I already said earlier this executive order shouldn't have targeted people who already had legal residence in the US but happened to be out of the country when it went into effect, and it looks like the courts so far agree and have put a stop to that.

While I was on the road I got a nasty voicemail from my MIL because I dared share a photo of him at a protest earlier with the rest of my family to my siblings, in law and natural. Our offense? My little guy was wearing a "Men of quality don't fear equality" shirt and I was carrying a sign that said "I want those taco trucks".

I like you so much as a person, I don't expect you or my ILs to support me or agree with my political stance, but I hope you of all people can get why parents make boundaries and enforce them. I don't think you're being mean here, but I don't think you're really acknowledging the pain that is being inflicted on people.

This isn't about being punitive, it's about doing the right thing. I'm responsible for a tiny soul. If it outrages you I'd block access to said tiny soul, then you feel a bit of the outrage I do about the trespassing of human rights going on right now and I'd hope you'd have some empathy WRT my position as a parent.

I told him our skin is lighter because it helps us get Vitamin D from the sun while living in places that are cold year around, and we've evolved to have lighter skin to absorb it better.

I also told him people don't like his friend or her daddy because they are darker but they are wrong, and that even when we're different we need to stay friends and be kind to one another.

We endured my mother killing herself and our father checking out.

He is my favorite person and I struggle with guilt every day because he has a hard time dating and I know he's going to be the most amazing husband and dad if and when he makes it.

He called me yesterday to see if I'm ok and told me he loves me and never wanted to hurt me. That is literally all I can reasonably want. Maybe the cuck men in my family have spoiled me.

We can have different opinions. That's what makes this entire country and concept of our Republic beautiful. But none of us should stand for treason (Russia) and no one should stand for sending the people who call our country home to places that they may well die.

Love, I've been off social media. This isn't "social media", this was a personal cry to me from a person harmed. I literally was wrapping up taking up Paul to breakfast and a museum when I got a personal crisis call.

While I was on the road I got a nasty voicemail from my MIL because I dared share a photo of him at a protest earlier with the rest of my family to my siblings, in law and natural. Our offense? My little guy was wearing a "Men of quality don't fear equality" shirt and I was carrying a sign that said "I want those taco trucks".

I like you so much as a person, I don't expect you or my ILs to support me or agree with my political stance, but I hope you of all people can get why parents make boundaries and enforce them. I don't think you're being mean here, but I don't think you're really acknowledging the pain that is being inflicted on people.

This isn't about being punitive, it's about doing the right thing. I'm responsible for a tiny soul. If it outrages you I'd block access to said tiny soul, then you feel a bit of the outrage I do about the trespassing of human rights going on right now and I'd hope you'd have some empathy WRT my position as a parent.

I think Trump is still getting the hang of all this, having no political experience, the presidency to him is probably like trying to fly a Boeing 747 without every flying anything before. You're going to get bumps along the way.

I honestly believe that if he didn't just throw out this executive order over the weekend and perhaps "polished" a bit more before rolling it out it would've gotten a far FAR less negative reaction.
