funny to watch that I let him succeed a few times.

Yes, I know it was unsanitary! But god we laughed so much at him it was worth a few germs at the table.

This is the first one I have owned, but boy she is a quiet puppy. I stopped at Petsmart on the way home to pick up a harness etc and wanted to have them groom her <major kennel puppy smell> but they required a rabies and she isn't old enough for one BUT they say 4 months old?

She says bring her back once you get the rabies shot I said by then she will have a bath LOL I just thought while on my way home I would have them do it while the kids and I went to dinner.

She loves the TV and was completely entranced watching the Simpsons with the kids tonight. Now she is fast asleep in her kennel snoring away, and boy can she snore.

Idk when I groomed dogs in MI our shop always required either proof of shots or a vet's number to verify the dog was up to date. It was safer that way for the dogs & for us.

All the other grooming shops in town did the same & do here in NC also when I called around to see if anyone besides me was up for bathing a mastiff.

Oh, we do require proof of rabies vaccination (only rabies in the groom shop, everything else in the boarding facility and training classes), by official PetSmart policy. But I often break the rule as does everyone from the grooming manager on down, when they feel like it. I may regret it at some point but as long as I interact with the dog for a bit first, I accept 'em. I just ask them to bring it in next time.

I'm mostly guilty of breaking the rule when one of my favorite breeds walks in, which would be any of the bully breeds, all mastiffs, rottweilers, chows, redbone hounds, ridgebacks, or terriers other than soft-coated wheatens. I totally would have done the Frenchie. Or Kyra's mastiff, heh.

Ok, so about four weeks ago my house was broken into, and all our stuff stolen. In the chaos all three of my dogs were chased off, including my fifteen year old chow mix, who never ran off, and if she got out of the backyard some way, she'd just sit on the front porch until someone came home. She never came home, and we really believe she's likely passed on. We still have fliers out and an alert at all the shelters though. Ok..so anyway..our two little dogs found their way home, the Apso mix first, he came back with some horrible hair cut, they tried to shave all his hair off. He woke me up the next morning at like 2am barking. We found the chiweenie the next day down near the lake, wandering and lost. Part of the answer to all this was we needed a guard dog/sleep on the end of the bed make me feel safe dog. Be prepared for the scariest dog, he's vicious I tell you.

PS. I also will post a pic of our new lab puppy who is equally scary as soon as I can get her to hold still for it.

Hey, that's my baby you're eeewing!!!!!! (The one eye he has doesn't work very well either, but he sleeps on my pillow every night and writes a great advice column.)

Our shelter specializes in special needs cats. We originally started the place because the special needs cats had no place to go, every other shelter here euthanizes them immediately. Pity, because they make the best pets.

Well if you ever get to live your dream give me a shout as I have a couple foals a year and I either donate them/or give them basically for free to 4H kids.

Sometimes I will show the babies in futurities before giving them away, it all depends on the person I am considering. Gene is currently up for placement since my yearling stallion dubbed him C-Ya at birth LOL

Someone asked to see Callahan's full body mohawk.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll165/dexcsl/grovel.jpg

That's him grovelling. That black fuzz? The hazards of living with a Bernese Mountain Dog mix during shedding season. I'd have a spotless home if I vacuumed every day but I've loosened my stranglehold on cleanliness and vacuum only every three days. Sigh.

http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll165/dexcsl/callsitting.jpg

That's him sitting up. Not grovelling. It's hard to get a picture of his mohawk because he's always turning to face me and suck up. Had to try to get my boyfriend to distract him.

Haha yeah he's very stubborn and can't resist temptation via nose. A lot of bribing/attention for good behavior has been working well to get him to obey commands. We're not nearly as lax with him as we were with Skip (our westie), but Skip was less prone to jumping/nipping.

Anywho, Newton's 1/2 beagle, 1/4 each poodle and cocker spaniel.

So far the names in the running are:
Tessie & Caroline (alternate Molly). - Red Sox affiliated names
Dottie and Kit - Sisters from League of their own (My mom's a baseball fan if you couldn't guess)
Mary Kate & Ashley (Inside joke, but :groan: anyway)
Gladys & Elenore (Glady & Ellie for short, named after my grandmothers two sisters)

And him in his sweater:
http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/8916/newtonsweater.jpg

We never thought we'd put him in any clothing, but the issue is that if it's cold or rainy out, he won't go to the bathroom outside. He'll pretend to or do like a little bit, then when he gets back inside he messes. A sweater fixed the problem!
