Police in Canada are advising home owners to keep their car keys by their front door so car thieves can more easily find their keys to steal their car.
No, I’m serious, this really happened. The supposed reason was because these thieves just want the car (police in Canada are mind readers now) so making it easy for the thieves to get the keys by leaving them by the front door means there will be less of a chance of an encounter between home invader and home owner.
Why not actually arrest violent criminals and keep them in prison? Or tell home owners how they can better defend themselves and their possessions to hopefully deter criminals from breaking into homes to begin with?
One thing is for sure though: you get what you vote for.
Oh wow, I totally misread this news article. The police didn’t advise people to leave their car keys INSIDE their home, they advised people to leave their car keys OUTSIDE their home by the front door.
Surely this wouldn’t encourage more auto theft by making it so easy to steal cars.
I’m just surprised the police didn’t also recommend leaving a note by the keys reading “Just filled the tank up for you and left 100 dollars in the glove box for walking around money. Sorry for being white!”
