Thread: Trump Says Rising Sea Levels Will Create More Beachfront Property

Smile Trump Says Rising Sea Levels Will Create More Beachfront Property

Trump, who has called climate change a “great hoax,” said nuclear weapons were “the single biggest threat, not global warming.”

“They say that the seas will rise over the next 400 years, one-eighth of an inch, you know, which means basically have a little more beachfront property OK,” he remarked.

How would a rise in sea level affect the amount of beachfront property?
    (a) The number of acres of beachfront property would increase.
    (b) The number of acres of beachfront property would decrease.
    (c) The number of acres of beachfront property would stay the same, but it would be different acres because the location of the beach would move.
Houses have always been fireproof, take my word for it.

Trump seems to think that by inundating existing beachfront property, thereby destroying it, it'll create more prime real-estate for others. I'd laugh at how much of a moron he is, but we've already seen his amending weather models with sharpies and undercutting his own infectious disease people to inject bleach instead.

If existing beachfront property will be inundated by 1/8" sea level rise, then they shouldn't be insured.

Maybe you should inject bleach into your skull and see if it finds a single thing to kill. I'm betting it won't find a thing.

Funny, because whip Trump incorrectly claimed 1/8", the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released the below study showing the correct sea level increase numbers. That is why you and Dump are being mocked.

The Next 30 Years of Sea Level Rise
Sea level along the U.S. coastline is projected to rise, on average, 10 - 12 inches (0.25 - 0.30 meters) in the next 30 years (2020 - 2050), which will be as much as the rise measured over the last 100 years (1920 - 2020). Sea level rise will vary regionally along U.S. coasts because of changes in both land and ocean height.

    More Damaging Flooding Projected
Sea level rise will create a profound shift in coastal flooding over the next 30 years by causing tide and storm surge heights to increase and reach further inland. By 2050, “moderate” (typically damaging) flooding is expected to occur, on average, more than 10 times as often as it does today, and can be intensified by local factors.

    Emissions Matter
Current and future emissions matter. About 2 feet (0.6 meters) of sea level rise along the U.S. coastline is increasingly likely between 2020 and 2100 because of emissions to date. Failing to curb future emissions could cause an additional 1.5 - 5 feet (0.5 - 1.5 meters) of rise for a total of 3.5 - 7 feet (1.1 - 2.1 meters) by the end of this century.

    Continual Tracking
Continuously tracking how and why sea level is changing is an important part of informing plans for adaptation. Our ability to monitor and understand the individual factors that contribute to sea level rise allows us to track sea level changes in a way that has never before been possible (e.g., using satellites to track global ocean levels and ice sheet thickness). Ongoing and expanded monitoring will be critical as sea levels continue to rise.

You know how I know you are so full of retard?

Because you sit there, with your mouth agape, just waiting to swallow anything the left tells you about climate change. Here's some examples:

    * In his 2006 documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," Al Gore predicted that sea levels could rise by up to 20 feet "in the near future" due to melting ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica.
    * In the late 1980s, the United Nations claimed that if global warming was not checked by the year 2000, entire nations would be submerged by rising sea levels.
    * In 2012, Peter Wadhams, a professor of ocean physics, predicted a "global disaster" from the loss of Arctic sea ice within four years, which would contribute significantly to sea level rise.

And here you are, still kneeling down, waiting to swallow their load.

    You.

    Fucking.

So again, we have the present scientific evidence of sea level rise as reported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, versus what Trump incorrectly claimed. Your response, the obligatory retard comment, since you're incapable of coherent rebuttal, and a reference to another almost twenty year old claim.

What precisely do you have against science?

Which science are you referring to?

We can't figure out what a woman is... or the wildly exaggerated claims that say we are headed for Armageddon with the climate and the US needs to spend more money and maybe move to a socialist type economy to save the planet?

    You.
