I have a friend who was up on SG for awhile, and she said that her VHC wasn't that painful, but nothing topped her surface piercings for her corset. She said that was more painful than anything. And I believe you've said it before on these forums that you have had corset piercings. I'm not sure how ears trumps that.

My ears still trump the surface work for the corset piercing. Again-- it's not necessarily just placement but the implement used. Ear piercing guns are using sheer force to drive a relatively blunt earring through thick flesh. All of my other piercings were done via a professional piercer with a proper needle. And yeah, the gun is like from a mall place. I got my ears done at a Claire's in fact :/

I'd say the piercings for the corset was the second most painful, but yes, ears do trump them.

I think the bottom line is that it's different for everyone. Some people have septum piercings they say were by far the worst, and still others get theirs done with almost no pain. The piercer, position of the piercing, implement used and just your own anatomy and pain tolerance I think all comes into play. There is never going to be a universal scale for this sorta thing.

Piercing guns are pretty fucking bad for piercings, actually. With the rapid force of the puncture, you fuck up alot of tissue around the actual piercing, making the healing process take way longer than it would for a regular needle piercing.

Also, when doing the cartilage of your ear with a piercing gun is probably a huge mistake, unless you don't care for a cyst behind the actual piercing.

Seriously needle >> piercing gun.

And I've had about..16 piercings all my life. The most painful one had to be my nostril, with a needle. Then again I got it done with a hoop the first time and that wasn't pretty smart but whatever.

You don't get cysts on every cartilage piercing (done with guns). I only got one out of all my ear holes. And it's gone now.

I had one when I got my ear cartilage pierced, but that was only because I didn't take care of it and slept on it a whole lot. I eventually took it out, and the cyst is completely gone.

:thanx: I didn't touch up the photos at all, but I'm sure you've noticed the almost blue tint on some. My camera is a few years old and pretty crappy. The result is it not being able to handle light and the such lol. That causes most of the pictures I take to come out extremely soft, which makes it look airbrushed. It would get grainy as hell if I tried to sharpen it in Photoshop since they are way too soft. I should probably get a new camera, but I'm broke heh. I'm spending upwards of $30,000 - $40,000 a year on school.

And yeah, I have extremely fair complexion. The problem is sunlight on it looks awful in pictures. It just makes me look even more pale hehe. But I agree about pale being greater than tan. I'm not a big fan of sunlight (I'm photo sensitive to a certain extent and it really just drains me). You'll NEVER catch me in a tanning bed. I'd look like a lobster lol.

International relations/policy is a great area to go in to, especially in this day and age. I'm working on my PhD. Working in the ICU or something along those lines is my dream. I'm already a RN, but that's more to support my education. I work as a Records Technician for a Criminal Investigation company as well. ^_^ You'd be surprised that there are actually a lot of the indie hippie types around downtown, especially the Atlantic Station area.

Hehe, I've only been married for almost a year though. I graduated high school a year early with a 4.0, and got my Bachelor's at UGA in Nursing. I was shocked I got in the CI company since I had no relevant experience, but I do type fast. In reality, working for the CI company is more or less data entry. A monkey could do it lol. I've always been the type of person to do as much as I can in life, hence having a lot accomplished so far. I'm doing the bridge from a Bachelor's to a PhD without getting my Master's. It's the same amount of school pretty much, but it's a waste just to get a Master's in my opinion. It allows me to get a jump in med school as far as my internship and residency.

Now, it does suck at times being so busy. Right now, I average about 3-4 hours of sleep if I'm lucky. I'm exhausted all the time, my hubby is pissed at me for being so busy, and my life is kinda a wreck. But, it'll be much better once I get out of school. I have a partial scholarship, and my job pays for a good bit of the remaining tuition. :)

Yeah, it is a lot of things going on for someone 23. I'm naturally a very ambitious person. I will work hard to accomplish anything I set my mind to, which is how I got where I am. Thanks for the comment about the boots! I actually saw them online and thought the same thing. They weren't that expensive either. I paid $90.00 for the pair. ^_^ They were well worth it hehe.
