Does this surprise you? He got absolutely WOMPED by Biden in the debates in 2020 and lost handily as a result. His speeches this year have been riddled with incomprehensible slurring, eye drooping, feet dragging, and just the other day nearly falling over when he was unable to keep himself upright. Not to mention being unable to stay awake during the day. Trump will need to lower expectations to a point where showing up, no matter the dumpster fire of his performance, will be a technical win.

They had the coin flip for the debate next week. The winner of the coin flip got to pick between choosing (a) which side of the stage to be on or (b) whether to go first or last at the end of the debate.

Biden won the coin toss. He used the win to choose which side of the stage to be on. Biden choose the right side of the teevee screen.

Trump then got to choose who would go last in the closing remarks at the end of the debate. Trump chose to go last.

Getting to go last seems more important to me than which side of the screen the candidate is on. Why did Biden place more importance on the side of the stage he would occupy?
