Yes if you or I had the mind, talent, skill, work ethic, etc. we too can be billionaires. This is the land of opportunity.
All of those people you mentioned, including Trump who was literally born into a huge fortune and is basically a failson, came from privileged backgrounds or circumstance.

anyway, we can agree to disagree

Zuckerberg came from privilege? Jeff Bezos was born to a pregnant high school teen. He wasn't from privilege. Gates came from a well off family, but nothing that would have ever indicated he become the richest man in the world one day. Other than Trump, none of those people listed started with millions of dollars. Some may have had advantages, but just that isn't going to get to billions upon billions of dollars. It definitely takes a certain drive and work ethic.

So no, it's not a straw man. Set polling aside and go back to my original question.

Here it is again, in case you forgot it already from 3 lines up. Take special note of how I never mentioned polling until you kept bringing it up over unrelated shit:

EDIT: ^ Do you consider those progressive policies? If not, then what are they?
she didn't run in 2024 on surgeries for trans people. I already said that I don't know about polling for capital gains tax. you jumped into a conversation about polling that I was having with someone else, that's why i'm bringing up polling.

but, sure, they can be considered somewhat progressive. but, so what? it doesn't change the fact from the original argument I was making that you jumped into that progressive policies poll well in the country and if she espoused the more popular ones she would have done better. she also had an entire other platform with stupid shit on it that no one cared about

zuckerberg literally went to prep school. gates family was well off and he stole his ideas from xerox. bezos family loaned him like 100k or something to start his company. sounds pretty privileged to me.

yes, it takes drive and work ethic, but, again, the biggest factor is extreme luck.

Going to a prep school doesn't mean he is destined to be a billionaire. I can send my kids to a prep school. I'm not massively wealthy.

And seriously, 100k? If you can turn 100k into 223 billion dollars, I'll give it to your right now. I'm pretty sure you fucking couldn't though.

lol come on dude, are you serious? prep school at one of the wealthiest in the country. 100k or more, I'm not sure of the exact number, in like 1999.

no one is arguing that going to prep school is destined to make you a billionaire. what is being argued is that it is an extreme advantage and if you start off in that position, you have a huge head start over people who don't, on top of them just being in a set of circumstances that they are extremely lucky to be in. you're fucking retarded.

yes, dummy, let's quote something I said out of context to try and prove a point, even though anyone can just scroll up and read the whole paragraph and see that's not what I was saying.

like, why even bother parkbandit? it's shit like this that genuinely makes me think you get off on this. it's either that or your brain seriously isn't functioning.

either way, i think it's time for your wife to change your diaper.
You come across as an unintelligent individual with every single post you make.

All it sounds like is most people who over-value themselves, their efforts, their commitment, their daring... People think they could accomplish and obtain what others have... but they don't... and it's usually because they aren't willing to do what it takes to truly achieve something.

All of us, myself included, are normal people... we are not visionaries, we are not inventors, we are not maniacal work driven perfectionists... people like that are.

It's okay to be normal. It's okay to also appreciate the fact we have near zealots like the people we're talking about pushing humanity forward.

What others achieve, has no bearing what-so-ever on what you achieve for yourself.

"Luck"? Want to know what "luck" is? People like Kim Kardashian... famous, wealthy, and why? For a sex tape. Do I denigrate her for it? Nope, she made it work and got extremely wealthy from it... but did she contribute anything to humanity in the grand scheme of things? Not one bit...

Musk, Bezos, etc.? Say what you want... but they're doing, and have done, the shit that has defined and driven innovation.

Stop being so spiteful, and possibly a bit more thankful? Otherwise... go out there and create something, make billions, and help us all... otherwise just shut the fuck up.

copy and pasting some text from a Forbes article doesn't in any way prove me wrong and you are very, very stupid. and old. very old and stupid.
No you didn't. You claimed this:

You were proven incorrect... as Forbes claims that 70% of all billionaires in the US are self made. I realize you are unfamiliar with this term since you have no experience with success... but needless to say, it is from hard work and talent. Yes, it certainly takes some luck.. and it's much easier to do when you get a loan from your parents to get started... but it's not always about good luck and generational wealth as you said it was.

please stop dunking on me so hard.
Stop making it so easy, retard.
