Slavery was not uniquely American and was common practice in every nation on Earth in the 18th century. The United States was among the first nations to abolish slavery. Those that you proclaim to be “freedom fighters” still practice some forms of slavery today and restrict the rights & education of women.

It's extremely easy to know what he would have done back in the day. He would have done exactly what he's been doing the last 20 years here: toe the Party line and defend it to the end.

The Party line back then was Pro-slavery. He would have defended that practice into the 1960's at a minimum. He would have defended slavery, the anti-women movement, Jim Crow, etc...

He has always defended whatever the Democrats have pushed forth.. 1700's would have been no different.
