I agree with you mostly, but it is somewhat relevant as her race and policy change depending on who she is pandering to. She’s a typical political chameleon who stands for everything and nothing.

Gelston was just on here the other day talking about how his wife’s employee said she is voting for Kamala because she is a black woman…

Politics is a dirty game. You don’t win elections with only the smart people votes. Perhaps by pointing out that Kamala isn’t the kind of black person some think she is, it could change who they are voting for & why? I’m not a campaign strategist. Personally I prefer that we stick to the political agenda voter issues, but it’s dumb shit like this that people want to talk about.

To be fair, the type of person who says they are voting for Harris because she is a black woman was probably going to vote Democrat no matter what.

I have yet to meet the person who says shit like "I am voting for <person> because they are <skin color>" and this is consistent whether the person they are voting for is a Democrat or a Republican, they always just vote Democrat.

I can, however, see this type of person maybe just not bothering to vote at all if Biden were still the nominee and now they are more motivated to vote.

Oh I’m sure there are some people that will be voting for Trump in this election just because he is a white man. Stupidity and racism happens in every race/religion/creed/ethnicity/gender/etc.

Point taken though, and I’ll concede that nothing either candidate says is likely to change how those kind of mouth breathers vote. Trump should probably just shut up about this and move on, but character flaws and all…

By the rules of Trumpworld, Trump's minions are forever required to defend his statement and prove that Harris recently turned black..

At Trump’s rally tonight in Pennsylvania, they projected a headline from Business Insider back when Harris was elected to the Senate, noting she was the first Indian-American senator in US history. Alina Habba was just up on the stage talking about how, unlike Harris, she knows who she really is.

So Trump’s comments today about Harris decided to become black when it was convenient for her career wasn’t some offhand riff, but a planned theme they’re going to hammer.

You sound really bothered about identifying Kamala as black, why is that?

    Not really.

You can evolve your position over time, changing your mind on the nuance of the subject... but what makes people believe you are saying anything to get elected is what she is doing now.

It doesn't shock me at all that someone who is known for his mealy-mouthed responses believes it's normal to do this.

    It's not normal.
