Yeah jewelry can give you pain. When they pierced my navel, they did it too deep, and I just recently took it out because I could never find nice long navel jewelry. That one used to just spontaneously bleed unless I used to crappy captive ring it came with ftl.

edit: I might get it redone though. I usually get a piercing/tattoo when I travel. Michigan was my stomach, which wasn't a place worthy of remembering anyway. Hopefully I could pursuade them to use something at least as small as 3/8th, as I like navel shields.

I also heal so quickly that I've gotta use tapers to switch out anything crazy like rings or horseshoes or corkscrews (FYI to people not in the know, it's a style of jewelry). I am told if i'd go up in gauge to 14-16 I could ditch the tapers but I feel so conflicted.
