The number of leftists who claim "This guy deserved to be assassinated" is honestly surprising to me.

Like when did they just become so disconnected with human lives?

I get it: No one hates insurance more than I do. I don't get it, I don't understand it, I don't like it. This was never more highlighted than during the last 2 hurricanes that struck the Tampa area. 3 homes.. all had hurricane insurance.. 1 home got TRIPLE the amount that was needed to rebuild. One barely got enough to cover the repairs.. and one got nothing because their insurance company claimed it was caused by flooding (from the hurricane) and not the hurricane itself.

No one hates insurance more than I do.

But no one deserves to be assassinated on the street because they work for an insurance company.

Agreed. I posted similar thoughts/comments before reading yours, but ditto. Sure looks like we have the minority opinion from what I’ve seen on the cesspool that is social media.

I’m not really active in social media (unless you count the PC), but who wants to live in an echo chamber with repeated propaganda from one side of the political spectrum? I don’t understand the appeal, but it does exist. I think both Truth Social and Blue Sky have a market, but it will never be as prevalent as a dominant social media platform that strives to be neutral or apolitical.

I have worked for one of this guy's competing insurance companies. I am going to type something up about medical insurance, a lot of which will apply to any insurance. Suffice it to say, most people don't know shit about insurance companies and how they work and it's the most regulated industry on the planet short of maybe nuclear power.

I'll start with by saying I have plenty of morals and don't *think* I'd kill the CEO of some shady insurance company - UNLESS - my wife died because of their policies. Then I have no idea what I'd do.

I can see how someone could be run around by the insurance company he made policy at to the point that they placed all the blame on this individual, hunted him down and killed him.

Talk about the morals of the CEO now, and his AI that was wrong 90% of the time. Talk about how his company denies claims at a 2x or 3x rate above the next worst denier. He was no saint.

I think it is a bit different. I don't think overcharging on Chipotle is causing people to die due to not getting Doctor prescribed medication. And lets not act like these people are freeloaders, they've been paying premiums for years.

Not saying it was the right thing to do, hell, even Hitler would have gotten a trial, but I can understand it.
