    You think:
    A) it can’t be a power grab if it is done after the census.
    B) it can’t be a power grab unless people specifically say it is a power grab.
    C) it can’t be a power grab if the president isn’t urging them to do it.

You do realize how dumb this all sounds right?
It's only a power grab when Republicans do it.

If Republicans insist on gerrymandering then Democrats should do it too. You can't say it's bad for Democrats and good for Republicans or that it's bad for Republicans are good for Democrats. Either we have gerrymandering or we don't.

Personally I think it should just be one person one vote for all elections
"then Democrats should do it too?" Teh fuck? You make it sound like Democrats would never do something like that!

    Please... I'm begging.. stop.

It’s really difficult for me to imagine you are this stupid. Both parties gerrymander. Both parties have done off-cycle congressional redistricting.

I was honest with you not denying that this is absolutely about picking up 5 Republican house seats. That being said, there is also an honest justification that Texas has added nearly 2 million people to its population since 2020 by refugees of failing blue states. When that happens there is good reason to take another look at the congressional districts and redraw lines to protect the political voice of impacted communities.

Instead, Texas State House Dems chose to flee from their position like the coward Moses Rose that left the Alamo before the fight with Santa Anna. They are holding up important disaster relief legislation for flood victims. Texans are pissed, and the Dems will not only lose this battle but pay dearly for abandoning their constituents.

This statement right here abandons your moral argument. If you had such an issue with so called gerrymandering you would say the Democrats shouldn’t do this under any circumstances.

Quit your pearl clutching and get off your high horse. If this were Democrats doing this, you would be totally supportive.

So then you should have no problems with Democrats doing it. Right?

You're the one acting like only Republicans do it. Democrats have been doing it longer than the Republican party has existed.

Democrats do it. Republicans do it. I say and agree that so long as that is the case, let each party do what they will within the confines of the law.

Just don’t come at me with “oh those Republicans are threatening our democracy and subverting the will of the people!” bullshit when it’s the game of politics both parties play.

What's happening in Texas is an obvious power grab. The Republicans have said it themselves. Trump has said they are entitled to five more seats. They're doing it without census information which is actually legal in the case of Texas but the way they've drawn it may run into issues with the voting rights act. Courts will determine if they are legal and if not will prevent them from being implemented. At least that's how it's supposed to work.
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This is even better and more dishonest and retarded than the retardedness I expected.

Using this logic, since democrats riot anytime they don't get their way, should republicans start rioting too anytime things don't go their way? Asking for CrydeR's mom.

PS: Democrats have been gerrymandering forever already. You're just salty because you lost and the country as a whole rejects your retardedness.
